NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport is joined by NFL Network anchor Mike Yam to talk about the latest headlines, including John Harbaugh getting an extension with the Ravens. Plus, Stefon Diggs has his first press conference as a Patriot; Browns superstar Myles Garrett talks about Cleveland drafting a quarterback; Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter and tight end Tyler Warren discuss their pre-draft process with Brian Baldinger; and Florida State defensive tackle Joshua Farmer joins the Insiders.

Coming upon Insider's the speculation on what the Falcons will do with Kirk Cousins is creating social media drama. Could a fast food restaurant unlock the answers to the quarterback's next destination? Speaking of not having answers, Aaron Rodgers his future in the NFL, it's still in question. We're not doing a darkness retreat, but one of our experts gets down to the bottom of what's he thinking, and Abdul Carter has moved quarterbacks to the grounds with ease. We'll slide past that quarterback conversation and talk to the Penn State star who could be the best player in this year's drafts, And with that we welcome you to Insiders. Mike yam Ian Rappaport. No, it's not Tom Pallisero, Michi or Judy Batista. I wouldn't go as far as to say that Tom has better hair than me, but Lord knows me and he's got more volume, So I will try to do my best here.

You have way better hair. Tom doesn't even have good hair. Oh, I mean, let's just be honest right.

To This is why I in I love working with you, thrill when I heard it was going to be me and you today. There is a times just be real exactly, there's a ton to get to take texting me in about two seconds, there's probably no doubt, and I'll probably get an angry text as well, and he'll probably show me how much product he's using to make sure that he gets that volume. A ton to get to for us, And certainly looking forward to your take on all of these stories that surrounds maybe the number one pick in this year's draft, cam Ward.

We watch them have a stellar pro day this week.

That momentum has carried into a private workout with the Titans, who owned the number one overall pick. You know, break this down for me, what do we need to know about Tennessee and they're thinking about potentially their new QB one.

But what the Tennessee Titans are doing is really going through a thorough evaluation process, not just trying to figure out is cam Ward the number one overall pick for them? But are they even gonna make the number one overall pick they have cam Ward today? Obviously they were very famously at his pro day a couple of days ago.

In fact, remember when.

Cam Ward threw a dime down the field, came over to Titans brass and basically said, I'm the guy for you. In other words, pick me at number one. Now they are just not there yet. They also, by the way, are going to do a private workout with Shador Sanders after his pro day, so that is going to be in a couple of weeks. And really what they want to find out are either of these guys worthy of number one.

If the answer is yes, then it is simple.

Likely take cam Ward, here's their franchise quarterback in the Tennessee who had a really tough year last year. Have a new general manager in a second year, a coach, and Brian Callahan can just move forward like that. If they do not believe that either players worthy of number one, then likely they would look to trade. And they are going to have several teams interested. The Giants would potentially be one, the Saints would potentially be one. The Titans have time, They're trying to do a thorough process and figure it out. I would say it's likely that they make the number one pick pick right now, but.

That is not for certain.

And by the way, more context on this story coming up, and just a big cam Wolfe was actually at that pro day. So more on cam Ward coming up here on Insiders. Not the only quarterback though that could be taken in the first round. In fact, Jackson Dart is now creating a little bit of buzz had his pro day. This is a guy who's had plenty of splash plays playing for Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss.

Three year starter through for over.

Ten thousand yards, seventy two touchdowns, ran for twelve more ian what's the general conversation been like when you hear Jackson Dart and NFL teams.

Well, first of all, let's get to the NFL teams, right, because obviously Jackson Dart put on a show today. There was a lot of wild plays in college. There's a lot of wild throws today. Sounded like overall extremely extremely positive for Jackson Dart.

But of note for me at least, was who was there?

Right?

I mean, because we all talked about which coaches at tend and you know, obviously so many high ranking officials were at cam Wards Frodie, but Kevin Stefanski, the Browns head coach, he was at Jackson Darts pro day. Shaye Tierney, the Giants quarterback coach, he also was there. Kellen Moore, the Saints head coach, all there for Jackson Dart doesn't seem right now, we'll see, doesn't seem like he's going to crack into the top two of quarterbacks, but certainly very much in the conversation for who the third quarterback is going to be. And you know, look, if you asked NFL personnel right now he said, where does he rank? I think a lot of people would say, you know, maybe second round. Usually if you're a quarterback and you got game, and Jackson Dart does, if your second round quarterback, you probably end up in the first round. We saw the same thing with bo Nicks last year, ended up going early one at a time when no one thought he would be able to. This is a guy in Jackson Duard who I would say this, It seems like him. If he is quarterback three, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's the first round. And then those teams I mentioned before, Kabili can trade back into one to come get it.

Yeah, it's wild. Last year and you made a reference to we saw bon Nix Goo twelfth.

Overall a historic run of those quarterbacks in that first round, with six going in those first full picks.

Probably not going to see that this year.

But to your point, if you need a quarterback, probably have to take Jackson guard at some point in the first round.

He's got that moxy too.

