Asheville Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found the morning of Nov. 16 near the French Broad River. Police spokeswoman Christina Hallingse said police received a report of a deceased person in the area of Emma Road and responded this morning. Hallingse would not say if police know the gender or approximate age of the person found, or if they believe the person was the victim of a crime.
