Good Morning Football.
Let's do it here.
On Good Morning Football, we are presented by old Trapper.
Beef Jerky live here in La.
It's Monday, October twenty First, that is Peter Schrager. This is Off Barbaja Biamilla. That is Kyle Brandt. My name is Jamie or at all. Welcome inside. Quite good day yesterday again our final set of London games. Kyle, you were here bright and early yesterday.
Yeah, got a full forty minutes of sleep on Saturday night. Talk some Jags Patriots, Babe, you.
Are working overtime.
I love it early.
I'm watching Kyle and the Kyle's doing forty five minutes of JAG's Patriots talk.
I gotta talk Jag secondary well, do I see you talks.
Thank you very much. Our promise to the people.
Every morning on Monday, every game, every highlight, and no.
Screaming at each other. No nice, dude, that's your jam. This is for you.
We have a.
Button that if we start to raise the octave, say no, no, take it down.
Yeah I scream, I just don't scream at you guys. I love you guys. Yeah, it's fun to like the people.
You're talking sports directional. But things happened last night. Sunday Night Football.
Supposed to be all quarterback controversy this but weirdly it went to the Jets side of things.
Well, let's go to the Western Pennsylvania side of yees with this game. It's the Jets, it's the Steelers at Sunday Night Football, and it's the lead blocking, good morning football, lead block, all right. Russe Wilson is getting the start, Aaron Rodgers is, of course two naturally incredible atmosphere, and there is Devonte Adams, now a Jet.
Early on it was okay, they kind of missed on the first one. Then they were a little short dunking.
And Duncan three catchers thirty yards in the first half.
Would there be more?
The Jets couldn't do anything in the second half, and Russ caught fire.
Thirty seven to fifteen blowouts. Blowouts.
Look at the Jets two and five record, and then stop looking at it. Look at the one below at Steelers five and two. Let's hear from the blower of this is Mike Tomlin and also a guy with a two and five team Aaron Rodgers. We just appreciative of the work that was done tonight to make to night what it was.
Hopefully has growth in this as we move forward, man, But it's good to get a win.
I've been loving with the messaging the Bricks brought to us, and we had three great speakers last night at the team meeting, and the energy seemed really good. But forever reason today it just kind of seemed a little flat and warm up. So may Sunda Night Football or NBC only show on TV. I lived for these games and I just don't quite understand why the energy was a little bit flat.
Okay, So Rerack.
The motivational speeches for the Jets team dinner didn't quite take because the Steelers had twenty two point victory, they had ten points. They finished at thirty seven. The Jets state put at fifteen thirty one unanswered.
Kyle, was a beautiful thing in Pittsburgh.
Yeah, I mean the energy was off because they haven't won a game in a month, and they pick and choos who they're gonna play and who they're gonna bring in. They don't feel like a real team. But let's do the service, guys. We have a brand new connection that we're gonna watch.
It was much hyped.
It was talked about all week and on Sunday night, here go the quarterback and the wide receiver connection.
Let's bring it out. The one that was really.
Yeah, give me Pickens and Russ, Give me Pickens and Russ. Oh yeah, George Pickens looked like a superstar last night. Every catch was this freak as circus catch And honestly, I really mean this. A few drives into the game, the Pittsburgh crowd was getting really restless and it didn't look like it was working at all.
It looked like bad Denver Russ.
And then it's like, I don't know, Peter, you just started throwing to like Jermaine Curse and Dug balld Away and Sydney Rice.
And he cooked. He absolutely cooked.
And if you weren't watching the game for some reason, there was this incredible thing where every time Rust did anything good or bad, it would immediately go to Justin Fields in the sideline. Like they showed him fifty times as many times as they showed Taylor Swift all of last year.
They showed Justin littlemore.
In the first quarter of last night, they were breaking the record on that and they should have and he was ready to go and in the red zone they gonna put him.
They'm gonnaut him in now after three and now no, And you know what.
I don't have a shot of how Mike Tomlin walked.
Into work today, but I have a feeling it. I like that that, mister McMahon like that.
Tom was like, hold on, why did I put Russell Wilson in? Because I'm believing Mike Tomlin and I know what I'm doing, and every person and every blah blah blah, what are you doing?
He's foreign too. I've seen a lot.
Of Justin Fields. You've seen a lot of Justin Fields. I knew what I had in russ I put him in. I was right, and you're not. Let's go on, we're five and two. Mike tom would have a day. He looks great today.
Yeah he did.
And there's that little YACHTI meme when he comes out, little YACHTI when he comes out and he did.
