Ireland’s Budget for 2027 was announced earlier this week.

The opposition parties say it does not go far enough to support people during the current cost-of-living crisis, while the Fiscal Advisory Council is also unhappy, claiming that the Budget will increase the country’s reliance on high-risk corporation tax.

Junior Minister and Sligo-Leitrim Deputy Frank Feighan and Sinn Féin finance spokesperson, Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty, shared very contrasting views on Budget 2027 on this morning’s North West Today.
