Good Morning Football.
Welcome to Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. We are live in Los Angeles. I'm Sarah Walsh and for Jamie Earl alongside Kyle Brant Peter Schrager. By the way, you've made several references this morning to soft buttery hands from players.
Yeah have, though, but you have there been multiple roles.
So I just wanted to if people at home happened to get a glimpse of your hands today.
Yes, you had an experience this weekend for the first time.
Yesterday I went to a local nail salon and I got a manicure.
Fluman on that for his day.
Let's get w first time in my life. And this is navy blue and this is orange. And it's not only because the Bears had a win yesterday and have the longest wind streak at home in the NFL at eight games. After the show today, I meet Caleb Williams for the first time. I've never met him, I've never spoken to him, but I'm going to sit down with them for the network and for the media group. And this is a tribute to him. Caleb paints his nails famously, and so I'm.
Like, I'm gonna do it too. Some people don't like it.
Some people are heavily triggered by it.
I don't care, Sara.
They call this method, you know, like you interviewing.
So when you did Rogers, did you do in an ayahuasca trip the day before?
I was high off my ass the whole time. I wish it never ended. Peter, I did two weeks of Darkness.
It was eat.
Yes, I went to Egypt.
So you go to Egypt for Rogers and then you go to the nail salon and the strip mall for this.
Okay, I got tattoos my god children's names around them. I go all in perfect, like for Raging Bold the Narrow Box for like three years.
Right, this is me doing it right here, Caleb, I hope you appreciate.
And what Kyle found out is it's like if you've never gone into a Starbucks before, and you can't just say, oh, I just want a coffee, and then there's fifty questions.
He's like, oh, I want a manicure, and they're like.
There's a considerable language barrier that I was dealing with But they were asking me if I want gel? Yeah, and I said, like Joel manny dude, No, it's just I threw its hair salon and to me Jel's hair joke, and I said, no, no gel.
And they said they thought that I did.
Want gel, and I insisted, I did you get the jel?
I didn't get the jel.
Did you get the buff?
I got the buff?
Yes, and polish gel lasts longer, and so.
I don't want it to last longer. I don't even want to last the end of the show. There's people watching this.
Right now who are enraged that I needed my nails, like you want to.
Physically hurt me.
I don't care about you. You people are ignorant. I'm talking to you right now. If you think me doing this my nails, its fine. Can we get to the highlight.
Let's go to Ohio because we had the Bengals in awesome uniforms and they were controlling this game at this moment. Right here, Jamar Chase takes it seventy yards for a touchdown and the Bengals are up thirty eight. Twenty eight saved the season, the whole deal. And yet Burrow, who played awesome yesterday. He kind of has to know that this guy's not going away.
A great rivalry here this one.
I'm on fumble recovery, stiff Farm take it away and drifting out of bounce finds.
Isaiah Likely for the touchdown.
An all time playing for Lamar Jackson, his fourth touchdown of the game. Bengals have the ball.
Now, Burrow Marlon Humphrey with a big play.
Alan pam on lsu crime.
Marlin takes it and Burrow just like what the all right?
We do back and forth, back and forth. We now have an opportunity to tie the game.
And there's Justin Tucker who gets it in and Tucker hasn't had the best season, takes it to overtime.
Thirty eight, thirty eight. We go to overtime.
Ravens ball first, first and ten at the Bengals thirty nine. Lamar fumbles, the stab bubbles it again and now it's.
The Bengals football.
They take it nine yards of the Ravens thirty eight. The Bengals defense loving it, ensuing Bengals possession.
Evan McPherson when he came out at halftime of Super Bowl, people people are mad.
I wanted to see snow.
People were mad.
Now he needs to watch NB see it any minute, at any time.
He could see snow some quick on the jokes. This morning, what's up, La, It's about three in the morning. Here we get back here to this morning. Probably the game of the day, the most exciting game of the day.
Bring out Tucker Ravens. Started the season out zero and two. Guys, they're now three and two. Another clutch victory, this time on the road.
Burrow would finish with three hundred and ninety two yards.
And five touchdowns, but it wasn't enough, and a very excited Derrick Henry would speak after the game, and then a very disappointed Joe Burrow would as well take a list.