Oh you a stage? Oh yeah, that's him. That's on the stage.
That's on the stage.
I was at the at the festival that I went.
McMahon, there's another wrestling one that starts up like this, but I'm not gonna do that.
You can't not in the morning. You can't finish it.
No, but like Mike can finish it if he wants to this morning, he could Mike.
Sorry, you know for me.
You know when you were talking about Russell Wilson, I mean, you know the biggest difference between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields was that ability to take those shots down, especially at play action. I mean, the production that he had was amazing, but I thought the whole story was the growth of the story of Russell Wilson started off very slow.
Now he started getting boomed. They were going him.
But once he settled in, it was like, all right, I got the rhythm of this offense. I would just say to the fans over in Pittsburgh, give the man some grace. He hasn't played football since December of last year. I mean, so he had to. He didn't have no preseason. He didn't really get a chance to warm up into this offense. But because he's this veteran, he was able to warm himself up, get going. He found his guy pickings that play action I'm talking about.
It worked.
Wonder you heard Chris Collins worth talking throughout the game talking about that moon ball. I had never heard it called as a movie moon ball, but it was like the little tear drop, just kind of up and over and beautiful, and it was such a big difference in that production of offense. But also get credit to the run game. That run game was very, very strong, which helped.
Set up a lot of that passing.
I sat here at this table on September fifth.
Okay, what you say, and I confidently, perhaps brazenly, looked at the camera and said, the New York Jets will be the number one seed in the AFC and Aaron Rodgers will be the MVP of the league.
I was wrong.
That's not gonna happen, and it's not gonna happen because this is a team that seems to be a bunch of great names and yet freakish things seem to go wrong every single game.
If you didn't watch off Helmet.
Six bobbles pickings for fifty years, that doesn't happen against any other team.
Here's Pat Fryer move, who all sudden becomes Odell Beckham on a third and eight. No one did how about this interception? Here?
Are you serious that doesn't happen against anyone but the Jets. And then, of course, after not cutting him and after saying we're gonna give him another shot here because I don't know why. After missing a chippy last week and missing.
Against the Denver, greg Zerline.
Gets another kick block because the one that earlier was.
Blocked was actually overturned, so.
We had to do it again so he could he has Supreme Court justice.
Gregs are like he can fire unassailable. Yeah, like lifetime job. No matter what lifetime job, Greg's.
Are lying is forever the kicker the Jets, who we've got great, it must be awesome.
They have tenure.
Yes, if you know anything with the NFL, it' said. Kickers are giving a chance time and time and time again.
Well, Greg's are line apparently does.
I'll tell you this.
The Jets were up in this game fifteen to six, fifteen to six. They lost thirty seven to fifteen, and then Rogers has I'm not going to say that.
Gall Everybody says like.
We were flat in pregame. We're flat, like bro like they fired the coach to get a spark. We brought in Davante Adams to get a spark. We just this morning have news that Hassan Reddick is coming to get a spark.
I don't know what to say.
I can't give up on them because I'm too deep into And they play the Patriots this week and the Texans on a short week at home, and like we could wake up in ten days and then they're four and five and they're still alive. But things go wrong for the Jets that don't go wrong for other teams, and at some point it's not a coincidence. At some point, it's just what it is, and that the ball bounce a certain way, and it's because those other teams come in more prepared and maybe more cohesive.
I don't want to make any excuses for them, but I mean, they did have a lot of injuries they all, you know, especially on the defensive side, and then during the game they had viies on offense and defense and tough.
But you have that quarterback and you have that wide receiver who you got this week, and to Peter's point, you made those types of changes in order to fix this thing.
Peter, New York.
Could have had a day yesterday, the Liberty One, the NBA title.
The Yankees are going to the World Series. The Jets just ruined it.
They took a bucket of water and they put the fire out.
Come on how your friends feel on these days?
I will get DeVante adams biggest play was a tackle on an undrafted rookie defensive back. That that was how we play a big This team has beaten the Patriots and the Titans.
That's it. Those are their two wins.
So let me ask you, I think, are we at the point where we're done?
Like why would that? I can't be done because they're two and five. But you have your own personal reasons.
I'm talking about editorially, like do we keep talking the Jets? They're terrible, like terrible, they haven't won a game in over a month.
There's still a chance, there's still a chance. We had talked about them going nine and two, Right, that's now out of this.
So nine and one now the locker playoffs? Five? Okay?
