GMFB Tuesday Hour 1: Falcons SHOCK Eagles, Panthers bench Bryce Young, Best 0-2 team?

Published Sep 17, 2024, 3:24 PM

Hour One of the Good Morning Football Podcast begins with hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager and Akbar Gbajabiamila breaking down what went down between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. Then they discuss the decision by the Carolina Panthers to bench #1 overall pick Bryce Young - is this going to help Bryce Young? Later, they answer which 0-2 football team they trust most to dig themselves out of a hole?

Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

Good Monoball.

Hey everybody, this is Good Morning Football. Welcome inside our show. We are presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky as always Off bar Bunja Biamilla and I sit here in Los Angeles. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brant are holding it down in New York City. Sherry Burris Isaiah Standback joining us a little later on in the show. Tuesday Week two, Monday Night Football. Sometimes the slate starts off a little solid. Not last night, Kyle, last night it delivered in Philadelphia.

Let's go to Lincoln Financial.

Feel for the lead block.

The Falcons are in town Own one, coming off a really underwhelming loss.

To the Steelers.

Jalen Hurts they got this thing back on track with in Brazil, but they don't have a j Brown. He's gonna be out for a while. Eagles have a time out. Jalen Hurts is gonna throw deep. All you need is a field goal to take Elliott and Jesse Bates the third calls game a shocking win, a scut punch lost to Philadelphia.

The drop on third and three for.

Saquon looms huge and Kirk MFC wins on Monday Night Football in Philadelphia twenty to twenty one.

A great game.

Let's get after it first.

We got here from the winning quarterback, Kirk Cousins on changing the tail of the season.

It's so important to find ways to win. And that's how you put together a great season is you know, when you have these games it could go either way. You find a way to have it break your way. And that's the way this league is. And so when we can find those inches, it can really change the tail of the season. So we're gonna have more of those up ahead, and we're gonna have to keep uh, you know as a whole team finding ways to up to make the players was.

Just lost obviously this thing wrapped up.

Yeah, it definitely sucks.

Any loss sucks, but you know, the game come down to a few plays and hurts.

A little more when you're the one who's there you.

Make a mistake when that plays.

I wonder best add two, a teammate like Saquan has such a great game, and that just one class.

It's football, bro happens. It can't can't fall to a guy for making one mistake. I mean, it's other things that led to a loss, but you can't fault one guy and put one game, one thing on somebody's shoulders for the whole game.

It was reported that that Eagles locker room after the game was one of the quietest people have been a part of or observed. But Saquon Barkley stood up at his locker and spoke to the loss and the way that game ended. Saquon Barkley is going to join our show in just a little bit this hour here on Good Morning Football. You're gonna hear from the running back for the Eagles. It was an end in Philadelphia, Kyle. It was about a month ago that we saw the Kirk Cousins playlist come out around his birthday, and you had all his new teammates saying happy birthday, Kirko, what's up Kirk Coo, we love you and you and I had this conversation like, how well do they really know the guy? Well, it's been a month and it seems like everyone's gotten on the same page after a drive like that.

Yeah, and I think at the end of the game that we're saying I want to push you around, well I will well I will matchbox twenty. That's what they were doing at the end of the game. But let's just calm down for a little bit. We have a lot to unpack about the Eagles and what didn't happen. But I just want to make sure everybody understands Kirk Cousins at the end of the game was down six with no timeouts, right, and he's in Philadelphia, and it's celebrating Nick Foles, and it's celebrating Jason Kelce and the e and ESPN stood for Eagles last nights and Cousins always losing some primetime. He's terrible. You can't win Monday Nights. You can't do anything. You're just waiting for him to collapse. He was really bad week one. He was pretty bad for three and a half quarters Last Nights, and then something happen and it was an effortless, seamless, hot knife through butter winning touchdown drive for Kirk Cousins. That thing's over, that whole Monday night football thing. That's not just the last Night thing. If you're still counting that storyline, you're lazy, you're uninformed. He has won four of his last five Monday Night football games. Guys, including last nights. Since becoming a starter, kirk Cousins has six go ahead touchdown passes at the end of regulation are overtime. That's second most in the league. He gets it done, and he gets it done in an apparently unbelievably hostile atmosphere. I know it's really fun to make fun of him, do pop references and station wagons and chain restaurants, and I've done it myself and I love it. This was a big time money drive in the biggest of spots. And by the way, you go zero to two, you're probably screwed. They drafted your Replacementh's standing on the sideline. Everybody's already chirping about Michael Pennix Junior. They're not for one night, maybe for longer. Kirk Cousins said I got this, I'm gonna win this game, and he did. There's no jokes today, no nothing, just good football on a win for the.

