Published Aug 10, 2024, 2:37 PM

Hour Two of the Good Morning Football Podcast begins with hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, and Akbar Gbajabiamila answering Throwdown Thursday questions - does Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown or Giants WR Malik Nabers have bigger expectations to fulfill? Is Snoop Dog or Flavor Flavor the better U.S. Olympic hype man? Later, Peter breaks down everything going on with the San Francisco 49ers and the Brandon Aiyuk situation.

Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

Good Morning Football.

Hey, everybody, this is Good Morning Football Live in Los Angeles. That's Aquar BUJB. Miller, Peter Frager, Kyle Brandt. I'm Jamie Rtle. You know, I'm kind of into this topic that we hit on last hour, which is the moshpit in Tennessee. It just keeps ringing in my head. Peter, is this something that feels too over the top to you? Or I need your honest table.

About the actual mosh pit during a football game. What I do know is that the fans have to submit videos. We're talking about this earlier in the show if you're just joining us. The Tennessee Titans have this announced. They're going to have a mosh pit in front of their concert stage, and it'll also be where they have stuff before the games, like.

The Jaguars pool the Titans, I have a mosh.

Pitch, and I'm very into it.

But I'm also very into seeing the audition tapes that have to submit to be given tickets to the mash pit and just how crazy these Titans fans will get.

So Tennessee Titans fans if you're up.

If you can send them to the team, great, If you want to send them to our producers, we'd also appreciate those.

Yeah, is the mosh pit is that like constantly, like throughout the whole game, Because if it is, I might be able to get down with that. I remember I was in Brasil and I want to go see Boca Junior and the Rossing Club soccer match and the entire time they're dancing and jumping and the like the whole game like that. That's an energy you can't So if it looks anything like that, I might be able to get down with that. I might be able to excuse the pit.

I just like I know he fair. After the show, we'll.

All right, no moshpit at the table, but we are going to play throw down Thursday.

Because it's that time.

Peter, We've been talking all week about the Lions and Giants and the point practices. So question, despite one of these options being a rookie, we're looking at wide receiver star power here and expectations that these two names have within the offenses through it on Thursday. Do you go I'm on Rossie Brown or you go Giants Rookie wide receiver Malik Neighbors. In terms of expectation, Peter, there was a really.

Cool list done by one of the NFL dot Com reporters, Dick Shook.

We like Niok. They put on his top.

Under twenty five football team and here's a list.

And if you look at those logos on.

The right, Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions, Lions.

There's so many Lions, whether.

It be jamir Amon Ra, whether it be Laporta, whether it be Penney, and there's other guys that haven't even scratched a surface, like I think Jamison Williams is gonna have a big season. So the expectations to me are obviously at the Lions in this thing. They are supposed to be the team. And I'm on Rossing Brown are supposed to take that leave. When you're on that show this summer and it's with DeVante Adams and George Kittle and made men like that, and you're in that conversation, I think, if we're to tell you a year ago, there's gonna be a show on Netflix and it's got Davonte Adams, it's got George Kittle, and it's got a Mon Rossa Amon Rossa Brown like, but yes, and if you look at the numbers he has done it, you're in y're out.

Last year he was an absolute beast. He was their go to guy.

And I think the Lions are legitimate super Bowl team.

This is what they are.

So to me, expectations are about December and January. Molik Neighbors had a couple of great practices. He's been an unbelievable sensation in Giants camp. I don't know if the Giants are talking December and January football, and I don't know if I put in the leak Neighbors up in that top five list going into a season like we are with a Monra.

Yeah.

To me, it's just different types of expectations. I think, you know, when you think about Neighbors, it's just this untapped potential. Right, he's high draft pick. He's coming in. Everybody's excited. But I think the expectation goes to of course, aman Ros Saint Brown.

I mean, with that.