He was ready, no panic, he was ready, no waiver, let's go, let's get to it. I'm sure you can see it on the field. No nervous, no panic, let's get to it. I mean, guys were gas. But that's the fight. I mean, that's the work that we put in throughout the week to be ready for these moments.
We're not a championship level team right now.
We're not.
You know, I like to think that, you know, we'll come back and improve throughout the season to get to that point.
But right now we are not and.
We have to get better, all right, So Joe stayiny. Obviously, this is not where they want to be, This is not where they expected to be. Dereck Henry has been huge all season long, Lamar, and it was ridiculous yesterday, Peter, let's start with you on this same the.
Heart of a champion. Here we go.
These are the Ravens. This is what they do. Just when you want to write them off, they find a way.
This is another week of dramatic Ravens football. Last week, of course, Sunday night, they take care of business against the Bills. The week before, they've just got to hold on to the Cowboys.
But this is their third straight win.
And this is an AFC North rivalry that I don't think people realize that home is as deep as it is in recent years. Zach Taylor and John Harbaugh had a lot back and forth. At one point, the Ravens controlled things and just pile on points on the on the Bengals. Lamar would get hurt. The Bengals would control things, pile on points on the Ravens now Both teams in desperation mode and both quarterbacks healthy, playing awesome in this game, and Lamar gets the last bit. What I love about Lamar is that is that like it feels like it's all going so horribly wrong on these plays and then somehow he finds away and turns him into positives.
He never quits on these plays. I'm talking about this one here, this fumble, he's down on his knees. No he's not.
Then he fights off a player and then drifting out of bounds on one leg, hits Isaiah likely to keep the game alive.
They were down in this game.
They were down ten on the road in a hostile environment against a desperate team Gosh Ravens. They find a way such an impressive victory. And I know that's not what you want to see from Zach Orr's defense, and I know that's not necessarily how you want to win games, but they're important. And guess who's coming up this week? Do we want to talk about the game of the year.
Yeah, I don't know who it is.
It Jaden Daniels and the Commanders are coming to Baltimore Sunday, and I don't think anyone circle that. But you want to talk about Lamar and what he's doing, and then what Jayden, what he's doing. I cannot wait to see these two young quarterbacks play. And I'm over the top excited about how the Ravens won that game, because that's pulling out of victory on the road against a hated opponent in a game you're not supposed to win, and just sheer athleticism and heart and will and the heart of a champions.
What got them that victory.
Well, this last Friday morning, we were throwing a parade and I was saying over and over that the Thursday Night or Bucks Falcons was the clubhouse leader for a game of the year. I mean, it was unbelievable. It had a seventy two hour run.
This was the one.
This was NonStop NFL entertainment from start to finish.
Joe, let me get this straight.
Joe Burrow threw five touchdowns, Jamar Chase had one hundred and ninety three yards and they lost at home. That's an amazing that's the power of Lamars up ten. A couple times they were up double digits. The play with the double stiff arm in the throw. What I mean that's an all time play. Is that you can see it when it happens when Lamar's career is over, whenever it is, and you have your ninety.
Second video vignette. This is in it.
In fact is there's a lot of play against the Bengals in it. This was not the only one, but this is it. If Lamar goes to the Hall of Fame, this will be played as before he comes up to give his remarks in his jacket.
This play, it is stupid in six different ways.
The first way of dropping in the snap, no, the second wave, the first stiff arm, then the second stiff arm, then lingering over to the sideline. Oh he's gonna throw it away. Okay, he's not throwing it Away's extra throw at the end. So that's pretty stupid. That'll be intercepted. Nope, not even batted down touchdown it was. There could be like a short form doc on that play. And that was the power of Lamar. And for the love of god, how the hell did this team lose that game to the Raiders?
What was that game?
I know, the first one against Kansas City and the toe and everything. Whatever it happens. That Raiders game was so strange, But who cares? This team is on fire. Right now, Peter, like, can we tailgate for Commanders Ravens? Have I ever said that hand in my life?
Should we start this one pm kickoff the Battle of the DMV?
Let's go? I mean, this is what we're at.
I can't wait for this game and it's only Monday and I'm already talking about it.
Yeah. I mean, there's the Ravens.
