Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay (WC), a senior living community in Virginia Beach, in partnership with Virginia Beach Art Center, will host our first annual juried student art exhibit and contest in celebration of Black History Month. Black undergraduate and graduate student artists who attend Hampton Roads-area colleges and universities have been invited to submit works of art that reflect their personal experiences or life journeys. WC will host an invitation-only opening reception on Wed., Feb. 23, starting at 4 p.m. On the last day of the show, March 18, at 5 pm, WC will announce the award winners via Facebook Live event. The public can view the exhibit from Feb. 24 through March 17, Mon. through Fri. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