Type of success, people are going to expect more and more, especially at this high level. When you put up those type of numbers. You talking about fifteen hundred yards, those are big numbers, and then you get the big money so everything is stacked up for him to win. Everything is stacked up for the Detroit line to repeat. So I look at this and I said, if there's anybody when we watched that, I was watching that receivers. I downloaded the whole series and just watched it all the way through, and I said, first off, I fell in love with the dude because I like his mentality. I like the fact that he's one of the most interesting people I've ever met. The dude speaks like a hundred languages, German and Guten, Magan, you know, and all this other kind of stuff, speaking German to his mom, speaking.

English to his dad.

He's just so interesting, and I think if anybody can handle this, he has an interesting backstory as well as father bodybuilder like this dude is built for it. He's built to harry because not everybody can't handle success. I'll never forget when I was a young young player in college, I remember running back telling me he says, don't be afraid of success, and I couldn't understand that, Like, why would anybody be afraid of success? Because with success comes the expectation, and some people don't want the expectations, so they bring down the bar, so no one ever expects anything of them. And with a Ross Saint Brown, I believe that he's going to continue to try to move the bar. He probably trying to push that number two thousand targ be like Calvin.

John now for real, like he wants to do it all exactly. He was messing around on Twitter a few weeks ago and I was talking about the Lions, and I was saying, Penney Sewell is my favorite Lion in years and years and years, and all the reaction to it from Lions fans was like, love Penna, but it's am on ra. Love love Hutchinson, but it's am on ra.

He.

I think he is the fan favorite in Detroit. All the stuff you're talking about. He embodies the city. Look he's out there fighting in practice like all of that stuff. I think he is. He has arrived as a superstar. You saw him at the draft, the Jared Goff chand like he is already there. I think that expectations on Neighbors are massive because we don't know if he's gonna mount to anything. Where he was drafted with three wide receivers taken in the top ten, he's going to be compared to Marvin Harrison. He's going to be compared to Dounze. Not to mention there was a whole reality show on HBO about them drafting him in which he was maybe flirting around with drafting some drafting some quarterbacks who they didn't draft. So now it's like, wow, man, Michael Pennis turned out to be a superstar and we could have had him. But Neighbors is money and we have them, and let's not He's going to be compared to Odell. Like all the expectations are there. Odell's rookie season was absolutely insane. So I'm on rod expectations to be one of the best streams in the league. Neighbors has got to be some sort of Saviorchise hard to do wide receiver position. I think it's Neighbors.

Yeah, one of those guys has a quarterback named Jared Goff and the other one is Daniel Jones. Let's not knock out Daniel Jones. Is the fact that we know what we get out of Jared Goff, and we know what he's paid, and we know what the Lions could do in terms of success within their division. So I go to Melik Neighbors at this as well. I think you are looking for him to write some of the Daniel Jones speedbumps that the Giants have experienced. And if he can't help, then all of a sudden it becomes a greater conversation.

About the offense.

So I go with the rookie with the New York Giants.

Yeah, there's a little insurance policy with that too. You know there's a bell out from lak neighbors. You can always go, oh, well it was Daniel Jones. Oh it was a rookie. So there there is that bell out. Insurance insurance.

Very good.

Next up, we have all been watching the Olympics. Snoop Dogg has been spreading some Cali vibes internationally, snooping around. They call it snooping around. He's been hanging with his old pal Martha Stewart. He's been with Kelly Clarkson.

He's great.

He's supporting Team USA, as is Flavorflaf. He's also been Oliver Paris, but he is more of a specific attention paid to the US women's water polo team. He is their number one fan.

He sponsors them.

He's been to every one of their games. So Snoop Dogg or Flavor Flave. Who's the better team USA hype man, Come on.

It's got to be It's gotta be Snoop Dogg.

I mean, like la guy, cool, laid back, He's got the universal pill. Like, who else do you know can do gangster rap? Who can chill with Martha Stewart, can play basketball football?

I mean, start his own football league.

I mean what's called I said, and ships me.

Yeah, there's nobody on the planet that has the universal appeal. Then then since Snoop Dogg, I mean he can do everything and anything. He's the most versatioles entertainer all the planet's a life for sure.

What are you do?

You know?

I think it was like during COVID it was in twenty twenty, and I'm flipping through and Nate Robinson the old basketball player boxing match with Jake Paul I remember, and Snoop.

