The tour T shirt which I'm currently wearing, has dropped earlier this week, as did the shirt. Please go buy yours now at eighty four dot com. Oh Joe, I was at UFC three or six tonight at the sphere. It is unbelievable. It was incredible.
How was the spare It's nice?
I can let me let me like this here.
Yeah, it's great old shoe, but the venue should not be the attraction the event should be. It's so much going on, it is so beautiful, and the theatrics of it is that it overshadows whatever's going on in there. And you know, and I get why Dana did it because when I sat down and interviewed him about two and a half months ago, he said they were gonna have this as a at a tribute to to the Mexican heritage.
I think it's Mexican independence. Uh what what is it? It's uh, but it was a Mexican theme.
They had a movie, uh in between every fight, so it was great, O Joe, but it's just like it just overwhelms the event. So you find itself looking at the big video jumbo trons and it's like you're watching a TV in your living room, even though they're like two hundred inches long wide. The lights, they got drones line, it looks like birds are up in the air. Is just anybody that's been there know exactly what I'm talking about. And obviously they're trying to have more events scheduled there, but it just overwhelms the event.
The BENU does how many how many? How many people?
You think the spir hole.
What is it like fifteen twenty thousands. They're eighteen and a half thousand, eighteen.
You know what, Now that I see here and think about it, it's such a nice event.
Obviously I haven't been there.
I'm not sure how much it cost to get in, but it's probably a pretty penny. Yeah, Like, think about this in the future, like stay with me now, Nightcap.
In Vegas and the Spare.
Yeah, yeah, that would be something unbelievable.
Yes, yes, it would.
Let's peak that into existence then, okay, Chance.
Not capo the sphear have I have I have this? Oh Joe, have this on now on the ball because you know it glows in life.
You know, I like it.
I liken manifest that.
I mean you put that. You could leave it up there today. It cost You're half familiar for a day.
We got it, We got it right, we do it.
But it was incredible.
O Joe Beta Wet Chance Marob the Vashilia defeated Sugar Shane Sugar Sean O'Malley by unanimous decision. Oh Jo, he just out wrestled him. Yeah, O'Malley is gonna have to be careful. He has dynamite in his hands, but he kind of reminds you a lot of Connor McGregor.
He has no Once he got on the ground, he can't get up. Yeah, both of them.
McGregor also had that problem.
He was a great striker, Yes he's a bigger striker, but he wasn't really good on the ground and when went down on the ground, he wasn't good at that really getting up out of stuff.
And how he say his name, his first name, Mara.
He was he was able to tire able to tire him out, and he kept he kept him off rhythm, so he couldn't get any clean shots because he continuously bounced really the whole the whole goddamn fight, and pick and chose his spots and went to take him down.
Yeah.
That he's like the energize the bunny. He just all he just he don't give you a whole lot of chance. And you're gonna have to fill up. You're gonna have to fill up early, and you have to get on your bicycle because you know, you know, he's trying to measure him, trying to land those shots. And every time he takes him down, he shoot takes him down. And now he spent the time and he found him, tiring him up, tying him out. And that's the thing. O'Malley's gonna have to be really careful. I like it he has uh you know, he has dyn him right in his hands. But oh Joe, you cannot be wonder up. You don't need to be great at any good at any one thing of UFC. You need to be good at a lot of things. And the people that are good at a lot of things, you're John Jones, You're George Saint Pierre's. If guys like that have mighty mouth, Demetria Johnson, if guys that have range that are able to survive and be multiple Uh what's the guy name? Uh? The Brazilian I forget his name. And silver. You need to be good at a lot of different things. You need to be able to strike. You need to be able to take that wrestle. You need to be able to block wrestling. You need to be able to fight from the ground. You need to be able to get up and and and Sean is like he can strike, he wants to stand and exchange with you.
Well that's not your why would I do that?
But that opponent listen. You have to you have to be able to adjust the opponents. Every every opponent's style is going to be different. Now, miraj style wasn't really in favor of Sean O'Malley, and based on what he likes to do. Yes, you know, he kept him on the move the entire fight, Yes, Paddy, Yes, And because he was, he was coming in and out, in and out. He wouldn't be still. He was he wanted to sit in the target. He wasn't gonna sit down in exchange with you. Then you gotta you gotta think about Also, you gotta be careful with rushing in.
He can he can take you down, you can get you can get clipped.
It's so many different things, so many different things, and so many factors that go into fighting.
I mean it's a chess matching there. Uh it was a one sided fight.
I was both both both championship fights U valentinership.
Uh. She won easily.