You can't give up thirty points to Burrow and on the and losing by the way, We're done with the Bengals now, guys, I hate no, We're done.
You're one and four.
The quarterback is literally saying we're not a CHAMPIONI plobal team.
They're not even close to anything.
And it's almost weird with Burrow because we can track this thing by his hair and in the preseason it was just platinum and it's all fresh, and now it's just tiny little Mark McGrath tipsh It's like a president who ages. We have seen now how that thing has grown out and the team has just gone terribly. Joe Burrow really can't play better than did yesterday. One and four is irrelevant. The Jaguars just won one game. We're not talking about anybody who's one and four, So seyl Vie, we love you. See you next time. The Ravens matter. Bengals, I We'll see in training camp.
Sorry. The most painful thing about it too.
If you're them, if you're Joe Burrow, you throw five touchdowns. If you tell me Jamar Chase's almost two hundred yards and that's not good enough. I mean, I don't know what else you can do there, But the Ravens are rolling right now. We want to bring Ian Rappaport back into the conversation.
Ian.
After the Jets.
Lost to the Vikings, Aaron Rodgers told reporters that he is dealing with a low ankle sprain that he suffered in the third quarter of the game. Give us the latest on his injury.
That has now been confirmed officially a low ankle sprain for Aaron Rodgers. Robert Stylid just meeting with the reporters minutes ago and saying all indications, all the preliminary tests say.
That he is fine.
So he's got that extra ray to get ready for Monday night football should be out there and got them seeing it again.
That was an unbelievably scary hit.
You really felt like Rodgers was done for just like last year, but no good news there.
Rogers should be fine.
Meanwhile, his old teammate Aaron Jones, now the Vikings standout running back. He was knocked out of that game in London, same game obviously early with a hip injury was ruled out. It's going to have some tests in MRI today. Early indications though, according to coach Kevin O'Connell, is that it is a short term injury. The Vikings have a bye this week, so there is a real chance if the MRI confirms what everyone thinks, that Aaron Jones does not miss any time. Meanwhile, for the star receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, where she Rice, more information coming today and tomorrow. He is meeting with doctor Dan Cooper, one of the more respected knee surgeons in the country, also the Dallas.
Cowboys team doctor.
He is going to have a scope today with the goal of gaining information on what actually is going on with his knee. I think initially it was feared to be a serious song term injury.
That is still the field.
There's a small glimmer of hope could be maybe a little bit.
Better than that. Here.
The possibilities for Rashi Rice could be out four to six weeks if the knee is stable, could be out four months if it's PCL and LCL injuries. Could be out nine months if it is an ACL tear. All that information coming today and tomorrow.
Yeah, that's a really wide range there, and I'm sure Chiefs fans are hoping for option number one that.
You ted up.
Of course, the Chiefs are in action tonight on Monday Night football against the Saints, and thanks so much. Coming up, we've got some stellar Week five performances from around the league, honoring them with game balls. Who's going to take home a very prestigious GMFB honor.
Let's go here.
You got a good game ball?
Try tank? That's happy for today?
All right? The Niners lose again. The Niners have some problems.
They lost, very dramatic fashion note off it am about the ninerst's talk about the Cardinals one Cardinals one.
Kyler made a huge play.
I'm supposed to say, should we be worried about Kyle Shanahan a company?
And we probably should? But should we be.
Happy about the Arizona Cardinals?
Yes, definitely.
I see you in their Phoenix Scottsdale, Tucson.
Let's go.
Good Montall Packers Rams.
I was at this game. Guy, should I go?
I went?
Jordan, Jordan Love, he's scrambling, scrambling, It'll advise And it was like the place was electric to Rams.
Fans were like, we're gonna win this game. We're win this game.
And then the Packers found a way to fight back. Lafloor going up against his former colleague Sean McVay. His brother is the offensive coordinator of the Rams, Mike Littlore. A lot of green and yellow in that crowd celebrated on that one Rams and have a shot at the end. Stafford couldn't get it done.
Rams.
Look at that record one and four.
Doucker crapts on my radars and those guys gripping a small town with more cattle than people.
I love those those guys are great.
Twenty three thirteen, Look Khyler's gonna run it.
