Mondli was mentored by the late South African artist Speelman Mahlangu; Mondli “The Artivist” Kunene studied B.Ed. (Education) at the University of Johannesburg and after a decade working within the Education sector, he left the sector back in 2018 to create art full-time under his registered company Mondli Art Projects. He has also been commissioned to paint huge murals in Sharpeville to Commemorate former President Nelson Mandela and Albertina Sisulu’s centennial celebration. 20