Yeah, over grass Flow. I mean, I mean basically she she kept every time you down with the thing, you keep you on your toes. You're like, oh yeah, yeah, shoot boom on the ground. Now spend the next two to three minutes tying you out and getting punched in all this. Uh, but it was really a lopsided fight. I mean, I'm very pleased with the with the show that Dana put put on, I'm not for he, So I'm not so sure he's pleased with the performance he's got because I mean, no, people want to see knockouts. When you go to the UFC, you expected to see somebody get a clip. You expect to see somebody get submitted, somebody get choked out, something and every and and and and it seems like everything with the went to the cards. Now Diego Lopez and Brian O'taga, there was I mean, Lopez would throwing haymakers.
I thought, I don't.
I still don't know how or Taga survived. I don't know Ojo because he was hurt early in the fight. I thought he was out.
And he was able to survive that. But yeah, I thought.
I definitely thought, uh uh, it would be a more interesting fight with O'Malley, with O'Malley and Morob, But it wasn't because, like you said.
He heard you heard the boobs, right, you heard the booths? Yeah, I heard.
That's not what the people wanted to see. The people want to see actual fighting. But obviously when you get in there on the octagon. You got to be TG is a championship fight, so he had to do what he had to do to win the fight. And listen, it wasn't It wasn't a fan favorite. Obviously it wouldn't be because Rob wouldn't sit there in exchange.
So why would it.
Yeah, yeah, you gotta be tactical, yes he did.
I know you got heavy artillery.
I got a knife for the sling shot, and you want me to get and you know I'm gonna pick you off.
I'm all wait to take my shot.
I'm gonna take that away til I get an opening, and I'm gonna shot my shot. Tie your ass up, put you on the ground, because you're gonna have to exert more energy to get me up off you than I do have to exert energy to stay on top of you.
And so that's all. He did the same thing with Connor.
And I'm not saying he's Connor McGregor, but he reminded his fighting style. He has great power and especially in his left he could put you down with either hand. But once they get once they got put on their backs. And if you think about it, everybody that beat Connor, think about what they do.
They drug him out the deep water, get him on the ground, around him, even on the box and match what floorid doe?
Drag him out the deep water, even at his age, Drag him out to the deep, push him down, and man, he's gonna have to get better at that's to say. Look Roda Rousey, what she did for the female, for the Women's UH and the W and the UFCM. But she was too one dimensional. If she couldn't arm bar you, she couldn't beat you. She couldn't leg locked it, she couldn't beat you. And once Holly Holme kicked up side the head, now all of a sudden, o jo, that brain has slashed flashed against the skull. It's easier. And then what a man? The new nas says, I'm we had the man the new names. That fight was in New York. Uh No, it wasn't. We was in New York because that's when Carnor fought all though jose Aldo and she came on the set and she says, I'm gonna punish her.
She says, I'm going to punish her.
She said, right, I mean, I'm sitting here and she's sitting right there, and I'm talking to her, and you can see the look in her eyes. And I remember telling Skip when when the break came and she left, I said, she's gonna knock he gonna knock run out. You can see how lazy the focus she was. And I think the fight was like a month away of something you were locked in. And I knew a little bit about her, but the line of came to be played with. She got dynamite in her hands. She's relentless, she can do it all. But that's what you need to be good at. Looking at these fighters that have really that had stay in power. You you don't have to be great. You need to be good at a lot of different things. You gotta be able to wrestle. You gotta be able to strike. You can be able to comment somebody, but you gotta be able to get up. If you can't get up, because eventually somebody gonna get you. Somebody's gonna put your ass on your back. Eventually they will. And then what do you then?
What happens? What is your defense? Then?
But but the the the event, Dane Daniel, you did an unbelievable job. Boy, The theatrics and the theme, the Mexican, the heritage and the way they had it going.
Oh Jo, it was. It was an unbelievable event. I just know.
I don't think Dana got what he wanted as far as you know, submissions, knockouts, things of that nature. Lopez and Ortega had the best fight of the night for me. There was another fight early in the game, earlier the black guy forget, I forget it was. I thought he had to do it hurt, he had him. I mean, dude tried to kick him. He got him in fooon, caught it right on the button head hit. I was like, oh he got it right. Dude got up, he fought through that ended up winning in three rounds. I think I don't think it was a thirty twenty seven, considering that I would have gave him a ten eight, considering that he can completely dominated the first round, don't.
I don't think it was. I don't think it was a twenty seven.
I think he had maybe if you want to say, he lost, but not by the scores that they had it.
But it was good.
It was a good It was a good situation. I'm glad I got an opportunity. I don't know if I'll go back to the sphere because the events that they've been having there. I don't know if that's kind of you know, like the Eagles and YouTube, that's kind of not my thing. Now would I go see Beyonce there? Yeah, because you're gonna put on a show. So it's a it's a venue and a show within a show. I think probably two people that could could could put on a show there. You're probably looking at Beyonce and you're looking at Taylor Swift. Those are the only that come to my mind for that venue.
