CRESTVIEW — A former Okaloosa County sheriff‘s deputy will serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges after he attempted to convince a 9-year-old girl to have sex with him.Circuit Judge Michael Flowers sentenced Cansas Timothy Sadler Jr. on five counts of transmitting material harmful to minors and one count each of using an electronic device to solicit sexual conduct with a minor; using an electronic device to solicit sexual conduct with a minor while misrepresenting his age; and unlawful use of a communications device in the commission of a felony, according to a news release from the State Attorney‘Office.Sadler will also be required to wear a GPS monitor for 15 years while serving sex offender probation, and he will carry a sexual offender designation for the rest of his life, the release said.