So now in all honestly, there are three games back from the Bills, and the Bills already beat them, had to head, so they're done. I don't think the ANC East is legitimate, But Dolphins could be two wins, Patriots could be another win, and then suddenly you're in that murky thing, but they're not winning the division.
But at this point those would be like we always say empty callories because what does it matter if they make it to the first of January and then they lay an egg.
Like the night before the game. We're referencing the great motivational speakers. You just trade it for Devonte Adams, Like you need someone to go up there and tell you, guys, let's make it's a high school team. This two and five bad team. They're very interesting, They're very bad.
I really mean that. What are their takes there? We should talk about other teams.
We are going to on this Monday on GMFP, But first let's check in with our NFL Network insider, Ian Rapaport. Good morning to you, our friend. Sometimes brutal conversations to be had coming off a busy sunday of football. For example, quarterbacks that suffered pretty tough injuries yesterday.
Where do we go?
Yeah, that's exactly where we are going here. Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback for the last several years, so when we locked in for guaranteed money for the next two years, is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles that would knock him out.
For this season.
This is one of them.
You're seeing the clip right there.
You don't have to be a doctor to watch this on TV and say, okay, that is for sure an Achilles injury.
You could see it roll op in the back of his cap.
He's gonna have an MRI that will make for sure the diagnosed this that everyone believes right now, which is that Deshaun Watson has played his last down in twenty twenty four. Kevin Stefanski walking up to the podium right after the game and essentially saying that is what.
It looks like. It was a tough scene.
Teammates tour around him.
He was wheeled off in a cart in tears with a tile over his head. Deshaun Watson likely playing his last down in twenty twenty four. The future is murky there. We are going to discuss it plenty of the next several days and week. Meanwhile, Dorian Thompson Robinson, who is his backup, who actually was a backup for the first time for the Cleveland Browns yesterday, suffered a figure injury. My understanding is it is not considered to be major, and you have to make sure he can actually grip the football, somewhat important.
For a quarterback.
And then Jaden Daniels, the Commander's quarterback, one of the best stories of this entire season, was knocked out yesterday with a ribs injury, something that I would say would generally be concerning. If you see a player with a rib injury, often they miss a game. His mother, Regina tweeted mid game, all right, he's fine, Still gonna have tests, still need to ascertain exactly what this injury is before we know for sure that he is.
Going to play. This week.
Marcus Mariota played very well his backup quarterback.
All Right, I thanks, jan Daniels is so fun. Can we Kyle just say we need him back? Okay, we want to get him back. See the Commanders Jayden Caleb this week, Jadeen Caleb.
I like Marcus Mario play. I don't want Caleb Mariota, Caleb, Jayden, you want Cale.
That was that game was flesh. Everybody was in like a semi flet.
Late window at one o'clock game another four Choy primetime.
It's a rookie fleck exactly. Yeah, I like that, just a rookie flex sports.
I like that Skirts win the game all the points and Liberty won.
But Jamie, I would be lying if I said it didn't come with a little bit of an I mean, what were the officials at.
The end, Like, if you're a review of a foul, you gotta be able to review a travel.
Okay.
Second, Barkley thought he wasn't gonna get booed when he returned to New York. Well he did, and frankly it was justifiable because he went off yesterday against his former team.
Kyle, you mentioned officiating.
I have a very strong officiating take this morning.
I'm going to share.
It has to do with someone I ran into great roll set hanging out. Oh no, no, Peter, you and I have a very strong take I'm going to share with the Brad Allen have coffee this morning. Lash the Lions vikings was every single bit we wanted it to be ahead all of the elements.
We're going to talk about it afterwards. I'm sorry to the Lions fans.
We spent the whole opening the block talking about the two and five jets. We'll talk about teams in one too, I promised, good Foot Moll here we go, Justin Jefferson of his top five games in his career, three of them are against the Lions include plus yard game. But I'm on Rod Jared Goff had of going like nothing else late fourth quarters, one eighteen remaining and that's on a first and ten golf over the middle. I'm on Rah, the sudden god first downing of Flora's in the background. He knows what time it is, and here comes Jacob Bates. The kicker has an incredible backstory that we'll get into.
They leap the line. He makes it, guys, in a classic. We got a kicker flexing and doing a dance at the boom. The Vikings at the boom. He brought up the boom. Here's an expert on bringing the boom. The justice s a j bring the booze.
This family that goes to costs go and brings the boom and Peter's trying to educate the world on it. The Lions five and one, the Vikings five and one. That's their first loss of the season. A fantastic game. And after the game, Jared brape and Goff was surprised about starting the game at a perfect fifteen for fifteen on his passes.