If you've seen a lot of he's on this game, it's not shy about talking out on that football field. Meanwhile, sure, Shadre Sanders and Camboard could be the first two qbs off the board. Now we talked earlier about cam Ward and that work out with the Titans. He's already met with the Browns as Shador Sanders will.

Do the same.

Cleveland's leader plays on the defensive side of Miles Garrett. He knows well they need someone.

Any team that's going to go far and needs as a quarterback and you know one that that's young can can learn. Is it's willing to uh you know, be patient with the process and uh you know he's not a deterred or discouraged early on. There's going to be some bumps in the road. It's gonna be some some learning pains, but no, no, US as a team as an organization has to be able to uh be a landing pad from you know, the fall back on and uh you know, being able to be on the defensive side and uh help him out whenever no things go wrong. That that's that's crucial. That's not for just for a young quarterback. That's for veterans and guys who've been here for for a while.

You say, veterans, I got one for you. So there's been a little buzz here on social media. Cleveland might have their eyes on another quarterback. Her cousin's seen at a Cleveland Chipotle. Now, Ian, I know you'll be able to tell us what it means from a football perspective, but let's get real here. There's another layer to this story. And our GMFB team revealed that when.

I hear double chick and I cringe because if I know Kirk, you got to know the hack at Chipotle on how to order twice the amount of me on. You never ever say I would like a bowl with double steak or burrito with double barbakoa. No, what you say is, sir, ma'am, I would like a steak burrito, and then they give you the full single.

Portion of steak, full spoonful.

Then just is there about to move it over to the next day?

You know, I say, you know what let's make it a double portion.

You will end up with more when you order double from the get go, something in their head says, all right, one of these doubles. I'm just gonna but they'll give you the full single word. And then, by the way, also works.

At the bar.

Ian your thoughts are you a double meat guy?

I would never order double meat out a Chipole. I like Chipotle, by the way, they do a great job, and I would never order double meat. Now talking at the bar order a double that actually can happen from time to time, the same rules do not apply. I really appreciate Kyle Brand's breakdown. And if anyone anyone knows how to gain the system at a place like Chipotle, it's Kyle brandt.

Well, let me get to the other topic here. I have a couple of years.

First of all, when Miles Garrett speaks, when Miles Garrett talks about the quarterback.

Position, that is meaningful, that is significant.

The reason I say that, of course, is Miles Garrett very famously ask the Browns to trade him Roll in the offseason, ended up coming back listening to the team's pitch. Listen to their explanation. Plus forty million dollars per year also helped. But listen to their explanation about how they're going to get back to being competitive. When he speaks about them drafting the young quarterback and being willing to let this quarterback clarent, this sounds like someone who's heard exactly that from Cleveland Brown's brass. That is why when Miles Garrett talks about them taking to quarterback a rookie quarterback, I would say this, I would listen, now, is it going to be at two? We don't know, is it going to be in the second round or betrayed up early? And if we don't know, but certainly does seem like that potentially could be the case. The Kirk Cousins factor here is fascinating as well, because the Browns had mentioned one of the teams that's maybe been interested in Kirk Cousins. But here's what I would say on kirk Cousins obviously has the huge contract. He has one hundred million dollars guaranteed by the Atlanta Falcons over a couple of years. I believe it's ninety fully over the first two years of his deal. The new team acquiring the contract is not going to pay that forget that number.

That's not important. The Falcons are ready on the hook for that. The question is.

If your new team acquiring Cousins and the Browns certainly would make sense, as would a couple other teams. What the facts are going to try to get you to do is take some of it. How much is it twenty million, is at ten?

Is it five?

How much the new team pays will obviously affect what draft pick they're willing to send the Falcons four Cousins. It's sort of a sliding scale. We don't even know right now if the Falcons end up trading him, but the actual money on the contract doesn't matter. Just how much is the new team willing to take on.

Glad you have another that context not only on your order, but also on the dollars and cents with regard to Kirk Cousins. Now we're having this conversation about what some of these teams at the top of the draft might be thinking, especially at quarterback. Turns out there's actually a defensive player who might be the best of the entire group.

Darn Underneath lost the football.

He got hit by a dual carter to the twenty six dual Carter, the defensive player of the Year of the Big Ten.

Nowhere to go.

Boy, look at up dual Carter lacerating that offensive front got pretty sacked on the way back to the series. Let's get a special.

Man look for this entire conversation about the Titans. And if it's cam Ward, maybe a quarterback Lance Zerline, who I work with on Mock Draft Live h going on his mock with the Titans taking a duel Carter going some defense. The point is, even if it's not the Titans, according to all of our experts, he's not going to have to wait all that long to hear his name called. Today was his Pro day and our guy Brian Baldinger was able to track him down.

I'll duel Carter Penn State Pro Day. It's here, it's coming, and it's here. You're not your support, your players out here and your friends and your teammates here today. But what's it been like for you? It's been dope just being there. I wish I was out here competing, That's what I want to do. But to be nirous for my brothers seem to make their money, getting their time, see the seeing everything they worked for, coming to fruition.