No sneaky little play.
For the Cardinals down ten in the fourth quarter.
Shanahan always wins when he has a lead like that.
What do you win today? Well, they're losing now twenty four to twenty three.
But buck perty.
Always makes us play.
Not today he's hit.
It's picked Kaiser, White Guys, Cardinals.
Wait, look at both of brah.
Car three hugs celebrations on the road, Very very happy for them. They get to two and three, Niners fall to two and three, and we go to the losing head coach, our guy the Shanman asked about flowing a lead. That's the second game where you've had a ten point lead and lost into both the division ribles.
What's the frustration levels in that room?
What's your frustration level not being able to finish out these games?
Extremely frustrated. I think we have thirteen points since seventeen another by no means should we be able to give that away? Always We'll come back to turnovers, in my opinion, there's other things you can do to overcome them. Talked about last night how we thought a key in this game would be turnovers, and that's exactly what the first half was. Gave us a huge advantage and then it flipped in the second half. And when you do that stuff to win.
Ky you brought it up the Niners have a lead, they never blow it right, which obviously leads to, of course that they're going to blow it. The stat is this entering the fourth quarter, if the Niners under Shanahan had a double digit lead. They were thirty eight and oh before yesterday. So again, the Niners are a good team. Did everyone expect them to not be in the position that they're in? Of course they're not. Of course you didn't expect that. So I guess what do you make of We're the Niners?
A giant asteris there? Does that include the postseason?
I don't know, because his whole rap is he can't close games late. And they point to the coach and say, how many big leads in the playoffs do you need before you can win one of these Super Bowl rings.
This is what's scary though, for them, because these are games they should be winning.
I go back two weeks ago, they're up twenty one seven in LA. Just complete one pass, get a first down to put this game on ice.
Rock Perdy throws this pass.
To Bell the second, your guy who struggled his entire career, and he just drops it. And then the Rams get the ball, they score, they get the punt return, they go do their thing, and they steal a win against them.
That happened two weeks ago.
Well, then you beat up on the Patriots last week that's understood.
This week, you're up again.
They didn't score in the second half.
They didn't score party first time in his career scoreless second half. They couldn't put a single point on the board. And we could talk about the Cardinals all week and we might. And that's great because I'm going Niners here, like we said before the season, and I got crushed for it by Niners fans like, the vibes just don't seem right, the vibes, and they're like, what does that mean. That's not expert analysis. Anyone on their couch can say the vibes. You're not there every day, you're not there any days, you don't work in Santa Clara, Like, you're not a beat reporter.
Straker, shut your mouth. You don't know what you're talking about.
The vibes don't seem right when the coach is openly feuding with the receiver Rayuk, and then there's stuff about the contract, and then these guys aren't showing up. There's injuries. Now you have this mystery McCaffrey injury and dragon they how are right now two and three and the vibes do not feel right again? Do I expect them to see them in January. Absolutely, Do I think they win the NFC West.
Yes.
The vibes right now, those two losses on the road in LA when you should win on the road, and then do it at home against the Cardinals when the game you should win, the vibes don't seem right.
That's what I would say, Shanahan.
And are you fighting over some shorts.
That I mean again, that's a little thing that we say and like a snippet and they're like, oh okay me he's like that went public, Like they don't need that out there, you know, And that's what happened.
I choose to use my time to talk about the Cardinals for it. I don't care. Maybe that's bad for the show or something like that. I don't know. These television optics.
Like one thing we're very proud of here is we try to talk about every team and in every game and especially won the game.
I'm talking about the Cardinals. Their vibes are really good. Their record is not good.
They got waxed by the Commanders, but get in line who hasn't and they come back and they.
Go off to go on the road. Oh great, you go to San Francisco, they're gonna lose that game. No, they're not. I don't even know. If we have Cardinals video, we might not even cut it. Just have bad Niners. Let's just where's the Kyler run. We'll do this a la cart No, we don't have Kyler run. Didn't happen? Did you see the Niners? That bad vibe? We have to talk about that.
I thought it's amazing what they did, the fact that Kyle Shannon never loses the regular season game up and no, they said, screw let's force the turnover. Let's have a really cool play in the red zone. Kyler Murray had a run where he was putting his hand up at the forty yard line going in and it's like it didn't even happen because he plays for the Cardinals.
