Appeal denied for man who killed Kings Mountain woman

View descriptionShare

The N.C. Court of Appeals recently rejected an appeal filed by a man who fired on a family of three, killing the mother and forever handicapping the father in an ongoing neighborhood feud.

In November 2018, Robert “Chad” Bridges was sentenced to a minimum of 38 years in prison for killing Myla Oaks and forever crippling her husband, Jeff Oaks.

The devastating encounter happened just after daybreak on Jan. 27, 2016, on Mann Court in Kings Mountain.
