The change of season is bringing a surge in COVID-19 cases locally, statewide and nationally, according to an official at Pardee UNC Health Care.
Pardee Chief Medical Officer David Ellis said North Carolina and Henderson County have seen a recent increase in cases (per 100,000 population) with a subsequent increase in hospitalizations at Pardee.
Ellis urged people to continue following the 3 W's of wearing masks, waiting 6-feet apart and washing their hands.