Dogg the commentariat, and he was amazing, Like he came.

Out and he's kind of he's like, oh, like he's like one of us.

I just and I'm like, all due respect and the classically trained Theracuse New House play by play, you know, announcers.

And all that.

Like I'm like I enjoy that.

Sure enough, we get the Manning cast and that's like a not traditional broadcast, and now everyone's got an all cast. Dude Perfect is throwing footballs while talking about games on Amazon. Like the dude perfect Snoop doing that fight. I'm like, Snoop has a future in sports broadcast.

I never saw it going this way.

But watching him dance with Simone Biles when he's doing this in the crowd. Need to see Simone Biles on the floor dancing, like, what does she do? It's like, oh, she's talking to snoopid The crowd was great. Love him with Phelps, that's been great. But the Martha Stewart in the Equestrian that is what stole the show.

So I love Flavor flav big fan, love the Clock, love everything. I actually loved Flavor of Love on VH one. I was a fan.

You watched that.

Of course, I was a big fan of New York. She was my favorite.

Okay, I'm going to say that Snoop Dogg is the official mascot of the Olympics.

And I don't care if Snoop.

Dogg is ninety years old and it's the Olympics and twenty ninety six.

He better still be a part of that OBC broadcast.

Well, can you do me a favorite real quick? Can you just say flavor flave like favor.

I'm with it? Yes, what was the Brett Michael's version of flavor of That was the Rock of Love Bus Rock of Love made. It was those two shows together. Yeah, I'm a Snoop kid. One of my favorite concert moments. Every we're talking a lot about concerts because the Titans have a mosh pit Lollapalooza ninety seven. I'm in Wisconsin seeing Lallapalooza. When they used to tour all over it was corn, it was tool, and it was Snoop Doggie dog. Yeah, that comes out in a Brett Favre jersey in Wisconsin and the moment in the concert, I'm going to try to clean this up a little bit. A lot of people were throwing small items on stage for Snoop, like very small ones were halfway on fire, and you know, and then he picked one of them up and everyone's like, dude, do it because it's Snoop. Like it's like it's t boo back then. Yeah, it wasn't the nineties big time, but it was like, it was like seeing Jordan shoot a basketball stoop was gonna do that in front of you, and we're doing He's like, he's like, and he kept saying, you know, he's got that cool voice. I'm not going to do He's like, y'all, you're gonna make me get called called the police, like they're gonna come up and rescue in the middle of my concert. And then he said bleep it and he did it right there, like for like sixty seconds straight, and everybody lost their minds more than they did for Tool, more than in for Cormulated for anything. So it was an amazing moment. And yet, yeah boy, when he says that when Flavor place, I still get fired up. I still love the clock. There are two legends, for sure, But when he does either Flavor flav yell or the yeah boy yell, it's it's like a little parlor trick. But I go nuts every single time. If you said that to me before, like a high school football game, I'd run for two hundred yards. I love it.

That's it.

I'm going Flavor Flavor.

That was impeccable toe stepping you just did. I really appreciate that.

It was well done luck. Huh. You know what he was doing back in the time, he was doing Snoops upside your Head, remember that jam. He was doing that and everyone was rapping it with him. It was it's something we're all parents at the table.

Has anyone appreciated Snoop's children's album?

No, what's he got great?

He has a song called the Affirmation Song, and like he makes you feel great about yourself.

Like, we listen to it all the time in the car.

It's fantastic.

Snoop has he has a children's album and he has an original song. It's called the Affirmation Song and it's tremendous. We'll listen to it in the break, Okay. I appreciate flavor flave with supporting women's sports, supporting water polo. You know, I like the Olympics because it bubbles up to the surface figuratively speaking, the sports that maybe we don't pay attention to do the other three years out of the year, out of the whatever calendar. Snoop is supporting America at this point, and we appreciate him.

I'm a little concerned.

I don't want to be burned out on Snoop by the time the LA Olympics, rolled around, never burns.

Out, there's always more.