Atlanta Falcons, the Kirk Cousins Atlanta Falcons Peter.

For as good as the Falcons field and as good as the Falcons fans probably feel this morning, I have to think that the Eagles and the Eagles fans.

Are the complete opposite.

What a horrendous loss for the Philadelphia Eagles. It is third and three, it is late. You're just marching down the field. They cannot stop you. It's Saquon, It's hurt. It's right down the field.

Third and three.

The other team has no timeouts with less than two minutes to go, and it was like a feather to Saquon. It was right there, and he drops it. Not only does he drop it force a to be fourth and three, he drops it and he stops the clock and gives time for the opposing team to march right down the field.

You see this play here.

He could not be more open, the past could not be right there, and it's just human error drops it. But then you start thinking, how many analytics guys are in the box, how many different people are telling Siriani and Kellen Moore.

Just run the ball, Just run the ball.

You kill the clock. They have no time left. We can kill this thing and then we take the field goal if we don't get it. An incomplete pass was the last thing they could have afforded right there. And it leads me to some situational football conversations around the Philadelphia Eagles. Everyone knows they lost a bunch of games at the end of last season. Do you remember how they lost these games? We had last night's win. Obviously, this is the final minute of the game, and you had this and Cousins till Drake London and that's the memory.

Oh okay, it's week two.

We could put guys, Is this a hangover problem?

Last year?

Week seventeen? There against the Arizona Cardinals. He throws this back. They were winning when this happened. Cardinals come right down the field.

James Connor knocks us in in the final drive after hurts through that interception with less than a minute.

We lead this game. They're winning again, thirty one to twenty eight.

With the twenty eight seconds left against the Seahawks. Seahawks get the ball back, and if you remember Seahawks beat them on Monday Night Football, then it was against the Jets earlier in the season. They had a lead with less than a minute left to go and they gave it away and the Jets came back and beat them. At some point you start wondering, is it a Hurts thing, Is it a Syriani thing?

Is it an Eagles thing?

Because they love to bark on that sideline and we love them for it, and they love to.

Do that that touch, push and knock you down and bully you do it.

And we know that Nick has a tendency of maybe mugging for the cameras a bit.

We know that they love that in Philly.

But when you are also known as a team that can't close the door and can't finish the job and loses at home time and time again after being up with less than a minute left, that's a question for the rest of the league to answer.

Say, are they the tough guys? Are they the bullies?

Are we so scared about that Jeff Stoutlin offensive line they end up throwing the ball on third and three as opposed to just lying on that run game. I hope they can recover and I hope they like that's last year's stuff. It was supposed to be fixed over the all season. That was a last year's mistakes that we saw last night.

I have a question.

It's interesting for all of us.

Peter just detailed the end and the third and three and the Saquon drop and all that.

Saque is scheduled.

To join us on the show this morning shortly.

Is it really gonna happen.

I just want to ask this aloud, Like he was booked on the show before the game.

He's here as part of an endorsement he's doing.

He probably didn't get to bed till probably one in the morning last night. It is now eight eleven Eastern time. Is he really going to come on shortly and talk about that game? Because there's ways to get out of that. It was a tough night. There was a tough play at the end. There's ways to say, well, we'll reschedule. I'm actually fascinated in real time to see if Saquon is going to come on and face the music in tough questions before we talk about you worked on Jim Rome Show for many years.

It would be guests booked like all the time. Does this happen that it's bail?

Yeah, they usually bail, okay, And honestly, the person they're working with or the company that's endorsment with, they get involved and they say, you know, we can do it another time.

Maybe. I just think it's interesting. Is he going to show up?

I don't judge him whatsoever.

You can show up.

I totally he played great last night.

I just right now in real time as you're watching with us, as the clock is ticking, Acbar and Jamie, I say, don't know if Saquon's going to show up or not.

I say, yes, I had an inner battle with myself. I don't even acknowledge the fact that he was going to come on the show, Like do I do it and set the tea for the hour of Good Morning Football? Or do I not say it and have it be this weird surprise? But then nobody knows he was supposed to be there, so I didn't know whether or not to commit to a Kyle. Now we have now we're openly doubting it at a time, which is just it's really more just the point of you know, we don't know curiosity. Now this is a narrative off what happened last night. You have what Peter is talking about with the Eagles and late game antics that go back to last season. But then you have Kirk Cousins, who people all the time like he can't finish games in prime time, especially well, Kirk Cousins definitely handled himself.

