Amazon on Thursday announced plans tobuild a new delivery station in Fayetteville, bringing with it hundreds of jobs and increased ability for the company to serve the Cumberland County area. 

The new facility will be located at 1005 Dunn Road in what's currently a distribution center for Soffe, a clothing company founded in Fayetteville in 1946 and now owned by Delta Apparel. 

Construction will begin late this summer to outfit the building to Amazon's needs. If all goes as planned, Amazon will be up and running in the new facility in the first quarter of 2022.
