The Brown University shooter, also believed to be responsible for the shooting death of an MIT professor two days later in Brookline, Massachusetts, was found dead in a storage unit in Salem, NH. The shooter, identified by police as 48-year-old Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Valente was a former Brown University grad student and previously attended the same university in Portugal as the MIT professor who was killed. Police are still investigating a motive.
