This week is National Palliative Care Week, a topic that is not widely spoken about. The theme this year is “Palliative Care It’s more than you think.” This aims to raise awareness about the many benefits of quality palliative care. National Palliative Care Week provides an opportunity to talk about the topic that effect many of us, with one in three Australians having had a family member receive palliative care. The week also gives the chance to thank all those that work and volunteer in palliative care areas all across Australia.