Oh, for that venue to be able to be to be able to fill that venue up.
Because if you think those tickets are so far or wherever Beyonce and Taylor Swift though, you think those tickets are high? Right, boy, are you talking about improv state building high?
Listen?
You have to understand something now you talk about Beyonce and Taylor Swift being able to fill up the Spear. Now, I don't think for one minute, if we have enough promotion ahead of time, we can't feel that thing up to eighteen thousand.
Now, don't don't do that. We might be a year away.
No no, no, no, no, no no, no, we we know year away because listen I can get I can get ten thousand from Cincinnati to come out.
To the support.
You can get ten thousand from Denver, Baltimore to.
Coming say, oh yeah, show I get by, get by that, get by the about a thousand come from the atl for sure.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, they definitely coming. Listen.
My grandma always told me, man, the tongue is a powerful thing. So some of the things that you speak most of the time, you can speak things into existence. It's a possibly a possibility in a year.
Yeah, I mean, look, I mean there'll probably be some other people that could probably like uh adell, I mean a Dale voice. I mean, but you gotta see a Dale voice. She needs to be in a venue where you can appreciate it. Yeah, like I'm talking about appreciated.
Man could sound about but the sound bounce off the cilding to come right back to you.
So you get a better understanding.
On on on the purity, yes, and in the effortless, effortlessess that she can sing with.
And yeah, that and her voice. Because she's a storyteller. She's gonna sit down, you know, she's gonna sit on the steps and she's gonna tell your story, where she was in her life, what she was doing when this song came to her. She started writing it down. O Joe, But man, you gotta hear that woman's voice. That woman. I've never heard Whitney in person. I've never heard Mariah in person. But I can only imagine, never heard or read. There is some great singers, O Joe. Don't get me wrong, but.
Let me give one to you. Let me give one to you. Ain't said yet.
Now one of the most soulful can sing any genre music, and to me has one of the top voices in the world.
Or Dell is nice. You ever heard Kekey White singing? Person?
I have not heard Kekey Why she got? You got? She got? She got? She got lungs on him? Ask the chat. I let it.
I let the chat tell you chat. She got Wyatt Man. Come on now. She can take you to church. She can give you R and B, she can give.
You rhythm in blues, she can give you pop.
Right, hey, listen that woman. Now when it comes to singing and we talk about range.
You know, hey, oh Joe, you know who else would be good in there? I don't know if you've ever seen it.
Bruno Mars.
Oh, listen, Bruno Mars is one of the one of the better performers of our generation.
Now he he doesn't get the credit he deserves. He is one of the better performers.
Listen.
When you talk about stage presence, he could do it, being able to command the crowd, command the crowd.
He can say, he can dance, he can play instruments. Yeah, he good. Oh, yeah, he good. I've I've seen him a couple of times. I've seen him a couple of.
Times and and uh and and perform and he's he's unbelievable.
Yeah, be nice, Dana, thank you for the ticket.
Jordan and I went to the there tonight and uh, we had a good time. I'm still hungry though. They said, oh he got food to sweet. Now I'm good that donut. I don't look at donuts and twizzlers.
H U. I got to go on the bed on the Himpy show tonight. Don't you hold hold on?
It was no, no, no no no. If you know food is sweet and the sweet is uh, it is free.
But you was in the sweet yeah, oh oh you got money back? No, Danna hook it up because you remember when I interviewed Dana and he said, he said, bro, I need to you know camera, I said, bro, I need to be at that.
It's like hit me, you know. I hit him up, and he's like, how many you need? I say too, because I.
Don't really like going to you know, Jordan's you know, Jordan's blocking you know, he he's Jonathan. He he be clear the path for me. So we had it was a great time. I got an opportunity to see huh.
I showed.
I showed what a light to go. But it's cool.
Yep, you went. Hold on. I thought you'd gonna be in Chicago. I was in Chicago yesterday. I'm back in Miami, hown be So so you go come back here? Just I went. I went.
I went to my homeboy wedding, my homeboy Ryan. Yeah, he got married. I can't I left last night. So what I could have done if there was an invite or former invite, you know, for me, I could have left and quught a flight out of the Vegas just to be able to enjoy the spirit with you, so I could actually have a better understanding on your explanation of how great it was and how theself took away from the actually Venicel, but I didn't get an invite.
It was okay, I tell you holdo on the next fight, the three fight three, what is it? P Militiic and John Jones. It's gonna be a matthis court guard.
I might, I might.
There's a chance. Honestly, it was a surprise for the chat. That was a surprise for you.
There's a chance I might be on that three or seven card.
I'm just I'm just throwing that out there now.
