If you’re one of the millions of heroes home-schooling your children, it’s unlikely you’ll have the time to read this.
 
But someone had to say something about the shemozzle that is “home learning” and how desperately unfair it is. 
 
Home schoolers are the forgotten victims of this pandemic. There’s government relief if you can’t work, if you get the virus, if you’re caring for someone, and if you’re working at home.
 
But there’s next to nothing for those who have taken over the burden of teaching our kids, despite still paying the government and/or private schools to do so.
 
Many are doing it on top of their full-time jobs, at their own expense. One single mum of three kids I spoke to has been pushing work deadlines back for two weeks and was planning an all-nighter to catch up. 
 
“It’s like they’ve just been given six hours of homework each day,” said another parent, “and with younger kids that means it’s up to us to explain it all to them.”
 
With that said, Joel Gibson joins John Stanley with some ways we could help home schoolers.