Yeah, yeah, Yeah, he's on every market to be unknown to man, and you still want more. He's he's there's there's like Mike Tyson, Snoop and Howard Stern, like people that could just that.

That America is just like always wanting more.

Yeah.

And then there's a four year break too, you know there's a four year break in Yeah, but time it comes back, it's just.

Yeah, would you put Aaron Rodgers on that list through twenty forty years old?

Easy?

Does America want more?

In riding? Easy? Interesting? Okay?

The book coming out appairently heard biography Ian O'Connor.

You better believe that Rogers not part of it. Rogers not author reading. I'm reading.

We're back and uh we've been talking a lot about that guy. Brendan Ayuk. Let's go to Peter go trying to fight the power. A type of power, you know what is it? Kenny Smith runs, I got too much stuff. Yeah, I'm a slow, heedy the jet. I got a cool gate. That's Brandon Ayuk. I'm a big fan of Brian and Ayuk. I think he had his best year as a pro last year and when Deebo Samuel went down with an injury. This guy led the forty nine ers offense. Brandan Ayuke wants to get paid and he should get paid. But there's a lot of other people involved. Let's go through some of the faces that are going to play a role and whether Brendon Ayuk plays for this team or somewhere else. Okay, let's see our first pair of gentlemen.

These guys.

Yeah, those guys matter.

These guys matter a lot. Let's go through both of them.

Kyle Shanahan drafted Brandon Ayuk and when he drafted him said he had him rated higher than any other wide receiver on his board. He was the guy that he wanted and he has been effusive of his praise of Brandon Nyuk as a player.

This guy was the general manager. If you go back to twenty twenty and you.

Watch the reaction in that COVID draft, Kyle Shanahan's got his kids, his wife Mandy in.

The room, and he's fist pumping.

He's so excited to get Brandon Ayuk.

John Lynch.

They show him in his house in his basement.

He's fits punking.

They're so happy they've got Brandon and Ayu.

They have been to four different NFC Championship games in the.

Last five years.

This guy and this guy love this guy, So why haven't we gotten the money?

Right?

Well, let's see who else is important in this decision.

This is Paragu Marte Okay.

Paragu is a guy that works with these guys for years. He is a president of the forty nine Ers CEOs title where he deals with a lot of the money.

And how we can negotiate stuff.

He is considered the best, if not one of the best salary cap operators and businessmen in the NFL.

Also plays a role.

With Leeds, the premier league team overseas. He is just as important as these guys in making the whole pie fit. But who oversees the entire pie? Who else do you need to know?

Well, that's the.

Owner, that's Jed Yorke.

He is ultimately going to be the final decision maker and say, yes, check this off. Yes I'll have one, two, three, four, four men who all love this guy and want to see him be in a forty nine ers uniform. But there are some outside reasons why that might not happen.

They didn't do it.

They they gotta pay this guy.

Okay, we love this kid.

It's Rock Party, who is still making a contract that is suited for a person who is drafted in the seventh round. Rock Perty is a quarterback in a year where quarterbacks got paid. Rock Perty's contract is up. At the end of the season, Rock Party can negotiate a new deal. There's only so much in the pie, right, who else do we have? Who else do we got? Well, this guy just got his, right, he just got his.

Who else do we have?

Who else do we got?

Well?

This guy just got his. Here it's too.

Much, Okay, Nick Bosa got his, George kill got a new deal recently, They've all got theirs at some point the pie, it's all eating, right, But then you look around the league and, oh, my gosh, do you know who that is?

Guys?

DJ Moore four year extension just this week for one hundred and ten million dollars, eighty two million dollars guaranteed.

This guy he got his and it was literally a few days ago.

Is DJ Moore not all the same or not in the same conversation as Brendan and you and Brendan and you cannot look at DJ Moore and say, I mean, he's good.

But like, look what we've done with me?

Who else do we have? Who else is in this conversation?

Oh? Over, that is?

That's Justin Jefferson, same draft class, more decorated player, has had obviously some more individual success.

Well not, you've drafted before him too. Brandon Ayuk was.

Drafted right after Jefferson.

