With the FIFA World Cup coming to town and the anticipation of a surge of visitors to the area, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Governor Maura Healey are supporting legislation that would allow communities across the state to temporarily extend last call to as late as 3 a.m. Rhode Island has already passed a bill to let bars stay open until 4 a.m. during the World Cup.