So it's been dope for me.

Well speaking times, I mean, I saw you with the stompotch like, I mean, you look like your scout out here timing your guys today.

Man, Now, anybody blow you away with her time?

Definitely? Jaalen Kimber. He probably was the start of the day right now, Kimaru or three twice. But I've seen him working in Texas. Ive seen all alongst everybody's seeing his results right now, but I've seen him working in Texas, So it's alidough for him.

What do people want to know about you?

Do?

Like you had these interviews here, They'm whining and dining you all these different teams.

What do they want to know?

Because when I turn the tape on, there's a kid that loves football, Like is that?

Honestly? All they should know how much you love it.

Everything else is important, like the off the field stuff like who I am as a person and things like that. But the end of the day, I just love football, love playing, love competing.

At the end of the day, what was it like here these three years for y'all? Do I mean?

This has been a very successful period here at Penn State for in the history of Penn State football. It's been a really nice period of time. Did it feel like Happy Valley to you?

Yeah?

I loved there.

Penn State was none but good to me.

Just my whole process here, just obviously on the field, my growth as a player. But the main thing I see is, like off the field, how I grew as a person, like as a teammates, as a person in the locker.

Room, Like my maturity.

I feel like I was a little bit selfish coming in and getting out of my system throughout my first three years here, having time for coach in so many ways where I was just mature as a man and as a player.

And as a player.

You came here as a linebacker, you wanted to be a linebacker, end up kind of going to the edge. But you really can play anywhere. Like wherever they put you, is that is that? Would you say You're it's positioned as football? Wherever they put up. Due, I'm here to make plays. I could play offense too.

I saw you throwing the ball. You need a little work on that. I can throw it, I can get it to where you. I can put it on the money, all right, So I know I'm listen. So I saw Chop Robinson here, last year's number one pick. He said, last year he ran a four to fury and he said, you're faster than him. So if you did run, I'll doing what kind of time might we have seen? Yeah, I will say on four to three and I would have put it on paper, but I didn't work out. But he say, he said I'm faster than him.

Yeah, okay, that's surprised you've done yet.

Now I'm surprised he admitted that. But I already kne I'm surprised he admitted that.

All right, I'm doing listen, congratulations, good luck to you. Uh, it's been a fun process for you, or how would you describe this?

It's definitely been a fun, been a grind, but it's all worth it. So living in my drem go live outside dream brother apprecire, all right, nice talking to you.

All right.

A lot to unpack there.

And by the way, Chopp was a freak azoid at the combine, so the fact that he's saying Duel Carter is faster than him is noteworthy. More from Baldy, by the way, coming up in just a bit, Tyler Warren, who might be the first tight end taken in this year's draft.

He goes one on one with him in just a moment.

But there's a reason why we don't have the official forty time from Abdul Carter coming off of an injury, didn't work out in his pro day. How does that affect, if at all, in his draft prospects.

First of all, Abdul Carter is going to go early, right you mentioned him with all the teams in the top five. I would be stunned if he fell out of the top five. Really, the question is, though, where does he go freak athlete? All this stuff about his feed that was all real, But there are going to be some questions for NFL teams, specifically about medical. We know that he dealt with his shoulder injury, showed a lot of toughness late in the season playing to a pretty significant shoulder injury that has taken some time to heal and was the reason that he originally was not sleated to work out of the Combine. Then he met with Combine medical officials, met with doctors and they discovered a little bit of a stress reaction. You'd call it a stress fracture, but it's not as significant as that on his foot so they pulled him back and they were discussing whether or not to have surgery.

My understanding was.

It was a very small spot, it was not causing him pain, so they opted not to have surgery. That said, they have a great player with a couple of medical questions who hasn't worked out.

Teams are going to have to do their homework.

And if you pick him in the top five, which again I expect him to be picked in the top five, there's always going to be a little bit of uncertainty.

There's nothing wrong here. He's going to be fine, but you'd like.

A sure thing, and as of right now, it's a small bit.

Less than that.

Okay, other news to get to. I saw this hit the inbox a little while ago. I look for all the conversation we have about quarterbacks in anyone when you got a good coach, you make sure that he's not going anywhere. Baltimore, they got one John Harbaugh, who gets an extension.

Yeah, big time extension, lucrative extension for John Harball. He gets a three year deal, was actually going into the last year of his deal, which you know, can create some drama, can create some discussion. Not like he's in any trouble. But I'm just saying, when you're going into the last year of your deal, there's always a talk. And so what they did was they ended a talk. They made him very richly paid, as he has already been. My understanding is the extent is actually extension is actually north of his brother Jim, which should be interesting conversation. He at various tables during holiday time. He is now locked in through twenty twenty eight. It's going to be interesting to see what when the Baltimore Ravens address the a status of general manager Eric Tacosta, also going into the last year of his deal. They have enjoyed an incredible six year run together. Would imagine that would be the next thing for Baltimore to tackle.

But a big day for the head coach today.

