The public consultation has opened on plans to redevelop the old courthouse and dispensary in Ballymote.

The Part 8 proposal includes a new community library, a social history museum and improvements to the surrounding public space.

Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr Dara Mulvey, believes the project will be a major boost for Ballymote and South Sligo.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Mulvey is encouraging people to have their say during the public consultation.