Do you understand it was.
Like if my homes had done that, it would be front page too, Harry, go guys for highlights. Rewind that game ball here it is. He puts his hand up here because he knows he's gone. It's The Cardinals are the same deal. They are really tough. They don't quit. It was just like last year when they won four games. They never quit and they're alive. Here, So I'm gonna wrap up my comments because we've got other teams to talk about and bigger ratings are plumbing.
Kyle, I'll get us out. The Cardinals, I'll get us out.
Marvin Harrison Junior made a massive that's the biggest play of the game. We didn't even show it. It's a fourth down. Kyler throw this prayer for the rookie. He catches it. I like the Cardinals. I'm gonna continue to like the Cardinals. Yeah, it was a bad Niners loss. It was a really good cars when let's.
Get out, sure was let me go back, vibe change.
When Christo McCaffrey's back, Peter, when's he coming back?
I don't know.
You know he's not playing Thursday. When's he coming back? I don't know?
This is this weird Kaiser Soo's a injury, like no one knows they were going to Germany. It's left leg, it's right leg, it's both legs, and it's like it's offensive player of the year. We're supposed to know. Yeah, uh, there he is. He's clapping, I guess. But it's the best player in their team.
And how and how soon is he back to Christian McCaffrey when he does get back so again January, we'll see these guys.
They're not going to go seven and ten this year. They're gonna win enough games they'll be in the playoffs. I really do feel that way. But it's certainly not what we thought I was.
Going to be back in August when we were talking about is this team gonna go back to the Super Bowl? And who's going to beat the Niners in the NFC. It seems like a lot of teams can be the Niners in the NFC.
But did you see James Connor run the ball yesterday? Talk to me more, Mary Tonger, white always because you're white list. The Cardinals can run, baby.
I don't know what's going on with McCaffrey and what it's going to the Cardinals.
They won, and by Loa is sitting up for the third straight game. Tyler Huntley the Dolphins trying to snap a three game skid. Just over a minute left to Kobe Brissette hits his second round pick rookie Jalen Polk in the end zone for a touchdown. Patriots Robert Kraft they're celebrating, they're gonna win this thing all scoring plays are reviewed, take another look after further review.
Kolk obviously first foot.
Down, watched the second foot and as Kyle pointed out, it can hover h it can't touch down. It touches down. Calls reverse said nothing was good, including the way that call went for them, because it's coming back.
They still had a chance here.
Brissett to Hunter Henry short of the end zone, tackled in down. Patriots trying to get up, line up before time expires.
It's going, it's going. It has gone. Game over.
Patriots lose fifteen to ten. Mentioned the doubt Dolphins step that three game skid. The Patriots lose their third straight to the Dolphins.
All right, Peter, what do you got?
Brown's Commanders? Here comes a Cleveland coming to see Jayden Daniels, who's been arguably the best rookie ever to start an NFL career at the quarterback position. Led early in this game and they really never looked back. Some head scratching stuff with this quarterback. Third and fifteen Deshaun Watson struggled all day here, gets sacked. Commanders dominated from start to finish. It was a party in DC. Washington just rolls. They got the Ravens this weekend in what was an unexpected amazing game. Before the season, the schedule makers didn't know that.
Okay, talk about those uniforms.
Sure, bring those Broncos universe back full time.
Signed that guy who says that every time.
Guess what, that's Patrick, Sir Tam.
You see the best defensive back, see the best corner in the league.
Look Out beautiful. Those uniforms do look though.
They look great because they're a novelty and you bring them back and it triggers that sweep dopamine called nostalgia.
You don't keep them back.
Guys, it's a treat when they come back. Twenty seven to ten. Bronco's just rolling the Raiders. Broncos win, going away to get to look Out three and two.
Sarah Wolsh, All, right, well, there were so many stellar performances yesterday. It's never easy. But we're going to give out some game balls.
You first, can I have the football there?
Sat? I thought the football.
Peter appreciate it.
This one right here goes to Baltimore where Lamar Jackson gets my game ball. Lamar was incredible yesterday, and he was incredible.
When it mattered most.