So uh so yeah, but uh, like I said, if the like fights here, if you know, I can you know, like I said, I know Dana Dana's Dana's because when the UFC used to be with Fox, he would always come on.
I would bet him such as such.
You know, we had a big old bet end up buying me like an expensive bottle a lift because I had him that Floyd was gonna win.
He had Connor obviously, and so but.
Yeah, if you if you coming out here and you want to go to a UFC fight, just let me know. But then that but then that forces us to be late, and I know you be willing to good to be yeah.
Yeah yeah yeah, see see able to stay up to night and and and and be able to give my all.
You can tell by my energy.
You took a nap today. Yeah, I took a nap. I took a nap today.
So if we want to stay until five o'clock, you know here on five o'clock Easton, I'm I'm okay.
Yeah, that took me a nice four hour nap.
No, I ain't take I ain't take no nap today.
I know, I know you hurting.
No, I'm good, bro, I'm good. I got me a workout. I'm good. All right, all right, you know I'm good. Oh Joe. Colorado goes on the road beat in state rival Colorado State the Buffalo's twenty eight the Rams nine Travis Hunter and Shardor Sanders lead Colorado to the seventh straight WNT over CSU. Travis Hunter caught two of Shador's four touchdown passes, also had an interception and a path breakup. Remember last year, Travis suffered a lacerated liver a late hit by Henry Blackburn. Travs caught a touchdown against Blackburn. Today, Chador with thirty six and forty nine three ten four touchdown zero I in T's offensive offensive line did an unbelievable job. If you didn't know better, they were guarding the vault at a bank. You know how they be standing in front of the ball. Yeah, that's how they stood today. The Buffalo was wearing their new all white uniforms and the defense came up big.
They came to play.
This is what we're talking about, forcing four turnovers.
Today and they dominate CSU.
I guess what, I guess them Instagram follows they can play some football to see as unine Buffalos over the Rams.
Oh Joe, what did you like about what you saw today?
I enjoyed the offensive play from the offensive line. That's what I enjoyed. What they didn't have last week. Chardor getting the self hit running for his life. I think the lineman must have been upset about that.
They got. They got whatever.
They needed to get out of their system and came in this game, had a clean pocket for the majority of the game and was able to deliver the ball. That goddamn Travis Hounoh well he's something special.
Oh yeah, yeah, he got stacked that.
Boy, something special.
Not only was he dominant on the offensive side of the ball, had a pass breakup, had an interception, rather he ran the dig route for.
Yeah, he undercut. He undercut that.
So listen, they looked very good top to bottom and all three phases of the game, offense, defense, And I mean, I'm excited. I'm excited for them to take this momentum going into next week and continue and continue to build off this win.
I'm happy for Prian Man. I'm happy for him.
I'm most happy for the offensive defensive line. They had six sacks. He'll Green had two, Hayes had two and a half. Green the second had had a half a sack.
That's what that. You know, Bentley had a sack.
And you know what they brought U specialists, the SAP, SAP especially, we're getting to the quarterback QB killer. And it's not for lack of coaching, because I know they're being very well coached. Sack is telling, you know, getting them how to play edges because you're not playing down in the middle of a man. You're not gonna constantly bull rush the guy and get to the quarterback. It's gonna take you too long and all you're gonna do is make yourself tired. So he's getting them playing on edges. I thought they did a very good job I'm sure Time probably told them, lady, we got to do a better job against the run. Thirty one for a buck thirty one, which is four yards of care. You can live with that. But it really the run really didn't hurt him. Oho, I thought Colorado came out there with a purpose. They seemed very, very focused and talking the time. He's like, look, we good enough. The guys just didn't play well. They just didn't play well, he said. You know, I shoot you straight if it was anything else, they just didn't play well.
They can do it because I see them do it.
I see I watched him in practice and so but uh, and he said he expected it. He expected them to dominate CSU today. They dominated CSU today. They did, and said he that's what he told me when he called me the other day. He said he expected them to dominate because he was gonna jump on. He was gonna jump on with us Wednesday Thursday, he said. But I want to make sure, he said. He said, man, you know you know how they would be on me. So yeah, I gotta make sure I stay locked in. He said. But I'll circle I'll circle back with y'all. I'll get with you, I say, Hey, handle your beers, because you're right because you come on with us and things don't go your way on Saturday, they're gonna say the reason why you lost the game is that you came on by camp like we had some influence over So I say, bro, I totally get it. You ain't got to explain anything to me, but I appreciate I appreciate your support. And uh uh and even even even thinking about coming on. So congratulations time and to see you Buffalo's as they roll twenty eight to nine over the Colorado State Rams. They defeat their in state rival for the seventh straight time.
Go ahead on't yet who they play next?
Who Colorado got next?