So he was drafted I believe twenty first and Ayuk was about twenty five twenty six by the forty nine ers.

But here's the deal.

When you're looking at that number from DJ Moore and you're looking at a number for this guy right here, justin Jefferson, one hundred and forty million dollar contract extension. He's gonna make thirty five million dollars a year. Brandon Ayuk said, what about me?

What about me?

Who else do we have?

Then?

Okay, that's Tyreek? Okay, Tyrek's thirty. Tyreek is already on that other side for wide receivers.

Tyreek just signed another deal himself, restructured sixty five million dollars, guaranteed ninety million dollars total, thirty million dollars a year. Ayuka is like, guys, I'm not crazy here who.

Else do we have? Okay, that's Omar Khan.

Who's Omarkan?

Yeah, who's it?

Omarkan is the new general manager of the Pittsburgh Steelers, took over last year.

Omar Khan's been wheeling and dealing.

Omar Khan is here to say it's a different Steelers. We're not just gonna sit pretty and say this is our quarterback and we'll dropped another one where Omarkan went out and got Justin Fields.

Omar Khan went out and got Russell Wilson.

Omar Khan is a guy who wants to get on the phones and wants to make his impact.

Can this be the match?

Can he get in here? Can we do this? Who else do we have? That's Andrew Berry?

Oh, Andrew Berry to GM at the Cleveland Browns. He's looking at him and he's saying, wait, in the division, you are going to be the one to get No, no, no, no, no, We're still involved. We'll put a framework together. Those are the two teams that you're hearing about most Steelers and Browns. The Patriots apparently off now they're out, and Brandon actually has the ability to work with these teams and say whether he wants to go there or not. It's not a true no trade clause, but he has already said like if I'm not I don't want to go to the Patriots, I will not sign a new contract, or I won't be there. You have all these faces a face that's not up here. His agent, Ryan Williams, one of the best in the game, works for athletes. First the irony and the crazy part here. Ryan Williams are UK's agent, very close personal friends with John Lynch, which makes this all very complicated and at points in John Lynch's career was represented by the same agency as Brandon Aiyuk athletes first, very interesting of different dynamics here. It is a soap opera and as the world turns, we still have this one man in this same jersey. It all comes down to Brandon Ayuk and guess what for the time being, he's still a forty nine er and he hasn't been shopped anywhere.

You know what's crazy to me? First off, that was that was an amazing shot.

So much.

Studio you know this is this is amazing because you know, if it goes to win a Super Bowl. Now for the oldest team in the NFL, which is the San Francisco forty nine ers as of today, Like, why would they not try to sign one of their young players and they've got fifty two million dollars of cap space, Like I'm still trying to process all of.

That rock pretty he's coming. Yeah, every one of those dollars is a dollar that he won't want, and then that's going to be a different kind of negotiating.

So Peter Purtty might ask for sixty a year and whatever you want.

It's not crazy if he does, I know, especially if they have the success. It's really difficult to get all these guys paid as seems like one person was the odd man out and when you paid him and him, and then you've got Bosa on defense, and you know that Hufonga's coming up also, they're gonna pay him. I know that you're saying, well, what about him? We said it all week on the show. He is still a number two wide receiver on their team. As much as we love him. Yep, Debo is still.

The number one Peter painting with a broad brushstroke from Afar. It feels like the Steelers have more room in their pie to give money than the Browns do. Because of a Marie Cooper. No, how does the distribution of Caps.

Now have a Mariy Cooper and Jerry Judy like they've got two like former first round guys that are both on that team. The Browns, though, have been moving and shaking and they want to get over the hump. They can find a way salary cap wise, Yes, it looks like the Steelers of the team. That makes more sense, but hasn't happened yet.

Peter, let me close with this far upper right corner ownership. Typically, as fans, you think the owners get involved with the quarterback contract, the quarterback drafting. It is now eight eighth, it's August eighth. This is not a great look for the Niners. It's not a great thing they have going on. We need a resolution. So point does somebody say pay mcge him out of here now? And does that come from the boss man? We got to end this thing.