Here's Burrow throwing for three ninety two and five touchdowns and Lamar was there for him. Throw for throw, Lamar Jackson three hundred and forty eight yards, four touchdown passes plays where he pulled miracle. This one is one of the plays of the year. A still front want Sam Hubbard, one of the best tacklers in the league. Then Jermaine Pratts tossing that of bounds and he still throws.
A touchdown into three guys.
Lamar Jackson was exquisite yesterday and especially late when it mattered. Fourth quarter and even after the fumble it overtime, they found a way got the ball to Derrick Henry.
And they did it.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have won three straight games. He's our MVP from a year ago and he's.
My game Ball winner for week number five.
If you nail it, Peter, like a Play of the Year award at Honors, that is that's gotta be nominated.
So far, I mean the po Jayden's passed against the Bengals on Monday night in the back of the end zone. That one might be the player there for me because of what it signified in the clutchess. But sure, athleticism Lamar yesterday, it was incredible.
It's got to be at least nominated. Sarah.
You Okay, so I don't have all these really happy stats to rattle off, but I'm giving the game Hall Well, yesterday.
The stats were happy. Trevor Lawrence.
I mean, did anybody need a win more than the Jataguar?
No, because they were winless.
But Trevor Lawrence in particular, it was his twenty fifth birthday yesterday, and you know what Trevor needed more than anything else, anything you could buy.
He needed a win.
Snapped a nine game winless skid for Trevor, but he did it nice fashion, a queer high three hundred and seventy one yards for Lawrence. It comes in a week where obviously pressure mounting. There were questions to Doug Peterson, who we love about.
You know, did they lose locker room?
The Jags was not an easy win by any means. The Colts storm back. They scored twenty four points in the fourth quarter. That's not Trevor's fault. Trevor had a really nice game. Happy birthday, Trevor. You get a game ball, you get in the win column. And maybe that sparks, little something for the Jaguars.
We've been ooing and eyeing about those Broncos throwbacks. What'd you make those Jaguars throwbacks?
You like that? I like them, But I'm with I'm with Peter. Everyone gets all excited because you haven't seen him because people do it in Tampa with the cream sickles. No, that's a that's an era. And and then we move on, Sarah.
What would you want for your twenty fifth birthday? Back in the day, do respect.
To respect, I'd say the same thing. I always always wanted a horse. I was like that was a little kid, I was the pony or a horse. Well, I say pony now still because it's I mean why I'm not going to quit now, you know. But since I was a little you know, I say pony, I still haven't gotten one.
Peter want a grand theft out of Vice City? Back when it's twenty five, you wanted a horse. I want to get my game ball and I want to get.
Your game ball producers, and we arrange this. You got me a horse, Let's bring out the.
Come on guys, come on, get up, all right, I got some.
Sugar cubes for you here. You go and Peter's got some apples? Here is she come?
You don't have deluge lamb When he in my head, when he goes hold.
On, I was like I did that to Jamie.
But first swifts hair was I got Tuesday in March Taylor Swifts here and sit wow, Like no, don't.
She started getting like nervous, Like what am I gonna say?
Bring them out?
You're gonna ride it around the set like like Wade Boggs at Yankee Stateium riding a horse. Remember that one of the great all time Yankees, Wayne Wayde Boggs.
In the outfield is riding it.
Unbelievable.
Guy goes into the Hall of Fame as a devil. Ray all right.
One of my favorite phrases to use is since the Merger. I love the phrase in what we do since the Merger? And my game ball goes to Green Bay Packers defensive back e Xader McKinney, who became the first player since the merger to join a new team and have an interception in the first five games, each one of them stats. All right, so guys, he's got five picks in five games, and it's not like week two he got three of them one one one one one.
Every game he has an interception.
So does that mean that Xavier McKinney is the greatest addition a defensive back of the team has ever made?
Better than Dion to the.
Niners, better than Dean to the Cowboys, better than Champ Bailey to the Broncos.
Is he the greatest ever?
Because he is their MVP on this team, Jordan Love has been working away through injury.
He is their MVP. You should have seen him yesterday. He had another time where he was going to pick six.
Another one he had a fumble recovery which you almost scoop and scored. He's all over the field, giving Stafford Fishes a Peter.
