It's been confirmed construction on the long awaited Cleary Centre in Donegal Town could commence by the end of 2026.

The centre for adults with disabilities has been closed since 2014.

Plans have been in the pipeline for some time to transform the centre with a variety of facilities on site.

The HSE say it's anticipated the tender to appoint a suitable contractor will be issued to the market in Q3 of this year with construction then expected to start by years end.