It's amazing because this is supposed to be their year. They got so close, they got to overtime, supposed to be their year. I don't think any of them anticipated it would be sitting here in August eighth. And it's not us hyping up the Niners saying, look at all the talent they have and look what they can do.

It's every time the Niners come up.

It's talking about their number two wide receiver, talking about this guy in his contract. It's fascinating Kyle, that guy over there on the top right, he lets these guys, yeah, make the decisions and lets them operate. But to your point, I think there has to be a deadline.

At some point.

We don't want to thse thing dragging on to the regular season.

Welcome back to Good Morning Football. Great shout out to all of the hard working people at NFL Network who support sending everyone out to training camp. Inside Training Camp ended yesterday. It's a long stretch of days where we send reporters places, talk to players, boots on the ground, if you will. It's very serious journalism. At times we can break the fourth wall and can get a little entertaining. So here's a look back at some of the later moments to Inside.

Welcome to the first day of Inside Training Camp Live.

You're an NFL Network.

Guys, let's start.

Oh he's doing it, I'm doing it. Shades I threw the shades on. You don't have return. Goodness, gracious, you're leaning me. Shraps are filling up the whole screen. Yeah yeah, I've been hitting the wages a little bit. You can handle puzzles, yes.

And I found out that if you go outside zone, then get vertical, then get inside for inside power, you can end up in the end zone. Jeez, it's not that hard. He's been on Finch line. You can figure this stuff out.

Oh my god, are you guy serious?

We get this on the horror movie right here. Everything is on tape. Bridget how long is.

Tuk?

A bite out of the donut then put it back like that.

That's not a fight.

I don't know what that thing that's a mouse. Mouse came in and packed that.

That don't like?

That's what we have some high level security footage.

Oh my goodness. That is our producer.

He went there, who bought the donuts?

Very troubling. I don't know if I could trust him a yet.

You know, my grandson Darya, he's here, you know he's here in can'ton Ohio.

But look at this guy. He's a natural. This is a legacy higher here. This is true. This is true nepotism. That's all you six.

Six, We're we're as seated on a chair and yet we're looking at up.

You guys see what we're saying?

We are?

Yeah, there we are.

Hey, guys, how about this baldy? Wait?

I left out?

I am left out. Put it on the record. I had a blond hair in high school. I ran Brandon Ayuk's agent. Ryan Williams is in attendance.

Here say something, Ryan, you can hear me.

That's what makes this so awkward. So I got to give you a Brandon Ayuk update, you know what.

And if there's anything wrong with what I'm saying, just feel free to interject.

This is where Eaton really starts to pile on the models.

Is this a private jet? Do you get?

You get frequent flyer miles from that little plane?

Hey, good to see you to the plane.

I'm sure you're checking a bag?

Oh no, checking a bag?

No no, no, no, oh my god.

I love Jane's co host so much meat Reggie White, the goodest boy.

And that's how Stacey Dale stays cool in between the breaks.

I'm gonna take them trade or the small family.

And if you're not checking a bag, are you washing your clothing?

Because I don't want to see you in the same raging.

Sure, I love you so much, Reggie.

You need to get my guy ridging some water. You want to work training camp.

You got to get yourself some fans right there.

Oh that's in my line as soon as you see it's sitting right there.

As you reminded, every day day you pag his bag.

Privatey are not great people. You know we could see what I mean means the second. That wouldn't mean the second's the first.

No, I know we points do I can't see who you're points to.

I don't know.

I don't know a gentleman. You do it, sir?

Good?

You wonder if we could act?

Yeah? Thank you.

You need to tell him to leave here? Who he was? He's fucking the shop we're talking about starting.

I expected more of a of a Joberman or a Rottweiler.

Not a very cute, many cold to doodle.

But how did he lift spirits?

He is the director of joy, not the dog.

The dog mentality is completely different, thought process.

Give whatever he wants the keys to the building on the franchise.

I like that dog, the director of joy.

Did you know that was coming in? I love that. It was good, It was great, It was really fun.

It was good. What's the mascot for the buccaneers? Who's that?

I don't know what his captain something. Garifa is making a good point, like the pirates are pretty much like terrible people.