You were at the game. He's a star.
It's also so like refreshing because the Packers rarely break the bank on free agents and this is one where like they did. They went and they got him, and here's the highest paid safety in the league. Giants didn't want to pay him. He comes to Green Bay and immediate dividends and is the leader of their defense. And you are the captains see on the Giants jersey too. So I'd love to see it for him.
So and W we'en Now we're in that fun thing like we were with Deron Bland last year, like we're.
On Xavier mckinne interception watch. Can you do it? Six games in a row? Can you do it? Seven? Five picks and five games on a new team? Is insane? You got my game ball?
Hey, speaking of game balls, I brought this up earlier, but I'm not naive to think everyone watches every minute of the show. Mike McCarthy first game ball he's ever received after the game last night. Twenty four years coaching in the NFL, eighteen years as an NFL coach, he got his first game ball last night?
And why was it last night?
Like?
What was this? He grew up? He was a tol booth operator.
Family out there.
Oh, that's really cool.
I'm happy for him that the Cowboys had a really clutch one last night.
Is awesome, big game that we're not done giving out the accolades. Coming up next, Peter names his coach of the week.
Tell you what, it's a coordinator that is playing as coaching out in Denver that has not gotten a lot of pub We're gonna.
Give vance Joseph's flowers.
Let's sir, guy gave up seventy points in a game last year and now has the number one defense in the league.
Let's go Broncos. We're here, We're We're for you, and I.
Love the uniforms, guys, everybody does.
Bring them back. Good morning football.
Panthers, straighted DJ Moore.
You may remember, and they're twenty twenty one and number one overall pick. That would be Caleb Williams to the Bears. That's how we got here.
And then this is what happened.
Williams fakes the handoff, looks down, feel fine, said DJ Moore, into the end zone. You got a thirty four yard touchdown.
And the Bears tide the game. Then they take over.
After the Panthers turn it over, Williams again stands in the po delivers a.
Deep strike really pretty.
Yeah, it's a good one thirty yard touchdown.
You know.
Caleb said, this is what we envisioned as an offense and as a team, and they're seeing it come to fruish and Bears win thirty six ten. Kyle's got his nails.
Fans I do. And there's some great uniforms.
Harken back to MJD and Fred Taylor Peter, shout out somebody else from that era.
Oh, I like to go with my guy, Kenny mccartal or Jonny.
Smith for now BISSELLI and shout out to Brian Thomas Junior eighty five yard touchdown. Trevor Lawrence needs to win bad and he's looking at the flack man. Flaco is doing it all. I love this guy. This is such a fun era of Flacco's career. Jaguars logo still looks good. I think managed to win this game.
Come on, make this kick.
No one should have no wins at this point.
Look at the sea of teal the Jaguars win, They're off the snide.
Jeff Labaman in the defense of those teams.
Absolutely, Paulpau's Leslie, we love you.
Yeah. Every week I give out a Coach of the Week award.
It could be a head coach, it could be a special teams person, it could be an assistant on any level. And I am so excited to give vance Joseph Fiord, Yes, serve the week this week. The Denver Broncos defense is the best in the league, and they were rocking those orange Crush uniforms and they absolutely dominated the Raiders. They fell down ten to nothing in this game, and then the patser Tan picked six in the second quarter got things going. They had two interceptions against the Raiders. As a team, but looking at this unit the entire season, they are allowing fourteen points per game this season, that is second in the league.
They have nineteen.
Sacks, seventy five quarterback pressures, and forty one quarterback hits.
That is all top.
Three in the league entering Monday Night Football Tonight and Vance personally, the story is so cool. Was the head coach of the Broncos, got unceremoniously fired, got fired, worked elsewhere, gets offered a job with Sean Payton to be defensive coordinator, has no ego, say sure, I'll just be a defensive quarner. They give up seventeen a game to the Dolphins last year, it says, get rid of Vance, Joseph. They have since turned it around. They've been one of the most dominant units in the league. Vance Joseph. We love the focus, we love the way this team is performing, and we love the fact that your story tells you that you do not shut the door on a guy who's done his entire career. Vance Joseph is our coach of the week, and the Denver Broncos defense.