I wonder if John goes to the negotiating room and says, you know what, just one dollar more than Jim, Just one dollar more is all I need. Possibly, well, looks like he is going to get a little bit more. Not the only the coach that's getting an extension and getting paid. He might be the biggest attraction on all of college football, player or coach. And yes, I'm talking about Prime, who gets a five year, fifty four million dollar contract extension by CU. So he's not going anywhere in terms of staying with the Buffs. What's the fallout ian from an NFL perspective with for Prime?

If you say not going anywhere, and I would agree, it sounds like he's not going anywhere. Five year extension, massive deal ten point eight million dollars were the highest paid coaches in college football, and he is worth it. I mean, the popularity of Colorado football has gone through the stratosphere since coach Prime took over. And you know, his name was mentioned a little bit, I would say, by some people in conjunction with the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job this year. Obviously that went to Brian Schottenhammer. That was never a real thing, but it did sort of lead to some discussions about his new deal. But here's what I know. I know the NFL world, I know the gossip circles. Whoever drafts Shador Sanders, if that team ends up struggling, you're going to say, hey, what about coach Prime. Yes, I know he signed a five year deal, but it's not going to stop the discussion. I think the main thing for him, He gets paid his salary that he deserved. It's a very good day to be Dion Sanders. But this is not going to quiet any of this talk for next year. I'll just tell you that.

Yeah, and maybe a little less on the negative recruiting for some of the competition out there saying hey, Prime's out the door. I can help me say, hey, yeah, five year deal not going anywhere. Whether or not that's actually accurate or not, at least he can go and officially say that. Ian more from you in just a moment here on the insiders. But also need to update everyone on what's happening with this dude, because when he's healthy, it's fun. Dig's one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Drake may Well, his team just leveled up. Patriots sagree to a three year, sixty nine million dollar deal with the wide receiver.

I'm a head a schedule.

I'm trying to stay ahead of schedule. I've been pretty serious about, you know, the grind process as far as that we're rehabbing everything.

So shout out to doctor Reef.

I'm a head of schedule right now, trying to stay there at this point. John Org a little smart. You know, I'm a I'm a hard worker, so I try to like put a lot on my plate one time, but I'm trying to breathe it back a little bit. Just be a little bit more smarter. And what was your second question? Oh, I'm excited. I really look forward to it. It's crazy because when you ask around, he has a lot of similarities. Well people say through the Great Bonyax a lot like Josh and you know that was my guy. So I'll look forward to meaning and connected with him.

Oh, it's clear Drake May is going to have some better options in New England. But he's not the only second year player poised to make a jumb JJ McCarthy. We're expecting some elevated production. We'll explain that. And the latest on Aaron Rodgers a visit in Pittsburgh that's done, What does it mean? And where he plays? What we know is next on NFL Network back here on the Insiders. Oh, this made some buzz in the Big Apple. Russ is going to be cooking with Brian Daball a one year, ten and a half million dollar contracts. So let's consider what this quarterback room looks like. It's Russ, it's Jamis Winston who.

Just got a two year deal, and it's I'my.

De Vito, right is a brand new What are they thinking? Adam rank is back with us right now with the cutlets.

Man.

You know I'm a Giants fan, and yeah, I enjoyed my cutlets as well. All right, Adam, explain this to me. Russ in a Giants uniform. What are they thinking?

Yeah, one of the Giants thinking? You signed Jameis Winston.

Who are you?

Zach Morris all of a sudden asking two girls to prom and now you don't know which one you're gonna take. You're gonna go with Russell Wilson. But really, Adam more upset for Elik Neighbors. I thought, with Jameis Winston in there, we're going to see an opportunity for Elite Neighbors to get like two hundred targets, and he was gonna go out there and dominate the fantasy world. Instead we have Russell Wilson, who's gonna be out there ruining everything for everybody. I was, I was, honestly, Mike, I was. I was on the cusp of saying that Elik Neighbors should be the first wide receiver off the board. Now with Russell Wilson, I'm gonna I'm gonna dial it back in that I'm.

Not quite there yet.

I'm still very ambitious about in the Leak Neighbors this season. I would have liked it a lot more with Jameis Winston because Jamis loves to just focus in on one guy. Jamis would have thrown for about four thousand yards, three thousand of them going to the Lak Neighbors. Now, I don't know what the Giants are thinking, but it's not gonna be as fun.

I'll tell you that.

So rig you seem to think, and I can sort of tell creeping into your deranged little brain over there, that the Giants are not going to take a quarterback in the draft because they did, as you mentioned, as two girls to the promin Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.

So what are the Giants doing in the draft. Then you know what I think the Giants are thinking. They're gonna go with Astron genty because it's the only thing that makes sense for the.

New York Giants.

I mean, obviously, nobody will ever do an offseason hard knocks again because the Giants thinking was kind of exposed. They let Saquon Berkley not even go to not just go to the Philadelphia Eagles, go to the Philadelphia.

Eagles and win a Super Bowl.

