RADIO SHOW in the car WEBThis week on the Nindilingarri Radio Hour, Ben Storer and Jude Hassett take the show on the road, quite literally. This episode was recorded while driving down the highway on their way home from Noonkanbah. The Nindi team have been busy out in communities handing out RAT tests.
This week they look at Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE as it’s known. What is it, how does it work? And, most importantly, what does it feel like to be covered in all that gear, working in healthcare?
They also go through what health services mean when they ask you to isolate and how you might do that.
The other issue that is becoming clear to people in the region is balancing mental health issues. Being forced to isolate at home for a period can be lonely and uncomfortable, so how do we balance this?
And finally, a new Nindi Radio Hour term, ‘Headless Chook Syndrome’. It’s important that we don’t get so scared of covid that we are angry with people who get it. Look after yourself, don’t talk bad way about people and don’t give up on life.
The Nindilingarri Radio Hour is produced and presented by the Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services team and gives you all the latest health information relevant to your community.
