Its neighbors, Thailand and Vietnam, might have more culinary representation in the Wilmington area — but Laos, too, has a unique food tradition. Those dishes will be the focus of a new restaurant coming to Castle Street. Vientiane Kitchen, named for the capital of Laos, is in the works at 701 Castle St., the former location of The Hungry Sparrow.