So now they're gonna sit there and they're going to overreact, like anybody that's gone to Atlantic City. You thought you had a perfect system for blackjack, and then within twenty minutes you lost all your money. You're going back to the ATM trying to get it all back with one thing. This is what the Giants are gonna do. They're gonna go out there. They're gonna draft Ashton genty. Hope that everybody forgets that Sakuan Barkley won a Super Bowl last year, go replace that production with the younger guy.

I don't know, and I want to know what the.

GM sun thinks because last year that was the kid who was like, hey, draft draft Jade and Daniels and he was ignored, and yet I want him to go out there.

I'm sorry, Mike, I know this isn't I know this is bringing.

Up trauma for you, but I think Ashton gent would be They tried, they tried, Okay, they did try.

They did.

I'll tell you what hey, you know what, if they want to trade down to ten, let the Bears come up and take Ashton genty go. Then you could take Jackson Dart at number ten, although you know what, the Bears will maneuver around that and take out Dual Carter. Oh wait, no, I'm playing out too many scenarios. I'm sorry.

What am I thinking? There are a lot of scenarios.

And by the way, I and you gave one of those that the Giants might try to move up to grab one of these quarterbacks on the heck, if Abdul Carter gets taken in one of those first two picks, maybe the g men get one of those guys. Complete side note here, I thought it was always Kelly Kapowski. I don't remember a second ask to the prom for Zach Morris, So you and I can.

All the one the girl there was there was like didn't Tory go with him?

Like were that difference?

It's a weird season that.

Doesn't make like toy the girl the leather jacket shows up and the Kelly yeah, yeah.

Yeah, it's all about Kelly Kabowski. Just throwing that out there. From my childhood days. Stefan Diggs, we heard from him, Adam, he's now wearing a Patriots uniform. I feel like I'm gonna get trouble when I get home for making that come. Probably what are the Patriots thinking here?

One of the Patriots? You know what, Actually, I think the Patriots are on the right spot. I think they needed to go out there and get some veteran leadership, at least a veteran presence for Drake Mey. You got to go out You cannot sit there and rely on Kendrick Bourne to be your number one wide receiver. Hunter Henry great players, but still you need a bona fide number one wide receiver. And I still believe that Stefan Diggs could be that guy to Obviously, he suffered an acl pierre last year, I think it was Week eight against the Colts, goes out there, going through rehabit, doing all that stuff. But now he comes up into a pretty good situation. I think it's going to be great for Drake May last year, a guy who's kind of overlooked, you know, Jade Daniels obviously the rookie of the year. Kayleb Williams now has the rebuilt offensive line. Don't sleep on Drake may what he's going to be able to do with the New England Patriots. I think this is a great move by both the player and the team.

Let me take you in a little bit of a different direction here, do for us a favor, peer into the darkness and look into the future. For Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Obviously russ sins with the Giants, Rodgers options are dwindling. It seem like the Vikings are not focused on him right now. Where does it stand with Rogers and the Steelers.

This is a very interesting one because obviously I could see it making sense for both for the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers.

They need a quarterback, he needs a team.

However, I think for Aaron Rodgers, the better thing, the thing that he's probably trying to play, is the long game, because if there is something that Aaron Rodgers loves is skipping training camp and not being a part of it. If he sits out, he kind of puts himself into a position like Joe Flacco is in a couple of years ago, where he doesn't report a training camp, doesn't play in the first couple of weeks of the season, then all of a sudden, the Cleveland Browns need a quarterback. He rides to the rescue. And if there is something Aaron Rodgers loves more than missing training camp, it's being wanted, being a hero, beating into his god complex that somebody's gonna somebody's gonna come begging.

You know.

Aaron Rodgers is the same guy who that any time you give like an e bye too is got to hit maybe, I guess so people have to beg him to show, Oh you're not gonna go to Kelly's party? Why not please go? It's not the same. He is that person and everybody knows somebody.

Like how did we get here? How do we get here? Find out?

I'm bringing it full circle now. But I think that he's waiting, and I think there might be an opportunity that presents itself during the season. It feels like there always is, so for Aaron Rodgers, he might not need to take the first opportunity that comes his way. He might be able to wait it out and find something better later on.

He might still a thing. I don't know. I'm an old person though, which is fine.

I just wanted to double check and make sure, I mean warned a thing because I haven't gotten one in a while, so I'm.

Either that's friends particle or neither has rank.

Yeah, okay, so the two of us are in the seon.

I've never somebody had to describe what it is because I've never been invited.

To an maybrick.

Okay, well, look at the analogy. Still worked for you, Adam wore from you, and Ian coming up in just a bit. Cam Ward, well, you know he balled out this week at his pro day. He spoke to the Titans website about being the top pick and said, quote, I told them I'm solidifying it today. The quarterback might have done exactly that. As for where some of our mocks have Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, and Bucky Brooks all sitting at number one for QB one, potentially for the Tennessee Titans. For what it's worth, Lancerline has him going third overall, and if I'm not mistaken, I don't know which mocket was. It might have been Lance's last mock, Shador Sanders, he has going twenty ninth overall. So Lance might be looking at the quarterback position a little bit differently than the rest of our experts. Getting back to cam Ward Our Cam Wolfe was actually at his pro day, got a first hand seat to see some of those rows. Not to mention you talked to him after practice. So Cam lay the foundation for me for NFL teams that were there, and there's certainly some good personnel that we're watching some of these throws. What did that workout do for his stock?