Yes he did.

And you know, I think it's about time we give Kirk Cousins his credit. Like I mean, Kirk Cousins got paid all that money. They brought him in for a reason. The dude can play. And I think when you think about when coaches bring a quarterback in or for whoever the quarterback is the first thing you know is that they want to know that you can handle certain situations. And one of the situations that's constantly being practiced in practice is the two minute drill. And boy did he execute an amazing two minute drill.

Here you can see he.

Starts it off that first throw to Kyle Pitts. That's imant because that sets the temple.

And then on this.

Bench route right here he finds Darnell Mooney. That is huge because he's keeping that momentum going. And then down he sees klod coverage here and he attacks one more time. He finds Darnell Mooney. This is huge this play right here, he goes out, gets another out route, has control of the clock, and then all of a sudden, on this last one he finds Drake London in the end zone. To me, like, you don't get any better than that. I know people were chirping and bringing the noise in about Pinnis. I'm not sure that Pennocks at this point in his career would have been able to handle that situation. It's very easy, especially with no timeouts, Like you get a minute thirty nine, you hand your ball off to the quarterback who you know can go down there and lead that drive, and he did an amazing job.

There are certain conversations we've had on this show that rattle around in my head often, and one of the Kyle brought it up last year, which is, in a situation exactly like that, Kyle, would you rather have Dak Prescott or Kirk Cousins with under two minutes to play, no timeout? Kirk Cousins went out and said, give me the ball. I would be the one to take care of it.

He did, And listen, Kirk has not looked like Kirk. We cannot go over this whole thing last night. He did not look really comfortable. He looked pretty stiff until it really really mattered. I mean, I'm not joking. He's played seven and a half quarters of very stiff, uncomfortable football for the Falcons. But in that moment, I can't script a better moments.

That whole thing.

If you're watching the game was supposed to be a celebration of the Eagles, and I'm talking about in the stadium, on the network everything, and it was like Kirk Cousins completely ruined the party. And he's been on the other side of that so many times. That was a massive win. If you know what Atlanta's got coming. They're already going right back in primetime next week against the Chiefs, So we're gonna do the Kirk Cousins in primetime thing again just for this night, though. A fantastic, fantastic drive and they got the win.

And I'd say it wasn't like Drake London Kyle Pitts all night.

Wasn't.

It wasn't even at the end they weren't even going to beach. It was Ray, Ray McLeod and Darnell Mooney and it was it was Tyler Aljier at many points like that was a really really bad loss for the Eagles and a really good win for that.

Big time players make big time plays, doing big time moments. Stets Kirk Cousins.

Time for Wake Up Call presented by Verizon eighteen starts into his NFL career, and last year's number one overall pick, Bryce Young is getting benched in favor of Andy Dalton. The decision came out yesterday just after our show finished on a Monday, made by Panthers head coach Dave Kanalis, and he has said now that Andy Dalton gives them, the Panthers their best chance to win this week against the Raiders and essentially moving forward. It has been really challenging to watch Bryce Young try to operate as a quarterback operate this offense. Defenses have been getting after him, chasing him all around the yard. Bryce Young only has won two games in his short career. But Peter some said this move was right on time. There's too late, a little premature, Peter, where do you land on this skill?

It's historic.

I asked our NFL research guys and gals to do some digging, and it took a while for the answer.

I said, has there.

Ever been a first overall pick who started Week one in his second season and was benched after Week two?

And the answer is no, Like it's never happened before. Here's my interpretation of it.

Talking to folks in Carolina two games in, this was obviously not the plan, but it was also not the plan to be completely non competitive in two games and to be blown out like this. This is entirely from what I'm told Dave Canalis's decision. This isn't from the owner, This isn't from the GM. This is from the owner. This is from the coach saying we should be better than this. We have better players on the field and this is just not working for anyone's sake. And lastly, like you go for this thing with Bright Young, maybe it's the best for him to take a step back and just watch for a bit, because you could be absolutely shattered. We've had enough quarterbacks in the history of the NFL who lose like this, who just can't dig out of it.

Look, there is a bright side on this.