Baylor and Baylor? Or they play and and and see you? They got Baylor at the see you that's what a game from Ojoe.
Huh. And that's that's what a like a like Baylor got RG three. Hell hold on, Baylor throw the ball all over the face.
So guess what you throw it? You open your quarterback to get hit in the back of his head.
Yeah right, yeah, Bay Baylor probably Bail ain't got no gangsters like that no more.
I mean they go to throw the ball. I mean, look, when you throw the ball, you're gonna have. Look, you're gonna be able to get a receiver. If you throw the ball a lot, you're gonna be able to get get some receiver because what receivers want to do with Joe catch the ball. You want to catch the ball. And if you get your quarterback, because a quarterback, you don't want to throw the ball. So I'm not saying you gonna get a five star quarterback, but you'll get you a good decent three, three and a half four star guy to go there and want to throw the ball, get an opportunity to play, and you'll get some guys that can catch it because they want to catch.
So I'm sure they got some athletes.
I haven't given a hole, haven't really studied them, but I'll take a look at him this week because I'm pretty sure that we're gonna be.
Uh, we're gonna talk about them next week.
So I'll give them, give them a look and look at some of their guys and see where they were and the returning guys that they had and what they did last year, and some of the guys that came coming out of high school, and see what they were their three four five stars. So yeah, well we'll see what's going on. Georgia survives and scared number one Georgia on the road in Kentucky.
They won the game thirteen twelve.
Mark Stuts had a chance o Jo fourth down the number one team in the country, down one.
With three minutes, keep punning, keep punning the football.
And hoping his defense will be able to hold Georgia foll down.
If it ain't fourth to twenty five, I'm going for it. Anything that's going for.
It, Listen.
It's something like that. You got to you gotta pull a Dan Campbell.
You got to pull a dam Campbell and let your players know, listen, I'm going for this against the number one.
Team in the country because I believe in y'all.
Yes, I believe in y'all.
Punt it on fourth and one when you're up one against the number one team in the country.
That's basically telling your players, you know what, I don't think y'all can get.
It done exactly, but I don't think.
Y'all get it done.
So I'm gonna take the safe route and just hope and cross my fingers that my defense does what they need to do on the following drive.
Yeah that that that make that makes no sense to me? O jo.
And then you got the ball back with nine seconds. What there you gonna do with that? Hope you will get a flutie?
You can you want to get that, go get that in the video game.
Let me ask you a question. Oh your hair is the thing though.
If you got that much confidence in your defense that they're gonna hold them, go for it right there, and have confidence in your defense that you're gonna.
Hold them right as well.
We're gonna punt the ball, try to pin you down, and then we're gonna use our time out. Okay, if you got that competence, go for it on fourth down. Believe in your defensive door to hold them and give you the ball back. It ain't that complicated. Sometimes they make it a lot more complicated than what it needs to be.
If you believe, Yeah, so I get it.
I get by the Kentucky fans with book Boy. We got the number one team in the country, a team that's only lost one game, lost one game in the last three years, won back to back national championship in Blue Florida State out last year sixty five to seven.
If we got up on the road. We got them dead to right, and you brought the ball.
Over overthinking, overthinking, not being aggressive.
Man.
But that's a no brainer right there, Oh Joe, Yeah, because look what you had the ball as.
It's a no brainer for you. It's a no brainer for some of the people in the chat. Now for the coach whose ass is tight in the situation like that, not wanting to make a mistake and hoping that it's deep.
Fans can do what they need to do.
If you pin them back and forcing to have to dry the field, maybe they might be able to stop.
But here's the name, Oh y'all, if you believe your defense is gonna stop them, why not go for it on four down?
Because because that's what they're saying.
They say, Look, if we going for it on four down, we believe our defense can stop them. If I got if I got you, If I'm going in and I go for it on fourth down and I don't set up for the field goal, I'm telling you that our defense is gonna stop you punt the ball if we still gonna have the ball in your territory. So in that situation, okay, defense, I got trust to you, first of all, I don't believe we're gonna need you, because I believe my offense is gonna be able to get this first down. But just for the if we don't, Hey, I'm count on y'all. I know y'all can get it back. I know y'all get us a three and I get this ball back. But overhead we go get it right back down the field. All we need is to feel goal to win. But I don't know why the hell he put that ball down down one.
I guess the number one team in the country, it's only lost.
One game in three years, and back to back national champions and they hold of them.
Think about how many four and five star recruits.
I mean, if they got eighty five players, they dressed out eighty five players.
Seventy five of them four and five stars.
Yeah, they probably got two walk homes to make it look nice. But he ain't no, ain't no one stars. It's three years, it's four it's four and five.
Yeah. I don't, I don't.