The unit you have to pay attention to.
Sherry Burris.
You are upstairs in that beautiful balcony.
I know you've got some news for USAAC.
You love our redemption story there.
And maybe another guy, Peter who could have received your honor for Coach the Year. Maybe looking at Giants special team coordinator there. And Michael Gobriel for dialing up a call for the win for the gmon Right, the Seahawks looking to tie the game up with just over a minute to play with mine backer Isaiah Simmons leaping over the line.
Watch this, Jason Myers.
That was a forty seven yeard field goal attempt that is not good, picked up by Bryce Ford Wheaton for the sixty yard touchdown, sealing the victory. Head coach Brian day Ball giving go Gobriel all the credit for this play Listen.
He showed me a few clips of and we held it too. You know, I kept asking for it during the game. I thought, you know, we probably had a chance at and Govi's like, I just want to set it up one more and one more and look, there's risk reward to it because if you get a penalty then it's a first down the for the offense. But I thought Gobi did a great job of just setting up the rush, called it at the perfect time, and then Isaiah's over there before the play practicing getoffs and what he's doing, so he was prepared to go. You know, we had Dexter in there well execute to play in a critical situation.
Happy Monday, g Man.
Yeah.
Chiefs defensive backs Trent McDuffie and Brian Cook recently visiting the Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City announcing a one million dollar donation to the charity.
Is part of the Chiefs Red.

Every week we do head scratchers on this show, and it's the.
Best moments of the week that you might not have seen that we had to bring back.
I'm going last night, there's a delay in the gate. It's raining there's light and I see a kindred spirit.
I love this guy.
Okay, this is.
A gentleman so committed to that beer under the poncho in the rain, so committed to that, you got to.
Get it out of here, get a lead partner.
Never mind that, go to the.
Guy so committed.
He finds a way that Alan Fani could retired number just yeah, looking him here, he just he needs it. I've been there, guy, I've been there. I feel you like I don't know his name. I want his name. I want to be friends with him, and I just kindred spirit.
Can I tell you I want that guy in a bud Light commercial, No doubt.
I love, I appreciate Shane Gillis. We want these guys.
Yeah, Shane Gillis is great and everything.
This is the real client base here. You're under a poncho. Wait, pulling it up. She's definitely doing nachos or something. But he's got to get the tilt of the beer so that the gravity can kick in.
I'm not kidding. I think his I think a tattoo says only God can judge me.
That's true.
I'm not kidding.
I think it's that is great. Best thing I thought it said Beechwood age.
No, no, it's unbelievable, tastes great, less billionis Yeah, I love this one.
You want to talk about focus on both sides here. This is Greg's arely warming up free game, like a forty seven yard field goal right in the middle of the kick line.
Here's my question.
Though he doesn't know the routine.
I mean, what if what if?
What if she steps in front of the box, like easy, you take someone's head off?
Come on, I mean, look the cheerleaders though that they don't. I don't break it.
He doesn't like both sides, the folks.
Who's in the right and the wrong on this?
That can't be well.
I don't know, but if you've ever been on the sidelines for a game, you know they have the little net there and I'm constantly like manderin and like in front, and then I'm like, oh my god, you do the flinch thing and you move. Nobody's flinching, nobody, not the kicker, not any of the Vikings cheerladers.
But this could have been.
You know what, those cheerleaders deserve a nice cold bud life, and you know what I'm saying, they really do. Yeah, yeah, Charlie Kohlar is the tight end for the Ravens. You know, Mark Andrews, you know isaa likely roll the video of Charlie. This guy had a huge day second year.
He's six six two sixty seven.
Here he is running down the middle of the field and stabbing you in the heart and fantasy and you have to have a sense of humor for that guy. You know what time it is after the game? Bring up the tweet, Bring up the tweet. I loved this quote. This is from Jeffrey back Athletic a sixty years touch. They got so focused on Andrews and likely they forgot about the fat white guy running down the scene. That awareness self deprecating on it, and you're totally right they did forget about it.
Peter, You're right.
I love it. Colar is my new favorite. I love it. That's good.
You know what he needs an call, buddy, Yes he died.
Pull it up, Pack Brye, Old.
Trapper and Apple take him the new Spuds.