Did I do it?
Again.
Yeah.
Yeah, see the word perfect hard like it's a perfect completion percentage, but like there's still decisions that like you can change. I felt like I thought I had a chance at it again, Like I felt like halfway through the third I couldn't think of one. And then of course right after that ball gets batted down. But beside the point, we're getting guys open, we're protecting well and hitting them in stride, and it's just you know, one playoff another, trying to focus on each play one point of time.
I mean, what gives you the confidence that you guys bounce.
Back the right way?
Yeah, I think just the kind of guys we have in that locker room. We haven't bat at eye all year, no matter what the circumstance is. So we're just going to continue to, like I just said, put our heads down, continue to be resilient. And you know, I think the biggest thing, too, is just playing consistent football. If we can continue to do that, we'll be right.
Jared goff Is on, let's just redefine perfect eighty three and a half percent completion percentage as a quarterback in his last four games, and no quarterback is ever on that before it pretty great, but is it perfect? I don't know, Peter, I guess you could have some decisions back yesh one, you've.
Got to be really filling yourself and you have that game.
Like, is it really perfect?
Perfect?
It's such a specially nebulous word.
It's perfect, But that could be a better version of perfect version. I'm not so humble, right.
Yeah, he's killed himself and he should be. We hyped up this Ben Johnson Brian Flora's coordinator matchup all week because Brian Flores brings the most pressure in the league and is one of these blitz heavy guys. The number that really stood out for me was that the Vikings blitz Jared Goff fifty five percent of the times on his dropbacks and he went thirteen or fifteen. So that means he stood there in the pocket and handled the pressure and then when they needed him most. And he's done this throughout his career. I know people are like, you know, Jared Goff, is he that guy? Jared Goff has gone into visiting stadiums. He went in an NFC Championship game and beat Drew Brees in the super.
Like he's done it.
He went into Seattle with basically nine fingers and beat Russell Wilson in a playoff game.
He's done it, but last night it.
Was one of those deals where he's got to go the distance. They're down a port and of course Jared goff on that final drive.
It's just precision, and it's it's.
Surgery what it is, because it's the dump off here to Gibbs and let him do his thing after the catch.
And then you get the big one here in the play.
Action, which really was what got them into field goal range, the big pass to a mon rossling Brown when they needed it most.
A couple of runs and they.
Set up the Bates field goal, which we'll get to in a second. But I just golf is not going to wow you in a press conference. He's not gonna be on the cover of of every.
Video game or magazine. And we already start.
In our heads to be like, all right, well that's golf.
But they've got such a good pair of running backs.
You got nicknamed for them, we got all these talented wide receivers, and Aman Rossing Brown was on the Wide Receiver Show, so we know.
He's a huge personality.
Oh and Ben Johnson's the best let's just give Jared Goff his due. He was twenty two of twenty five, and he was thirteen or fifteen when the best defensive coordinator in the league was sending everyone yesterday, I have to say, Jared Goff got the job done.
Enemy territory lines are on first place in the NFC North. Today. Should be Jared Goff talking.
Yeah.
Oh, I thought you was gonna say, Jared Goff day.
Yeah, you got a day now.
But the golf, the golf pod is not coming though.
You know that.
I don't think at the ring light, No.
No, you know, Jared Goff Man, I just love the story. Man.
I keep talking about it, but I even said last week, I was just saying, like the success of this team going up against a very strong Minnesota Vikings defense was going to come down to the execution of that play action, which they do so well. I love the way Jared Goff was just sitting there and picking apart the pressure they're looking at it, and the way coach Johnson also schemed it as well.
I mean he schemed it.
I remember the one player he took a shot down to Almond aman ros Saint Brown right there and they brought a motion player to block Van Ginko coming off bringing off pressure. They were doing different ways, but he stayed calm in the pocket. There was another one. I really loved watching this game and just seeing Jared in there and he's got heat all around him, like fire. He's surrounded by fire, and you got a guy coming now trying to take more. He just keeps his eye down the field and just picks apart the defense. I think, you know, when you see a quarterback like this and you see him playing like that, it gives everybody a round confidence. Defensively, they were playing like dogs. I mean, it was just all over the place.
I loved it was a fantastic game.
It was an unbelievably even game.
That's why Darnell afterwards like, I don't know, like we're confident ourselves.
Of course, they played great. They were completely evenly matched.
It's a long time from now and a lot could happen, but I'm sitting there watching that game.