Well, most of all, it checked another box that cam Ward's likely to be the number one overall picking this draft.

You alluded to it before. His confidence.

There was a moment in that pro day where he comes over to the Titans brass and says, I'm solidifying gets to day. That's the composure of the confidence he's shown throughout the cycle. He's been clear that he's the best quarterback in the draft, and as a Michael has going on, more and more teams have joined in that consensus that cam Ward is the best quarterback in this class.

And now the Titans have a decision.

Do you sit there and take him at number one, which seems to be the path they're going, or do you continue to listen to offers for teams like the New York Giants who were at that pro day, and I saw Joe Shane, their general manager, talking to the Titans general manager Mike Borganzi. Can they convince them with enough draft capital to do a trade or do they finally sit there and get their quarterback of the future. They had a private workout with cam Ward today. There's about five or six people and valled them told including their head coach Brian Callahan and their general manager, another impressive showing for cam Ward and that they've got more and more time with them. Sunday night before the Pro Day, they met with them at Carbone Arrest of them are down in South Florida and now they're doing another meeting here. It's just another checking of the box to convince themselves no matter what they get after, can they still feel comfortable taking cam Ward as their pick their quarterback.

Yeah.

The more we do some of our mock draft lives, the more you realize he's checking more and more boxes. And you watch the film, Got Some You got a tremendous arm talent, and I think it's subundantly obvious.

And when we talk about him potentially going to the.

Titans first overall, but cam when I think about the state of Florida and college football players, I think straight up athletes wide receiver, Elijah Badger.

What do I need to know about him?

Yeah, he's a guy that I've heard has been rising up in teams boards, a guy who you probably thought, maybe I can find him on Day three, maybe he sneaks into Day two.

And he's a guy we had his pro day earlier this week.

He's six two hundred pounds, runs a four to four to three, and he transferred to Florida after three years at Arizona State. Played with eleven quarterbacks throughout his tenure, but he showed scouts on that pro day that he can play inside at receiver, play outside receiver, and he can run essentially any route that you want to do.

I thought it was interesting hearing a little bit about him in the process.

He had dinner with the forty nine ers the night before his pro day, a team that has IUK, that has Ricky So, two guys he played with in college, and also have a need with Deebo Samuel no longer there.

He also privately met with the Saints.

So as you're looking a longer draft weekend, as we get into Friday, as you get into Saturday, keep an eye on Elijah Badger. He also was a kick returner, and as we think about the new kick return rules that go upon, he had a lot of success in Arizona State.

In that role, so that could help him on draft weekend.

A little bit of a speed sure as well. Cam, You're always the best man. I always appreciate your and fight insight and looking forward to having you back on with us on Insiders next week. Meanwhile, speaking of the NFL Draft and some really talented players that are available, well, Penn State's got a tight end named Tyler Warren who could be the first tight end taken in the NFL Draft. One hundred and four receptions this past year, second at FBS play and a Penn State single season school record. Did not participate in the drills at his pro day, But here's how it stacks up according to Bucky Brooks and those top five tight end prospects, not a huge surprise to see Tyler Warren at the top of that list. Brian Baldinger, we heard him earlier because he was hanging out with Abduel Carter at that pro day.

It turns out he found Warren too at.

Penn State Pro day with tight end Tyler Warren Tyler, what's it been like. I mean, you've been out here supporting all your teammates out here today. In fact, you didn't want to do any of this until they finished, which I think is super cool.

The teammate in you kind of comes out.

Yeah, I think, you know, just being back, you know, with this draft class and being around you know, the Penn State family in general has been awesome. You know, see him competing and just supporting him like you said, But yeah, it's just been really fun to be around the guys again and kind of have that team atmosphere.

There's one word that everybody keeps describing the team. All right, I'm throwing it at you, but they just said, he's just a straight dog, like on the football field.

Like, is that something that you just want to own? You want to be that dog? Yeah?

I feel like that's kind of the standard we have in the tight end room. And it starts with Tay Howe.

Right.

I got here as a as a freshman, and I had a little bit of it. My dad kind of raised me to be like that. But then that's the standard we expect when you played tight end at Penn State. So I was just carrying on that standard and now I know the guys below, Hi, we're gonna do the same.

You honored your five great you know icon and John Riggins wearing number forty four?

Right?

Are you gonna wear forty four in the next level here? Tell or is that what you would like to do? Yeah?

If that, if that opportunity is there, I would love to. But but yeah, we'll see.

Well, Rigo was a guy that just trucked people, and you were known to do that when some of your one hundred and four catchers this year. I mean, is your style gonna change when you go to the NFL?

Oh no, I mean I think obviously you get there, there's there's room to grow and everything you do, right, But I think kind of what got me to have this opportunity of stuff I did like that, So I'll definitely continue to do that and kind of be that type of player. But also there is always gonna be a room to grow.

