A University of North Carolina Wilmington professor wrote, then later deleted, a three-word Facebook post that said, "Blow up Republicans." Now, Dr. Dan Johnson, an associate professor in UNCW's School of Health and Applied Human Sciences, has resigned from the board of a Wilmington nonprofit he founded even as a statement from UNCW called his post-free speech and protected by the First Amendment. On Monday, Johnson resigned from the board of directors of ACCESS (Accessible Coastal Carolina Events Sports and Services) of Wilmington.