I'm like, this is the NFC title game, Like this is it.
These are the two teams I like the most the NFC, and due respects to the Packers and some others, but just look at this.
This is a fun exercise.
Look at this how this game matches up numerically, just from the top to bottom the time possession, dead passing yards, dead rushing yards, five off penalties eight for forty nine eight fifty nine turnovers one one, sacks four four.
These two guys are perfect for each other. They really really are.
It's an interesting thing that Brian Flores has now coordinated twenty three games for that team. He's giving up thirty points four times in the twenty three.
Three of them are to the Lions.
So it's like, we love Flores and Peter laying out the pressure and I know that's his brand, and I know he's intimidating and he's cool in your root for him, and a lot of teams just completely buckle under it. We're starting to get into it, like Allion's have his number two type thing. Yeah, three times and he had gotten thirty. They got thirty again. Ben Johnson was awesome. Golf was awesome. I don't think we're giving enough time to him being like, well, I know I was perfect at the start. It was you know what it was like someone who hits like twenty shots and around the basketball corp.
But he's like a couple of them hit the rim like they should be perfect swishes.
When we're exploring the definition of perfect, we've gone crazy places with Jared Goff. No one in the league is playing better than him, and I know now, like I see the MVP's talk is starting, and it should because they're in the conversation for best team in the league and I just don't see anybody in any position playing better than him, and the numbers back it up too.
He's absolutely unconscious.
He does teeter on humility and kind of endearing when when Jared Goff does it. Let's also keep in mind that the lines were able to do this and get after a Vikings offense and frankly hang with them and come back in a way without a Hudginstead, which we always talked about emotionally. Last week it could have been a huge deal, like they could have fell flat. They had to go to Minnesota because the next time these two teams play it'll be next year.
It's twenty twenty five.
Yeah, the schedule is weird.
The last week of the season, yes, and intentionally play in the next round that round of the playoffs.
It's crazy on the Viking side of things, though, just real quick. The fact that they had been up entire season in sub three and a half minutes. Kevin O'Connell a couple weeks back, he was saying, like, if I could run a team and throw fifty times a game, like that's the kind of party he wants to go to. He's a quarterback. He wants to have a passing offense. But he knew that he had to bring physicality to this roster this year.
I think they did. The defense looks great.
Jonathan Gernard Andrew Vinkinkle for to get them for the price of Danil Hunter to the Texans. Like the defense, this is so great in this game, I.
Could not stop watching. It was flawless great.
I don't have like spicy takes on the Vikings. They were going to lose, eventually, we're going to go.
It was amazing.
They were really good played it.
I don't know, he's gonna play really good great, Like the Vikings are a playoff team, they're good.
I think it's interesting that we're saying all these numbers back up that Goff has never played better and he's the best player in the league. Meanwhile, Mahomes has never played worse than his life numerically like, he's playing terrible and they're undefeated and they just win. The Chiefs are fascinating and I'll get into him, but that could be the Simper Bowl matchup. A lot of chatter about this one, our obvious storyline.
Sake one used to be a Giant, he's now an Eagle. He's playing a.
Giants state him, that's what they used to call it. Now look at he's shaking hands with ownership and there was congeniality, I thought, And then then this happened.
Guys. Are you ready? Yeah, here you go.
Bad day to be Dane Belton, who never hurt anybody, didn't do anything wrong, just.
Happened to be on the Giant.
Dane Belton, We love you this morning, buddy. You've been on television a lot the last twenty four hours. And they're going, Saquon down the sideline with Cam Jerkins.
Leading out in front. Is he gonna house this thing?
Nobody does a nice little hesitation there in the sideline.
He says, bring it on. They did boo him.
They put him u vociferously, actually, but that's what they were going to do.
Of course.
Touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, guys.
The Giants are very bad team.
Let's just pause for a minute in the middle of the highlight to say that not great bad team, I mean very bad team. I just I'm not even going to try to make it a matter of opinion.
It's just they're bad right now for football.
I think the Syriani antagonistic nature of him has helped this. He's like, let's let's go beat up the Giants. Let's beat up the Giants with their old player. And they did the toush push and they did everything. It was just a tour to force, but a little bit almost like the Lions last week against the Cowboys. Wasn't this is more personal, but they were just doing whatever they wanted.
Yeah, twenty eight to three, Sakwan, talk about it? What about in your household?
To be honest, I'm so happy these game's over. I don't think I should get besides today any more questions about the Giants. But like I always said, thankful for that organization that the team that drafted me still got nothing but love and respect for all the guys over there. But I'm happy to be Eagle. And most importantly, we got to win today in division because the division of are.