We love him here in America.

I'm looking back like I I'm very happy. For one thing, when we were starting the show up here a couple of weeks ago, I thought long and hard, genuinely about doing like the Joe Burrow hare, like just screw it to the new gam and that's already steph story is so old than so passed. I would still have it right now, and I would have it for like six more months. I was gonna do that and just surprise you guys.

Thank god I didn't do.

He slipping fell on yours instead. Every time you tell.

That story, though, the length of time that you have that hair gets longer and longer. When you first you were like you have it for like three months, and now it's six months.

It was over in twenty minutes, not a story anymore. I imagine if I had done that anyway, Akbar, would you.

Like you know, for me, I'd probably have to say the fast hands that I had a chance to do with every defensive lineman has this like competitive thing who's faster, who has the quickest get off, and of course who hands are faster, And there's no real measurement for testing the handspeed. So when you get around another lineman, you got yo, you come on like you gotta get in on it. Let me see, let me see how quick your hands are. Right, It's kind of like doing a test drive. And I wanted to see if he was going to mess up, and he didn't. And immediately though, you just saw how competitive back Crosby got.

So I was really.

Appreciative that he would, you know, he would kind of engage with that and go, come on, let's go man. The other cool part about that before they didn't show this, Thank goodness, he would have embarrassed me.

As my father would say.

We had a coach and the coach that we had in commons strength coach aj he says. I asked him, I said, yo, so who was your favorite ninety eight? And he boy sounded like a politician. Boy he pivoted from that thing so quick and maxcow he just doesn't want to embarrass you.

Yeah, that's awesome.

I go back to our practice that Kyle and I went to Monday.

It was a.

Jets versus the Ones versus the Twoth but no fans, so it was kind of cool. We're in the boat now. We interviewed Solomon Thomas, Sauce Gardner, and Quincy Williams.

They were all great.

We didn't get any the offensive players, and they said, the offensive guys have meetings in the morning for your morning show. We'll give you the defensive guys. And they were fantastic. And that was a home run. But there was a little break and Kyle and I were like, let's go out and watch practice. Let's go take a pee, and we're minding our business. We go over to the sideline. We're standing there and with Eric Gelfan, who runs the pr for the Jets, and we're just very happy content. We had a great We're standing there in practice. All of a sudden a ball comes whizzy our way and it one hop skips and it hits us, hits Kyle right in the leg, and a moment.

Of truth was right there.

Looked out and it's Aaron Rodgers going like this, waving.

At us, yells us, what's up?

Boys?

Was okay, we would have love to have you show. Okay, great hey, Hey, And then there's this ball right here, and there was a moment. What do you do?

Do you underhand give it back to one of the assistants, do you run it over to the ball boy?

Do you maybe even run it onto the field and give it back?

Kyle and I've never been proud of you, maybe in all our years together as coyleagues for eight years. Kyle picks up this football, cocks it back and throws a forty yard dart. I'm talking as tight a spiral as I have seen in the NFL, this side of Josh Allen throws a forty yard dart.

You remember Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes.

A road like that?

Yeah, he throws it on ro and Rogers, who's at the midfield.

Kyle's of the silent.

There was a Kyle and Rogers at midfield has to lean, catches it so gracefully and gives one of these And I'm like, yeah, Kyle, and you just and I wouldn't have done it. I would have gotten to the assistant, wouldn't even tried it. Through the embarrassment. Ninety different professional football players are watching Kyle in that moment, and he threw a forty yard pass, tight spiral and that's what I'll never forget from training camp two thousand two.

Okay, So two questions, one one for you, one for you.

What do you got?

Did you get any video? Is there any footage?

Source?

Subject?

Actually, Cody, our producer who was amazing who you saw on that footage, came back face ashen. I'm like, we got itru on the footage over and he's like, we were focusing on Breeze Hall when that all went down.

I think it's probably a win that there isn't video, Peter, I'm not sure it was quite as impressive as you described.

I like it with all the big dishtail like.

Gonna say, let him paint the beautiful photo.

It's a great photo.