I was told Tyler that your best friend at Penn State was Lufashan.

Him that, Yeah, I have a lot. It's hard to say. One b here's my roommate for you guys coming together. Yeah, we came in the same class.

That's that's my guy for sure.

The Jets are picking number seven, Yeah, I mean they might be in that tight end business. That wouldn't be a bad place to go.

Yeah, No, that'd be awesome. I know OLU loves it and they got a great organization you know, out there and in New York's that'd be fun.

I think you know one thing that would say about in Tyle.

Obviously you can't one hundred four balls you have position versatility, but I feel like you can be that true Why tight end the line up at the end next to or tackle and just take people.

Off the wall?

Yeah, I mean I think I think I try and be a multiple position tight end that does a little bit of everything. So I don't know if I'd be stuck at at one, you know, being the true ey, but I think that is something I can do along with you know, all the other stuff that is.

I'm the offense coordinator. I'm moving you all over the place. You're my chest, peace man, I got you matched up all.

Over, yes, sir?

All right, listen, congratulations.

All right, not the only pro day that we're going to be at besides Penn State. How about this bringing you the.

Best of the latest top prospects.

We're Boulder next Friday, April fourth, to hang with Stor Sanders and Travis Hunter. By the way, it's the Colorado Showcase two thirty on NFL Network and NFL Plus. All right, Baldy, we just heard from it's been on record talking about how deep this d line class is. Florida State d tackle Josh Farmer top fifty player with a unique story, and.

He joins us next. Nice seminal with Joshua Farmer. He's the top fifty player for me. Effort, relax, not for nothing.

Man.

If I see that dude coming at me at that speed making those noises, I am running off the field as fast as possible. He's been a nightmare for quarterbacks. And you heard DJ say the top fifty guy on his list, Florida State defensive tackle Josh Farmer is with us. Hey, I know you've been asked about the grunting and the noises running down doing that forty.

Just take me through it, Like, is that how you normally sound when you're on the field. Yeah.

Man, I go hard everything I do most of the time, so I was trying to go hard as possible right now.

Well, I do that a lot.

It was a good time for you, and I know it sort of went a little viral on social media, so you grab some attention, but you grabbed attention from what you've been able to do on the football field. Just take me through holistically macro view for the audience that hasn't been as blessed as you are physically to go through this draft process. What's it actually like?

Oh?

Man, I'm just blessed with the opportunity and just blessed to be here.

It's been great everything.

I could imagine.

I've been able to separate myself from the other guys very quickly and very often. I'm just blessed to be here. Man, It's everything I could imagine. Just put my head down and working and God did the rest. Man, it's been.

Great, Josh.

You know, I was down at ACC media Day last year, and I know there was so much hype around your squad ACC Champs two seasons ago, and I know this year didn't necessarily play out the way that you and your teammates had hoped for.

But those are football lessons.

What do you take away from the last two campaigns that prepares you for Sunday?

Ball.

Yeah, man, I just think it helped build my character.

Man, I've been at the top ACC Championship and I've been at the bottom. So I went through it all and I know how I feel. It's not a week I didn't think we were going to win. So just definitely just helped build my character.

Man.

Everything happened for a region, and I thank god I went through it because you know, I'm just I feel like I'm tougher than ever now.

You know, Josh, you have a little bit of a cheat code because you can lean on some guys that have gone through this process very recently that you had success with on the football field. A couple of your teammates first and second round guys in Verse and Fisk. What are those conversations like as there I'm sure helping you through this draft process.

Yes, sir, Yeah, both of them has been great helps, especially Fits. He just told me I'm ready and I'm built for it, and just keep the main thing the main thing, and be attentional with the small details because that's what it's going to separate me. So he said, I'm ready, and I think I'm ready and I'm ready to do it.

What do you want NFL teams to know about you because they can watch the film and see how productive you were. But you as a person, what's that message?

Are you getting a you know, a violent, a tough, relentless defensive topple that hasn't stratched the surface and every day to learn the right to be there in the NFL? And you know, you know, I'm just tough from physical and I'm violent, and I think I'm going to help them add great value to a defensive line room.

Josh, I know you talk about that violent play on the field, but I know some of the things that you do off and in a lot of respects a little bit of a giant Eddy bear as well.

Although maybe you don't want NFL teams to necessarily know that, But I think your story is so unique.

You you know, unfortunately lost your parents at a really young age. You're going to hear your name called in the NFL draft, and probably a lot earlier than most. What is that moment going to mean to you and your family?

Yeah? Man, it means a lot.

On what I've been through and what I've overcame, you know, it was very challenging, but it just makes me better, you know. It makes things better on the field when I go through something tough on the field and challenging.

I don't been through the worst, man. Well it could be worse than losing your parents at a young age.

So you know, you know, it's not just big for my family, but it's gonna be big for other kids man that's been through what I've been through, and other kids that think they can't make it. I'm here to tell them, you know, just keep God first, and keep working, and keep your head down and just take every opportunity you can and just take advantage of him.