You surprised by the vitriol?
I mean, they're burning your jersey in the parking lot.
That was crazy. That was crazy.
I mean, I've seen my jersey get burned before over on social media, but the timing of it, like, I'm locked in, I'm listening to my music and I see like the fans and all see his fans just pointing, and I look, I'm like, what are they pointing at? And I see smoking. I'm just like my jersey again burned. So yeah, that was definitely different. I don't know if I ever experienced anything like that in my life, and you know, hopefully I know experience that again. But in that moment, I was, I was ready for third and one.
Let's just say that, all right, Let's leave a couple of things in the past, shall we. Burning Saquon Barkley's jersey, no matter which one it is Penn State Giants Eagles, doesn't matter, even if he goes to the place where the Cowboys don't do it.
In his career, Just don't do it.
And also stop asking about playing against his former team, because this is a done deal. The Eagles beat up on the Giants yesterday.
Do I have there go first.
It's all I'm thinking about, is jersey burning? Guy, what an interesting sub genre. Sure, Like I'm going to the game and I'm going to get A'm gonna get like light, some kerosene and a lighter and then make sure.
We have Fis this happened outside, right, I would hope?
Yeah? Yeah. I mean we've seen it for years.
It's just like I have never even once considered burning New Jersey, even when I was younger. Of all the things I would rather bring, like a d in a fence to the game.
It's just a strange thing. And then I saw it was.
I was Jason Kelce was soapboxing about it yesterday about I have no idea why Giants fans are mad at Saquon Barkley, be mad at the organization, be mad at ownership being bad and leadership and everything. And if you want to burn a New Jerseys, like I would burn some Giants jerseys. At this point like this just there was a nothing games to start to finish. I thought Saquon played it really well well. The only mistake I thought he made was saying before the game that they're not going to boom me, which it made them mandate that they would boo him great player.
I still don't even know what the Eagles are.
I think they're pretty good, but aj Brown makes a huge difference. He was actually the most important player in this game. I know Saquon dominated, They're so different when ages out there.
Takuon was a couple of yards short of having his career high and rushing and Sirianni apparently is like going go get it and he's like, let gain will eat and he's like.
I'm good. So he didn't get his career high in rushing. He's like he let him go.
When he said like gane will eat that, he eat it. Applebee's no.
Commercial, go get it.
It's Takuon very good. Applebe smokes for right. We had him on the show. It's interesting because the Eagles are now quietly off the by winning two games in a row. And there was so much inks billed and so much bloodshed internally and on the in the Philly market about their defense. Their defense has been outstanding the past weeks and given up four field goals the past two weeks, and.
Yesterday they gave Daniel Jones absolute hell.
Like you're watching this game, Jones is gonna feel the brunt of it. Guys, I tweeted it, yes, or I didn't realize it was gonna be a tweet that would you know, be picked up.
By double.
And Football and Football, although it's a big one right to the penthouse. Saquonaquon has more touchdowns this year a Met Life than Daniel Jones. He still doesn't have a touchdown at met Life. And they've gotten blown out every game at home. It's just and you know, you could say, well, they didn't get blown out by the Cowboys. Cowboys had everyone injured and that game was just painful to watch. You look at the guys on Philly. It took maybe a year or something. But like Nikobe Dean who's been on that roster, was a third round pick out of Georgia.
Like his outstanding.
It was all over the field.
You had Jalen Carter everywhere on the field. You had Nolan Smith. So like we crowned them for all the Georgia stuff. And it's like last year where all the Georgia guys, they're slowly coming together.
Sometimes it takes time in a new system.
Granted they played the Browns and the Giants, but they have been unbelievated thirteen sacks the past two weeks.
That's what Vic.
Fangio's defense supposed to bring. So who knows, maybe Philly's putting it together. But yesterday was Saquon's day.
For sure.
It was sa Quan's day. That defense. Eight sacks. I mean, that was that was fun.
That was fun to watch the professional box Bross, Hey, what are you doing?
What was this was the nugget again, Peter about Saquon versus Danielones touchdowns.
Saquon has more touchdowns at MetLife Stadium this season than Daniel Jones.
Wow, that's not great. Was there like some great Fox researchers that gave you. I want to shout out, I did it? You do yourself?
When he scored, I said, does Daniel Jones have a touchdown? And I looked it up on Google and it was like, you know, ESPN dot com Daniel Jones zero touchdowns.