So I got to ask you, when you see all them dudes like in training camp, do you go like I need to show you what I got?

I think there was a bit of that, was there, a little.

Bit of that competitive juice inside of you?

No, the fact that it was Rogers and I'm gonna throw a ball to him. Far if you throw it and it's some wonky and nover en terrible wounded doc, you feel embarrassed or if I airman, I'm I feel embarrassed. It's like, you know, you're out there like shooting around with like Jordan and like you're gonna you have a twelve footer, Like can't you even catch rim? I switched it. I hit a shot and I'm off.

And Rogers the ball us. It wasn't like an airon Passau.

He was messing with. He saw us on the sideline.

He's like, what's up?

Boys and fires and you know it's Rogers to get throw anywhere?

Just skipped out us.

So like, what do you do?

Professional flirt?

I bet you. Aaron Rodgers wrote that one in his journal.

He wrote that one in his journal that I'll have what he's having. I love it. Thank you very much for saying that's it's fun.

Memory.

My memory was in was in Los Angeles because of this show and because of what we represent. Returning to a Los Angeles I got to sit down and meet for the very first time in my life, Jim Harbaugh. Now this was over a couple of weeks ago. He's had a interesting a couple of weeks, but so we talked a lot about just what he's got going on a wait listen I've been able to meet a few celebrities, and I'll call him a celebrity because he is who show up just like you want them to, Like they play the hits, Guy Fieri, Jack Black and Jim Harbough. They show up and like within ten seconds is talking about an enthusiasm I known to mankind and who's got a better than Like he plays the hits? He doesn't do that. Oh so off our new album that's our peace side. He plays what you want to hit and listen to that. We haven't even run the interview yet, Like he's he's a thousand miles an hour. He gets up afterwards. That's a fun interview.

It's fun interview.

I was like, thank you, Jim Harbough. That's really really cool. So I will be showing that from weeks to come when we get closer to the opener. But it was a thrill and the Chargers facility unbelievably amazing and the nice people too, So this show truly coast. It goes.

We got raiders, Chargers jets. I want to circle back just between you and two with the Giants practice. Okay, because we had some we had an editorial, you know, decision to make frankly and during the A Bloc which is the first top of the hour, and we welcome you on TV talk right now on GMFP, and we're showing practice right and Peter saying, keep the cameras pointed on practice, and I'm just going to talk over and Kyle saying, let's.

Talk about the Bears.

Let's talk about like Kyle wants to get off practice because so take us back inside this from just conceptually, you disagree with the talking over practice and how giddy was Peter trigger to talk over practice?

Well, Peter was really fired up. But there's a species of television that is not my favorite, which come on, we're going to go to raw unedited footage live live, and it's usually like stretching, stretching and then it's like maybe throwing the ball just standing there and we've done it before. This time was pretty good, but we've done it before where they're like, yeah, it's just quick, like twelve fourteen minutes just talk and we're gonna show Jaguars Camp live and it's just like, all right, this is what we want to do. They're just stretch lines and it's just vamp and talk and vamp and talk and it's not my style, but it's something we do. However, there's a special juice in this one.

There's amazing plights and yeah, payoff because the camera which we were basically playing director, I'm like, keep it on the Giants offense. We've already we're not watching the Detroit threes. Let's watch the Giants ones. And it seemed like it was waning down and I was like, no, no, no, keep it on neighbors, keep it on neighbors. Cameras there neighbors diving catch and the two seconds later it's fisticuffs, and like it was a good thing we had the cameras roling because it really added to the atmosphere of the show.

You Peter actually said, do you believe in miracles? Yes? And you hit neighbors. It was a live call of the same ilk it was al Michaels the Soviets they lost was amazing. We did it well.

We love training camp and we wholeheartedly appreciate preseason football. I think we're happy that these chapters are coming to an end so we can get to the regular season. Wait for Soill to come on our show. We preview tonight's game there's real football. We're fired up about it. It's right, four weeks away from the start of the season. Sounds like a good time. We're going to check in on the raining champs, see how they're looking for us.

Repeat that's right.