There are some you know ho tales of Alex Smith was in a winning quarterback for six years and was rotating around with different offensiveders that finally found himself. Matthew Stafford couldn't win for years, finally found away and started winning as a first overall pick. It's not fair to the fans, it's not fair to the other players, and it's not fair to Bryce Young to keep trotting it out like it's been.

This is not the plan, obviously.

It's a horrific situation In Caroline after two games, they're hoping to remedy it and Andy Dalton could offer a steady hand and at least play some competitive football as Bryce Young gets better watching.

From afar, you know, it's interesting because, you know, I feel a different type of way about this. I feel like this has been unfair to the young player and Bryce Young. He had to go through Frank Reich and then they have an interim head coach. Then he gets a new head coach in Canalis, And to me, it's like, at what point do you start saying, hey, maybe this is an organizational thing where they continue to mess up on developing quarterbacks. Look at Sam Darnold, look at Baker Mayfield. These guys since they've left the Carolina Panthers forty six touchdowns, fourteen interception between the two, they're both starting off two to zero right now. In fact, they're playing some really good football. It's very easy to go, oh, yeah, we're just going to bench. And I get it, that's not Canal's guy. You didn't draft him in twenty twenty three. That's cool, But I'd say, like if Canal's is supposed to be the quarterback whisperer, like you know, he resurrected Genal Smith's career. He resurrected, so to speak, Baker mayfield career.

Why not be able to do the same thing.

And maybe it's taking him off the shelf to resurrect him and just kind of get him up to speed. But I hope for sure that this is not something that they just kind of throw him way to the side.

Yeah, listen, everybody, as you're going through your day today and scanning your phone.

Or whatever, do yourself a favorite.

Take thirty seconds and pull up some Bryce Young college highlights. Just watch it a little bit and watch how brilliant he is, Watch how good of a player he is.

Watch him just.

Jump off the screen.

I don't really think this era of Carolina Panthers football has the credibility here.

They just don't.

And I'm rooting for them, and I understand it's in a weird perverse way while they're doing this, but like, this is a disaster of your making. It's not just to mention all those the success of the quarterbacks that have had since they've left you. This is a team that was sitting on Christian McCaffrey. This is a team that had DJ Moore and they made a bunch of different moves, and they've all fallen completely flat on their face. They take this guy who started eighteen games with three different offenses, zero help, and the idea was to throw him at him Thielen, who I like, come on, like, this was really the situation that was gonna work. And I hate that take about you know this might be good for him, that's BS.

I think it's.

Humiliating for Bryce Young. I think he's got to be embarrassed and angry. I don't think that usually ends well. I think their will gets broken. Terrible, terrible era and I think a terrible, terrible recipe, And just look at what happens to the guys who leave Carolina. Dave Canalis has got the job to fix Bryce Young. There's a lot of guys they could have hired. He was chosen to fix him. After two weeks, he can so he benches him. I feel defensive about Bryce Young, and just watch how good of a player he is, and then watch what happened last week. I don't think it has everything to do with him. I think actually has most to do with his surroundings.

Yeah, most to do with him surroundings. I totally agree in developing him. Now, look, I will say it hasn't been good football for Bryce Young. Take a look at this film here that I was able to cut up here. This is against the Los Angeles Chargers. In this situation, he's getting pressure, but because his feet his foot is drifting. He's kind of drifting in that situation, he kind of loses his face. You know, obviously they lose on that situation. In this situation, here's third and seven, he has his eyes in the wrong spot. He's down looking at there's a better man to man coverage or excuse me, men of man where he can answer to the boundary.

But he doesn't. So he's getting nervous.

His eyes are wondering, and that's a bad situation for any quarterback to be. But you bring in like you were talking about. He brings in Dave Canalis. They have him. He's supposed to be the guy to get him right. And I've seen this and I'm gonna go back and Peter, you might appreciate this. I think certain coaches do well with certain players. I think that's an obvious statement. I go back to Aaron Cantman. Aaron Kntman was crushing it. Crushing it in Green Bay. He moves over to Don Caper's defense for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and we just saw his numbers plummet. So many people want to blame the players. All the players not good. Sometimes you get in the system where a coach just doesn't know how to coach you, and the player loses his confidence and he loses quote unquote his skill set. So I'm there supporting Bryce Young. I think he still has a lot of football left in him.

