 

Planning permission has been granted for a major extension at St Phelim's Nursing Home, with 35 new en-suite bedrooms to be added to the existing facility.


The development will also include additional storage, workshop and refuse facilities, with construction expected to support local employment while increasing nursing home capacity.


The extension is seen as an important investment in care services for older people and those with disabilities across Leitrim and the wider region.


Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council, Mary Bohan says the expansion will be "a very good development" that will greatly benefit residents, families and the wider community
