It's fine to be friends with your friend's partners, and even be somewhat close with them if everyone is cool with it. But nonetheless, there are definitely certain boundaries that should not be crossed. In the first story, a man runs into this exact issue when his roommate's girlfriend constantly barges into his room without knocking, leading to a very awkward situation. In the second story, a woman is frustrated by her coworker constantly making reference to her weight, and decides to retaliate in the same manner.
