There were tears and smiles as Susan Hayes announced her retirement as Randolph County Health Director to the Randolph County Board of Health. After 34 years of serving as a public servant in health-related fields, Hayes will be retiring on June 1st to spend more time with her grandchildren. Tara Aker, who has worked for the Randolph County Health Department for over 15 years, will take over the position.
