Amaza Ntshanga is a South African musician, radio personality, programme director and MC. Best known as host of 123 Pholaz on uMhlobo Wenene FM, which reaches approximately 4.5 million listeners weekly. Has over 20 years of broadcasting experience and joined uMhlobo Wenene FM in 2005. 

Recognised for strong on-air discipline, language, pacing and deep listener connection, contributing to the culture of Xhosa broadcasting. Experienced MC who has hosted corporate events, government programmes, community dialogues and social impact initiatives. Winner at the Liberty Radio Awards in 2019. Served as Afternoon Drive Presenter (PBS) at uMhlobo Wenene FM. Expanding into music as an Afro Tech DJ and producer.

Describes his Afro Tech sound as rooted, spiritual, patient and intentional, blending African rhythm with global electronic elements. Influenced by radio storytelling, with music that features deep, soulful, meditative sounds, slow builds and emotional progression. Upcoming debut Afro Tech single titled “BANA YANGO.” Music will be available on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. 2026 plans include additional releases, collaborations, live experiences and international projects through Asanda Empires.
