People refusing to clean up after their dog is said to be causing concern in Donegal Town.

 

It comes as multiple instances of dog mess have been spotted on streets in the town, including outside business premises.

 

At the start of the month the fine for littering, including dog mess, was increased from €150 to €250.

 

Cathaoirleach of the Donegal MD Jimmy Brogan says if you're not prepared to clean up after your dog, you shouldn't have one:
