View descriptionShare

A former Onslow County teacher had her first appearance in court Monday on allegations of having inappropriate relationships with two students. Thirty-two-year-old Ashley Henson Beasley, of Stella will be represented by a court-appointed attorney and her next court date is scheduled for Jan. 13. She remained in the Onslow County Jail under an $80,000 bond as of Monday. Beasley, who was teaching at Hunters Creek Middle School at the time of the alleged incidents, was arrested Dec. 6 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a student by a teacher. An investigation began into the allegations after an anonymous tip was received on the school’s online “HCMS-Say Something” site. The information provided was that a teacher at Hunters Creek Middle School was having inappropriate relationships with two 14-year-old boys at the school, according to a previous Daily News report. The OCSO Special Victim’s Unit investigation found Beasley allegedly sent inappropriate photos and videos of herself to two of her students at the middle school. The arrest warrants state the alleged offenses occurred between Oct. 15 and Dec. 4. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information has been released by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.