I don't even think coach will understand what that would do for the team, for the morale to be able to come off and pull off upset like that. Yeah, not only pull off upset, but actually go for it.
Now you know what that would do for them? Young bulls man on that team.
As yeah, well no, I don't know because he didn't go for it, so we'll never die.
Yeah.
Billy Napier was booed as you have University of Florida flaws to the agis Florida loft the text saying them in its first time starting Marcel reed by two touchdowns after Gator quarterback tossed three picks. Florida looked in on both sides of the ball and overmatch for the second time this season in the swamp, first one against Miami. Miami beat the breaks off and guess what that put the pressure on Billy Napier. This one could result in Napier getting I mean, I don't know what's going on with the what is that North Well mid that's in the mid that's in the h Yeah, with Gainsville in tallah.
Listen, I told you, I told you the best team in Northern Florida is fam If you put off the best team in Northern Florida, they better than Tallahad, I mean, they better than Florida State, They better than Fatos.
I mean that's that's just what it is.
And you know what I think it's if I'm not mistaken, Daniel Robinson. I think Daniel Robinson is a quarterback for FAM you. Matter of fact, he could probably come and play at F s U and at Florida and do a better job than what they have there right now, that's how good he is.
It.
If I might, I might have his name wrong.
If I do, I apologize, But Man Young Bullet, Young Buller's Night Man.
Young Florida and Florida State.
Yeah, I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I think unless until they get a quarterback which I thought Florida's they had, which I thought FSU had, I mean F s U, which I thought Florida had, it shouldn't be that difficult. Quarterbacks should be lining up one to play these Britit pretty prestigious. P W i's about p W I s is a p w.
I predominantly white institutions.
Yeah it is, yeah, Okay, okay, okay, it's only small percent of us that makes up there.
Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean they have quarter.
The white institutions. Yes, that's what p w I. Okay, what you thought for me. Yeah, you thought where you're gonna say.
D W I I don't.
I don't you know what. I don't even know what it meant.
I'm gonna be honest to you.
I'm HBCUs historically blacks p W I predominantly white institutions.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, I appreciate that history.
Lesson though, Let Joe check this out.
Napier is now ten and six at Florida Field, giving him more losses in the swamp in two plus season than Steve Spurrier, who was sixty eight and.
Five at home.
Urban May, who was thirty five to five in home had in their entire successful stints in games. Will if Florida word of fired Napier, Napier's buyout would be roughly twenty six million dollars.
Well, he finna get that buyout anyway. You're gonna get that buy out. Yeah, how long as you think he's how long thing they're gonna let it gone?
Oh, they let it go.
They're gonna this is the fans. The administration is not gonna let it go on too long. Somebody from high up. Matter of fact, the goddamn boosters.
Hell, they bought it. They have a lot of leverage. Oh yeah, yeah, they to get himup out of there. Yeah, they been to get him fast.
They put they bought a gymo for them, the eighty million that texts.
Bait and m Yeah, they don't play Texas, but Charlie Strong for damn near thirty million.
Yeah, hey, they got them. Got to cut them, write them.
Checks quick in a hurry until they get the results they want.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure the coach is who will stand in or be the what's the what's the correct terminology for the.
Coach that's the interim interim.
Yeah, I don't know who's gonna be the interim head coach. But for some reason, when the interim steps in, sometimes sometimes you get the results you want. Sometimes you don't. If you don't get him with the interim coach, that just let you know how bad your team is.
Yeah, how bad he really is.
You know what they always say, coaches get players fired.
Man, but guess what playing coaches fire.
Excuse me I'm saying it back.
But guess what.
Oh yo, all them players that's on that University of Florida te be in your bottom there?
Hm.
So if they not good enough. That's his fault, he recruiting them. Yeah, how you think they got there?
You know, I'm they're probably good though, them boys, probably good.
I can't tell right now, but they're not playing good. Yeah.
The results not showing up.
No, damn oh, mister napier.
Man Richard Smith Jeller all the time the Special Teams coach, he rerunning the film, he stopped to feel me and say, son, that that for right there, that's good enough to get you cut and me fired.
And that's a lose, lose every time. Man, don't tell you.
Man, Look, I wish I wish I could have myself phone recorded in the meeting room so you could hear it, like people can actually hear like what the coach is actually be saying.
And you're like, yeah, they don't want to hear that, don't they gonna they gonna look at coaches differently.
They would, they would coach is differently.
But they don't talk like that. Now.
I don't know if they's. Man, I've been fighting, You've been going to decade. I've been going to decades, so I don't know how to talk. But back then, yeah, yeah, you can't say. You cannot say because somebody gonna tell on the coaches ain't gonna get fired because you can't talk.
Boy.
