The Davidson County Schools Board of Education approved $2.4 million in CARES Act funding for the purchase of Dell Chromebooks for all middle and high school students in the district during its regular meeting on Monday.
Deana Coley, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction in Davidson County Schools, stated the Davidson County Schools will received $3.3 million in CARES act funds that can be used for the purchase of additional technology devices.
Keith Koontz, director of technology for Davidson County School, said the funds will used for the purchase of 10,000 Dell Chromebooks and bag for every student in sixth through twelfth grade.