I was like, all right, I did it.
I made it.
I made a great factor.
All right, and it went viral. Everybody's tweeting about it.
So true as we head to next week, you know, so there was it was cool to hear what you were saying about you know, Saquon and saying, yo, you know, let the other guys eat instead of my record. So that was real humility. But then there was the fake humility. I'm gonna call it out on Saquon. Fake humility. He wanted to good and hell well you wanted to ball against that. It was I was watching the just the warm ups, the pregame warm up, and I was like, I'm reading his body language. He's got his He didn't even have the the the bluetooth wireless head said he had the wired.
Ones like it was a wired guy one.
I liked you, I that's what the wired I like almost of this guy.
But I looked at this and I go he wanted this battle. He wanted to prove a point, especially as he was feeding in when they started to boo him at one point in the game. He's like, bring it on, because you're actually giving me energy. You're fueling me in this situation. But this offense still looked a little shady. They still haven't scored a point in the first quarter. They were one of thirteen in the red zone. This was all Saquon because it was a strong running game for for the Eagles. So if it wasn't without you know, having Saquon, they would struggle, I mean eight percent.
To good Giants defense. So the defense today it.
Is to your point, like he actually probably wants more Giants questions like, really, why not wouldn't you want more? Now ask me about the Giants. I just destroyed them. They should never let me go.
The eltimate Mike dropped though, to tell your coach, I don't put me back in.
I'm good.
It's awesome, like I'm satisfied.
It's parallels Jared Goff saying I was kind of perfect, It wasn't quite perfect.
Like I'm just good enough. I don't need my record.
It says a lot about Saquon. But elseos thought about Sirianni. Let's run it.
I like that about Sirianni. Yeah, that like that jackass that he can be, and that the fact that's the good part of it is that he's a jerk to the other team too, sometimes just to his own fancias, but.
Like to the other team, and that helps.
The story that I got was that you know, Sirianni said to him, and Taekwon said, obviously no putting gain Well whatever, it's fine, and like Sirianni looked at him and he's like, I love you man. Like it was like that moment, like that's what we're trying to be here.
Like although you know we mentioned wrestling a little bit, you know, I do want to see a little bit of the attitude. Ever, I wanted Jared Golf to get up there and say, yeah, you saw what I did. I want to say Kuan's like it, now, who are you gonna release? Like you know, now, am I worth it?
You know?
I wanted him to get up there and say that, but he didn't. It was just all of this posturing of being humbled, like, come on, sake, won give it to us, man, give the people.
What they want.
You know, we heard Siriani this summer talk about how he's like reading all these philosophical books and he's trying to have different approaches to his coaching. Apparently he said to Sa Kuan before the game, like, hey, if you want to use some of that hatred to fuel your game, use it if you don't flush it, Like he just kind of gave him the emotional option. You take it where you want. It doesn't matter. Twenty eight three. It speaks volumes emotionally.
Everyone was very at peace about it in Philadelphia.
Are we gonna see Saquan feeling angry tomorrow?
Kyle on a Tuesday tomorrow.
I was gonna be so fun. And then he all right, that's it, that's over. He he wins.
And then the face of the sport does something in his game against San Francisco that made.
Everybody laugh out loud.
I also got to note that Tommy DeVito has more touchdowns in met life.
There you got down, Sinday. Bout that's actually true. That's actually true. That came from Laguana.
Pretty it is good, mon, Sherry, We go over to you.
Is the news today? Happy or sad?
Chiefs are the last undefeated team after their win over the forty nine ers on Sunday. But it was a tough loss for San Francisco. In the Super Bowl rematch, they suffer another big loss to one of their star players. Wide receiver Brandon Ayuk left the game with a knee injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said, the team is worried. I you suffered an ACL injury. You see it here. He's undergoing further testing today to determine the extent of this injury. Then Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf left the game in the win over the Falcons in the fourth quarter to knee injury. He was also cardonto the locker room. The severity of this injury isn't known, but head coach Mike McDaniel says they're optimistic it wasn't too bad.
Well, time now for this week's we play review, as.
We take a look at impactful official reviews from a play on Sunday, We're going to take you to Bengals Browns. Cincinnati wide receiver Charlie Jones were turning the open kickoff one hundred yards for the score while she just tiptoes the sideline finding.
The end zone.
The official review of the play shows Jones stayed inbounds as he dives in great body control. That by Jones gid us to you, my friend. All right, Well, coming up, we've got the plays. You just have to see it again and again to believe. You got to rewind. That is next, don't go anywhere.