Man.

So I'm just blessed to be here. I can't imagine no not having God in my life. I'm just truly blessed through.

You know, Josh once again an inspiring story, super productive as a player, but knowing the impact that you're having on your siblings as well, not to mention the community around you, Wishing nothing.

But the best of luck.

I once again a top fifty guy according to our draft expert and Daniel Jeremiah can't wait to see where you end up man and.

Have a great NFL career.

Yeah, so I appreciate you.

Sam Darnold, Yeah, he's gone Minnesota, though they got JJ McCarthy, who's drafted tenth overall.

Last year.

No General manager Quis saidofo Mensa saying of a second year quarterback being QB one for the franchise. Quote, that's the outcome we want, and that's the outcome we're headed towards.

Jeffrey Shdia is.

With us right now, and Jeffrey, it feels like when you talk about second year guys, it's sort of obvious right that we could point to JJ McCarthy as a dude who can break out because we didn't really see him, and you're number one, and he's going to get ample opportunity.

Sell me on this, dude. Well, I'll tell you, I know that Jason McCarthy's work.

He season didn't go the way he wanted to go, but I can tell you this team was very excited about direction, the direction he was going in before he got hurt, and Questiadolphi Menzel was saying that. Kevin O'Connell, the head coach, was saying that. And so even though he was knocked out of his first year, that year played out pretty well for him because he got to sit and watch and learn and they love, his leadership, his maturity. He was only twenty one years old when he got this. You know, he had to grow. Didn't do a lot of throwing into the football at Michigan. But I think he's going to break out because he's got.

A great head coach.

He's got Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, all those weapons, a great defense, the same thing Sam Donald had he will have in his offense. And you will see a pretty good player in Jays McCarthy this coming season as a result.

Yeah, it's kind of wild. Then, look, I get it, they're not the same player. But Sam Donald there was a lot of questions about what he could do when he got to Minnesota, and we're talking about a guy that was on the shortlist for one of the best players in the NFL and certainly was paid that way.

From the Seattle perspective.

Zever Worthy made so much noise and buzz because of that forty time at the Combine, had a really good rookie campaign. He's flashed on the field off the field with the way that his garage looks. I know you and I were talking about that in our commercial break that was posted on social media.

But why can this guy find another gear.

Or he's got the speed, he's got the ability, but with anything he's developed. And Andy Reid, the Chiefs head coach and Gerald manager bred beeach really liked the way he came along. They thought he was just going to be a speed guy when he showed up. But because of circumstances, was she Rice getting hurt, Hollywood Brown getting hurt. He had more opportunities to show what he could do in the full route tree, and by the end of the season he was their main target as far as wide receivers went, and in the last three meaningful games they played he had thirty targets, had a huge game against Buffalt in the playoffs, and even though they got blown out in the Super Bowl against Philadelphia, he was the only guy receiver making plays there. So, going into the year two where she Rice Mike probably gonna get suspended, Hollywood Brown's come being back with this guy, all say, if you're worthy, it's going to get a lot of targets and a lot of opportunities to keep making blaze.

Yeah, there's so many times just kind of watching him on the football field where that display was, that speed was on full display. I mean just vertically down the football field and you saw him home just sort of like lean back and heave it up and you're like, there's going.

To be overthrown, and it wasn't because he's that fast.

Jeffrey always good to get your context on everything that's happening around the NFL. We've been bouncing all around the country bringing you some of the best most talented players in those individual pro days. Well, guess what We're on Boulder next Friday, April fourth, to hang with Shendar Sanders and Travis Hunter. It's his NFL Showcase at two thirty Eastern, NFL Network and NFL Plus. Meanwhile, pafter the draft, Yeah, it's back. Are experts taking inside the film room to show you which prospects are rising to the top of the draft boards. It all starts Monday six Eastern NFL Network and streaming on NFL Plus. You know there's one dude in the offseason who doesn't miss a whole lot of work out. How about this one of the new editions of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh, DK, dude's just a physical specimen. I mean, what he's able to do is is truly remarkable. And the guy looks like kind of a Greek god when he's out on the football field. Now, a very different type of look is Desmond Watson on the bench. Now, he looks big here, and you see some of these numbers. I just want to highlight where it says weight four hundred and sixty four not a typo, not a typo that is very accurate. Give you some context on this Ian Makaia Becton plus one hundred pounds, Leonard Williams plus Savior Worthy together four hundred and sixty four pounds. I mean, this dude's an absolute monster. Like we're not the biggest dudes out there. Like that's multiple me and yous together like a whole lot. And the guy's got hops twenty five inch fir like it's just one.

I mean that's like watching him bench press is like, obviously it's a big, strong dude. That's not a surprise. This is the surprise. Watch this big man get up. I mean, I actually was surprised at the lack of reaction from those scouts.

There.

You see twenty plus inches on the vertical from this enormous dude who's still a really good athlete. How come everybody didn't lose their brains. Where is the reaction? This is a big deal, right

I'm with you, Ian, it's remarkable get up