Look, the interesting thing with Bryce was when he first got there, they said, we're gonna surround him with all these quarterback gurus in minds. Josh McCown's going to be his quarterbacks coach, Frank Reich is going to be there. We're gonna have Andy Dalton as a veteran. We're going to have Staley in the room. We're gonna have all these different offensive quotes. And last year the narrative was there was too many voices, you know, too many different opinions.

There was too much on Bryce all right.

Well, then this year in the draft, they get a big they get a big wide receiver, and look get they get the running back in Brooks. They also in free agency, get all these offensive linemen, and it's like we got Canal. It's the quarterback. They're losing my fifty the first two weeks. So I'm not defending the decision. I think if I don't know what to make of it, it's horrible. Obviously it's not idea.

But I also think they can't lose my fifty again. They're lose my fifty points like this is like these are horrible games.

So you know, this is their way of saying we get it, like we're waere, like we know this isn't going to work, so let's try to check it up. But gosh, they're not giving up on Bryce Young yet. I don't think and if so, like I don't. I don't know what's the trade market for Bryce Young right now. I don't can't imagine a single team wants Bryce Young.

At the moment after a season in two games, well, unless you have a Cement Wall as an offensive line, I don't think you can put Bryce Young up with any team. I mean, right, and Kyle, I'm so glad you brought up the college era of Bryce Young, because that is the entire reason why the Panthers made the trade with the Chicago Bears to go get him. That his entire college career is the reason why he was even in that conversation for CJ. Stroud for which quarterback was going to go number one overall? Watching Bryce Young operate in college, not I am going away from the football. I am going as a man, as a sideline guy, as a leader of a team that had so much talent on it, as a quarter of a team coach by Nick Saban, one of the most intimidating and powerful personalities in football. Bryce Young held his own beyond that. And again, this is away from the skill set because there's been loads of examples of guys who had it in college and did it in the NFL from a skill set perspective, but from a leadership perspective. As a number one overall pick, there is a reason why the Panthers went with Bryce Young to have in their building. He is an impressive, smart, charismatic young man. He's a little on the quiet side, so he's not gonna yell at you. He's not going to jump off the sideline. But he is mature, he is grounded. He is impressive, and I hope this doesn't break him because he has been one of the most incredible young people I've ever been around that was able to command again a team that had a ton of talent on it on that Alabama squad. To have been coached up as hard as he was by Nick Saban, for this to happen to him, it's brutal. Again, I'm not trying to say it should or shouldn't have happened. Clearly something wasn't right with him. But as our old colleague Jason mccordy, uould say, he's number one overall pick, he'll get another chance or frankly three or four in the NFL if it doesn't happen with the Carolina Panthers.

I totally agree. This is to me organization will mess up. They've messed this young kid up in his opportunity, but he'll get another chance with.

A good coach.

We were really looking forward to the rest of the morning for a lot of reasons, because we love doing four hours of football TV, but also because Saquon Barkley was going to come on the show this hour, and we were shocked and Kyle, we were having this conversation in Peter Akwar, is he going to come on? Is he going to come. It was a commitment that he has with Applebee's or loving those commercials that Dan Campbell is on. Sego Barkley not going to be on the show this morning, but he will reschedule. He will reschedule, all right.

Yeah, And as far as I understand, and I understand it pretty well, not Saquon's choice is appearing on behalf of an endorsement, the person providing that endorsement or the company providing it saying maybe better.

Off due to another time.

So this was not Saquon saying cancel this, I don't want to do it, nothing like that. As far as I understand, he was ready to come on and they thought it might be best to do it another time, which we will do.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I mean, you're going to be in a real bad, you know mood, you know what I mean, you just lost, and then you're promoting the product, you know what I mean, that's not gonna come.

Off well, So I get it. It makes sense.

Starting in a hole on your season is never fun. There are nine teams that sit squarely at the bottom of the well right now. Nine teams with an zero to two record since nineteen ninety it's eleven and a half percent chance that you're going to make it if you start the season oh and two. And by make it, I mean to the playoffs. You've got teams like the Ravens, the Bengals, the Rams, the Jaguars, anybody at the table up bar also with you feel like you have faith in a team that is winless right now that you think will dig themselves out of set hole.

Well, I'm going to go with a team that has done this before. I'm going to go with the Cincinnati Bengals. I mean, they've done this. They have this history of starting off slow. I mean going back to twenty twenty. You know, in twenty twenty one they started off one in one. They ended up making to the playoffs. In twenty twenty two, oho and two made it to the playoffs. So I think this is something that they they traditionally do for whatever reason. But I will say though that you know they can be more efficient in the run game. This is something the area that we've seen them struggle a little bit more on this season.