Time for one of our favorite segments, Peter. We were just talking about it, right. There was so much football on Sunday. It was from sun up to sundowns, so there must be a play, Peter, you want to run it back.
No bigger game than Kansas City San Francisco, and no bigger play than the magician Patrick Mahomes using his legs here in what was noted by Kevin Burkhardt as the longest run of his career. Two fake outs, three fake outs, four fake outs, and he's still going until he's finally pushed out of bounds at the five yard line. This was at a crucial point in the game, a one score ball game, and Mahomes dancing along the sideline.
Brady said it in the broadcast. It reminds you a little bit of the Titans.
AFC Championship game.
This one was almost even more impressive because of the multiple fake outs. And I know it's controversial for guess what Mahomes gets the job done.
Moves the chains. It's what he does.
And what's speaking about it is he's not even a burner. It's not like he's out there running a four to three or four two. He's just doing them with the old man baking the pump. It looks fun to munch.
He's elusive to play. Probably not in the playbook.
It's a very low there's a lot going on in there with him on the sideline.
In defen it's just a lot we'll make get in that.
I wouldn't want to be involved.
You know how good you have to be to get traded, not know your quarterback, introduce yourself not on the playbook, and then still score a touchdown on your first game with the team. Mari Cooper, what's going on here? Josh Allen finds a Marii Cooper in the red zone.
Who was a thing of beauty.
Did a Marik Cooper know what he was doing before this ball got snapped?
First? Let's to see.
Here's Mary Cooper, Here's Keon Coleman. Heay can can audible? What am I doing?
Man?
What am I doing?
We go that way and he went that way and he popped the ball for a touchdown. There, Amari Cooper, key On Coleman our new best friends that we didn't know we needed.
He's asking a rookie with that's like what I look.
At Peter A Kyle off Fire. I'm like, yeah, what are we doing here? They're like, I don't know. You're the host.
You decided, you know what? I want to talk?
Run run game sake Kwon Barkley, Say Kwon Barkley.
We know he had a date. It was his date.
Look at this beautiful run over here just gets to the outside and just shows I'm sain Kwon Barkley.
You should have never got rid of me.
I want you to rewind this back because we've given a lot of love to Saint Kwan Bar.
Talk about Cam Jerdans. You don't want to talk about Champ. Look at Cham pulling over here. This is the sin I mean, he is the.
Running with him closed this eagle.
Look at that, he's.
Three hundred pounds. Just one more time. Look at him from the back angle. Here here he goes here pulling the center pool. Right here, he says, get out of the club. My man, Sain Kwon Barkley needs an escort, and he's still running with him.
Look at him. Look at the big fellow. I see you running a four to four.
Every time we do rewind that, I feel like we all do rewind that.
Off.
Bar gets like three rewinds on play.
Like he's just like, let me sure you again, let me shure again, let me show you.
I'm a little greedy. I'm a little greedy.
I'm a little greed.
I just want to mats. Back in the day, we would pause to be adjusted one more time, though, one more time trading places.
Yeah that was or yeah, I mean one, guys, this segment is not about scores or standings or anything.
Look at this play.
This is Lonnie Johnson Junior of the Carolina Panthers. It's watched the reverse angle of this incredible play. Lonnie Johnson Junior, I watched this planet. I'm like, I want that for rewind that this isn't the best angle. But anyway, we're gonna have a Panthers punt go figure.
They're getting absolutely destroyed by the commanders, and Lonnie says, not today. He's gonna find this thing and he's gonna jump up in around the boat. Was that imagine Johnson?
Yes, good, We're number thirty two in.
Her name of Charlotte Hornet's point guard.
That's Charlotte Muggsy. Muggsy look at that.
His nickname his father gave him to him is Lotto because he was always lucky as the kid. Lonnie Johnson Junior lucky there as well, but also some skilled Muggsy bogues bammed a.
Kendall Gill in the corner. That's it, baby, Come on, you rewind that you remember the hairdoo? Yeah? Baby, go underneath the Grandma mo for the big dunk.
We guard out of connecticuit that got drafted by Charlotte I mean.
Walker, Yeah, I know. Oh man, it was a long sun.
That's our show, by the way, the Home's cool play, and.
Then a punt coverage play.
Sharon Stone and Sharon Stone. I was going Jamie Lee, Curtis.
Kyle, what about Wade Night in that scene he steals the singing.
Ione didn't hear my basic and sync reference.
Don't make him say it again.
Don't got a nice pick. Don't trust her
