In late 2025 and early 2026, the conversation around the "AI threat" to the Australian workforce shifted from theoretical warnings to a major policy pivot within the Labor government. Ed Husic, who was a primary architect of Australia's proposed AI regulations, has recently moved from the Industry and Science portfolio. Following his move, the government released its National AI Plan (December 2024–2026), which marked a significant departure from Husic's original "hard" regulatory stance. Ed spoke with John to discuss the ongoing threat of AI to the workforce in Australia now and into the future.

Caroline O'Connor will lead the cast for the Australian premiere of the hit Broadway musical, The Prom. She will play the role of the Broadway diva Dee Dee Allen (a role played by Meryl Streep in the Netflix adaptation). The production will be staged at the newly revitalized Teatro at the Italian Forum in Leichhardt, Sydney and is scheduled to begin on March 24th.