They need to create more.

Opportunities Guseki Mike Koseki. I think they start to utilize him more, especially in that vertical you have Jamar Chase when t Higgins comes back. I think this to me allows them to get back into that rhythm that they were used to. They don't have Joe Mixon. That's the one area that just gives me a little bit of concern, you know, like, what are they going to do in that run game because you need that run game to be able to stretch that passing game.

Listen, you don't get out of other two holes. I think with players, think you do it with coaches. And I've said this over and over. I think the best coach in the NFL is Sean McVay. And I will go with the Rams and I know it's really tough, and they just got absolutely slaughtered by the Cardinals, and the offensive line is hurt, and Puka is hurt and Cooper Cupp is hurt, they'll find a way. I believe in that coach. I believe in that quarterback. If anybody has the makings to do this, it's a quarterback has seen everything.

A coach has seen everything. I know you hear all the percent every time, and we just started the second with him. I think Sean McVay is oblivious to those I just certainly think he is immune to those I think that highly of him.

And to play the schedule game.

If you want to fine San Francisco this week, bring it on. Devo's out, McCaffrey's out.

Week after that, they're playing the Bears.

The week after that, they're.

Playing Green Bay, likely again without Jordan Love.

Then they hit the buye. I think they can do it.

If I had to bet on anybody, I would bet on Sean McVay to do it.

That's my team, the Rams, Like you man, I don't know, I don't know.

I'm usually I'm usually big on on the Rams too.

I look at those injuries right now, those are real stuff.

Cooper Cup, Puku Nakula, Steve Avila, Like, I don't know if there's just some magic, but they got they got their butts too, hick.

If McVeigh it's hurt him, worried. Other than that, as long.

As he's here, I have face, and I think that's where I'm at. It's like, yeah, I don't know. If I could just say the Rams are fine, I.

Don't know if that goose is cooked already, you know, And I would never doubt McVeigh and Stafford. But when it's Covey and Stafford and you're looking around and you're saying, whoever, it's tough the Ravens say, well, the Ravens are you know they were the MVP, and you know they were. Raymond had two horrible losses, horrible losses. That lost to Kansas City was a tough one. The loss to the Raiders was as battle Law. It was worse than the Eagles last night. You can't give up ten point lead at home in the fourth quarter. So you start going down these teams of the O and two and you're like, well, the Bengals, the team that played the best that's O and two is the Tennessee Titans.

They've played the best. They lost that I lost that Chicago Bears game. Titans. Titans were up on that one seventeen nothing, seventeen to nothing, and they lost. Their defense played really well. And then the Jets they were they were in that game too, and they lost. And if there's not a couple of mental errors.

So, and this sounds crazy, you're talking about he's playing the best football of all these teams. The Tennessee Titans have the team I would go answer, Titans.

A brutal start for if you look at the top of that list, the Baltimore Ravens because they have to go to Dallas this weekend in a game that I believe we found out yesterday that Tom Brady is on once again. When we look at that list, can we see the list again? Okay, because there is a history lesson that I would like to take you all down here, Peter. There are three teams. Look at this list. There are three teams in since nineteen ninety that have started oh to two and I'm gonna go real lofty now, that have gone on to win the Super Bowl. It's the ninety three Cowboys, It's the two thousand and one Patriots, and it's the seven Giants. Peter, just go out on a limb and just a little synopsis maybe against the teams and why they did that and how they were able to accomplish it.

All right, ninety three Cowboys, Jamie happy to ask. EMMITTT. Smith held out the first two games. Emmett Smith was not in the lineup.

They had little Derek Lassiter taking carries instead.

They go to Emmett Smith. They get their team back, they go oh one Patriots.

Of course, the nine to eleven year, So goes down, Brady comes in, they catch heat, Brady goes on to.

Some miracle run. The seven Giants. They had a goal line. They lost to the Packers by about a million. Week one. Week two, they're in Washington and the season's on.

They had this goal line stand Week three. I'm sorry, also the Cowboys and Packers to start the season. Week three goal line stand in Washington. Antonio hears of all people, makes the stop Giants rally around that they go on their run. Some team needs to make some big winning game in the third game this week. And it might be the Ravens, it might be the it might be the Rams, might be the Bengals.
