Donegal town native, India Kennedy has been appointed as Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Irish Fish Producers Organisation based mainly in Brussels.
India studied Politics and International Relations at Ulster University where her research focused on the impact of EU fisheries policy on the Killybegs fishing community. She recently completed an internship in the European Parliament with MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú, working as a Fisheries Advisor and Personal Assistant.
Her new role will involve policy research, stakeholder engagement, communications, scheduling, PR activity and social media support.