Y'all know, y'all know how it was if you played football. You remember when you were younger, how the coach you would talk and what they would say and say all kinds of things that's deemed inappropriate insensitive. Now, given you know our situation, we understand that.
And we're good. Change is good. Change is good.
But I'm just saying, back then, there was no filter and coaches said things.
You knew exactly what he was, what he what he meant.
Yeah, but man, w we Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's a bad situation.
Oh, Joe, that's Florida, Florida.
Oh if this ain't gonna turn around in the hurry Florida state here Florida.
Oh, this coach is gone.
Oh you think they're gonna they're gonna fire Florida.
Yeah he Oh, Joe, do you know what he did? They had a game schedule, They moved the game so they can play that team. In twenty twenty nine, they paid Memphis one point two million to come.
They paid a basically one point eight me to get their ass kicked yeah, yeah, he o and three. That's two games he's lost at home. That's tough man.
Oh god, Oh the Memphis is a team.
Obviously you put in your schedule so you can beat Yeah, so you can be.
You paid, oh Joe.
Anytime you pay somebody that kind of money, like that's you're paying somebody's money. You're like, oh yeah, we got them. It's just like homecoming. If you own somebody's homecoming. They put you there for a reason.
What have you?
Thank you the homecoming? They got all these a lump not coming in this kids. I mean some students gonna come to the game. They ain't never came to the game. All the tail game is going on. They got you on there for a reason.
It's unfortunate, but yeah.
Oh yeah, they're about to get him up out of there. My grandpa used to say, boy, you can get You got two choices, get good or get gone. That the only two choices you got.
I don't And if you look at Florida, if you look at Florida schedule, if you look at Florida state schedule, I don't think.
It gets any easier for them. Well no, I don't think it gets any easier so you could.
Look at they still got Georgia.
Yeah, you can look at them going over oper.
I don't maybe not the whole season, unless they squeeze out a game and do something. Surprisingly, somebody could have a zero donut at the end of the season.
Say, might norveils by the sixty five million? I don't know.
That might that might keep him, but that might have to keep it. That might have to keep him another year. Because if you buy somebody, oh Jo, you buy somebody out, bring somebody else in, you have to pay them fifty billion.
Oh yeah, you got you got to double up.
Hell yeah, sixty.
Five sixty five might not fail? How much? How much did he make it? Oh?
I think he got a new deal after he was like he was about to go with uh. They thought he was gonna go to the the College Football Playoff last year.
So they was undefeated. So he got that d he got that deal. Yeah, right, so that's how you got it.
Yeah, he had a squad though last year. Well, he had a squad last year.
Yeah.
Arch Manning accounted for five touchdowns and the Longhorns fifty six seven win over utsat University of Texas San Antonio. Ojo filling in for an injured starter to Quinn Hewers. He was his betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, entering him this Weekends. Left Saturday this game with a strained oblique and did not return. Manning threw a touchdown on his first place from scrimmage, heading DeAndre Moore for a nineteen yard scoring strike to lead twenty one to nothing. Then he showed off something his uncles Eli Payton never had. Speed He raced for sixty seven yard touchdown, the longest touchdown by Texas quarterback since Bence young Man accounted for two touchdowns on the first three plays from scrimmage.
What you think, o, Joe, You like what you're talking?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, shere are It's gonna be nice.
Now are It's gonna be nice?
In the fact that he has a dynamic that neither neither Paid nor Eli had, you know, being a dual threat.
He got that from his grandpa because Archie can run.
Artie can run. No, no, he can really run. So so it missed them. And yeah, generation yeah.
Because sometimes you'll have twins, like you might have grandparents that are twins or you know, uncle and aunt, uncle and aunts and then it's skipping generation. So their kids they won't have any twins, but the kids, uh will have the twins. It's so probably they probably skill definitely, ain't no problem. It did because I love paying the day. I've been around Eli a little bit, but I know paid pretty well because he should go back a lot to Denver.
He still resides in Denver. They can't run.
They slow, Okay, ain't those you know try to be okay?
You know, no, they slow at hell.
When you're talking about your typical prototype style quarterback, Yeah that's there.
But you know what they do have pocket presidence and footwork.
Pocket presidents footwork, and they have a field for the game and they know it's something coming.
They have a good feel for the game.
Peyton is like Tom Cruise a minority report. He up there on that board. Yeah yeah, his ability to process information, his ability, that's this thing. I think it was was Tom Brady that joker kept every playbook.
You saw it. Yes, yeah, they created the same thing.
So because a lot of times defensive coordinators, they're going to become head coaches.
And guess what that style. So yeah, you was over here.
And and let's just say you was in the New England. You became and you know, okay, this is the style he likes to run or you you know, so, yeah, I get it. I get it through my I threw my playbook right back in the middle of that band after the you know what I'm saying, because you had to break up. You know, you bring your playbook to the stadium, bout Joe, so you're looking at it right before you know, you go out there on the field, like, okay, make sure everything okay, just okay, right, I'm hot on this right here.
Okay, they need to bring X, Y and Z blah blah blah and so forth.
Hey, but we're going before we go out on yo, put it into what put it in that band?
Hey, get a new one.
Same thing with the uh uh your playbook and training camp before you leave training camp last day, throw it in the band. We're good and you know back then, you know, Mike, Hell, you ain't get them checks. That playbook ant in there. You don't get that check. Oh you have this damn thing. I need my money, damn that playbook. Yeah, but he played the streaming the well on ya.
I don't know how long Quinn Eres are gonna's going to be out.
But uh uh Arch did what he was supposed to do, A five star recruit, highly recruited, highly thought after, probably anywhere in the country. Uh, he went there because of Sark. Sark does a great job of developing quarterbacks. You look at the quarterbacks that he developed at USC You look at the quarterbacks he developed at the University of Alabama.
Goes without saying, you know.
Tour Matt Jones, Bryce Young with I think Bryce Young might have a year up on of him even though he didn't start, because he came after Mac Jones. You look at what he did. I think Carson Palmer was that that lineage, Matt Ard, Matt bark Matt Barkley. So if you look at and he developed quarterback, well, you know how the Mannings are thinking. They're not just thinking collegiately, they're thinking next level. Who's gonna be the best guy to develop art and to make sure that when he comes when it comes time for the draft, he's ready, he developed and ready to play quarterback. And they felt Sark gave them that best opportunity in Sark resumes speak for itself. Hey, sorry, what's up man, great job. Let me try to think do I want, hey send me a Texas Jersey. Now I take a helmet Texas. Yeah, M, I don't know, no back, all.
Right, congratulations, our good job.
University of Texas fifty six seven win over University of Texas San Antonio. The Memphis Tigers kept Florida State Seminals winners oho FSU Bass even got even worse twenty to twelve victory in.
Front of an exact exasperated crowd.
The results snapped a nine game winners streak in the series for Memphis, which last defeated Florida State in nineteen seventy six.
That probably with a Bobby Browden probably first.
Year wait in seventy six.
Yeah, I think Bobby Biden got there probably like seventy four, seventy five, seventy six, might be his first.
Year seventy six, eighty six, six six.
Yeah, he was there like the late seventies. I'm holding coach bout get to Florida State.
Florida State quarterback is confidence is shot?
Right now?
DJ DJ something right? Yeah, I think it's confidence is shot. It's shot real bad. It's shot real bad.
O Joe. We're about about getting in Florida State seventy six. Yeah, like you did.
Okay, h.
Yeah, but Florida State ain't got them dogs that used to have no oh no.
You got to think back then, everyone stayed in the state of Florida. You had three you had three choices. You in Florida State or Florida.
You didn't want to go.
You didn't want to go anywhere else.
Because you think about what dad, man, they had Sammy Smith, they had time, they had uh Leroy butler Man, they had a boy, they had a Florida State Odell Odell. Yeah, yeah, some boys, man, but all all of yeah, all but all all the Florida schools used to they used to be loaded.
They used to be loaded, unbelie.
And then you know, guys started leaving. They started going to Alabama and Ohio State, and they started leaving in Georgia and they started.
You know under that table.
Now, yeah, they weren't just leaving just to be leaving.
There was there was n I L been going on for ye that's called n Yeah, they called a briefcase. It just so happens.
You go to school and every every four and five star like the same type of car. Everybody got a got a charger or a challenger. Sorry, don't nobody like, don't nobody like no part no shave lake. So everybody just like everybody just like hear me crazy?
How that worked? Yeah? But boy, Florida State, Florida State, Woh.
They gotta do something. They gotta do something. They gotta do something fast.
They scheduled. Don't get no easy either.
No. After starting the season off ranked number ten in the country, Florida State became the first team in the AP Pole history to start within the top ten and lose three consecutive games to unranked teams to begin the year. And if I'm not mistaken, The pole eraro started in nineteen thirty six.
Ass gotta look at it. She makes me sick. I just chat. I just want y'all to know ASH make me sick? Okay? Can I say that ASH make me sick?
Uh?
The Seminoles became also became the thirty team since nineteen eighty eight to open the season with a record of and three following the top ten ranked in the beginning.
Why you got your awn fold to dash? What? What so? What?
What?
What you mean up right? Oh? The pole earro started in nineteen thirty six. Oh, you was right. You was right. You had you was one point.
Yeah, I knew something. I knew something when she folded ar show. She's sitting on there like this.
Here. You know, you be knowing, you be knowing your stuff. Now you're telling your stuff. I give that
