Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

Good Morning Football.

That's right, this is Good Morning Football, presented as always by Old Trapper Beef Jerky live here in Los Angeles. A couple more people at the table on a Monday.

We love it.

That's Peter Schrager. This is Isaiah Standback. I'm Jamie Ardell in New York. Is Kyle, Brent, Kyle. It's very nice shirt you're wearing today. Why the choice?

Because the national Football leagues headed to the United Kingdom. We're finally here, guys, and we have a hell of a matchup coming this week. I'm so excited that I'm by myself finally Peter on the West coast. West Coast Schrager. Remember Peter, this isn't daycare. We're here to win championships. You understand, my friend, No daycare.

They're in LA. We're here for championship.

I know Brady and Baker that was something, and it was like that's an edge.

They doubled down.

And then Fitzpatrick, who I don't think loves Brady, he chimed in on Twitter.

Like quarterbacks, can we all just get along?

That's what I was thinking all the time. You know.

What I was thinking was that the footage of Brady approaching anybody in a pregame. Could they add more cameras and boom mics to those conversations like they have to listen at all times?

It must be so strange for him.

It was a going on.

It's a lot, a lot of listening.

There was a lot going on specifically Kyle last night for the Baltimore offense. Ravens Bills take us there, will you please?

I think we should go to Maryland. Okay, in New York, California, Maryland.

Here we go. After a nice little drive by the Bills. Here's the first carry, kind of a warm up carry for Derek Henry. Wow, he's at the gates. Mister mar Hamler gonna catch him. No one's gonna catch him. You say, Boat's not gonna catch him. First play, first carry, longest run in Raven's history, eighty seven yards. That is not an angry run because he literally was not touched. That would have been a touchdown in two hand touch it says. And then Derek Kenner's touching touchdowns, he guessn't caught a touchdown in five years. The five years. He doesn't do it. He isn't doing Tennessee. He doesn't hear, guys, and we have a blowouts and the Bills have looked incredible.

But not tonight. Josh Allen was not the MVP last night.

That Bill's got salacked thirty five to ten. This was all Baltimore from literally the first play from scrimmage for them.

We're gonna hear.

From both quarterbacks, including and Josh Allen saying we got our butts kicked.

There, Henry.

You know, he opened up the action game, you know, guys running to the ball trying to stop him from getting getting started in the backfield and off Sir Linsa did a great job giving Derek LANs receivers did a great job as well, you know, blocking down the field. And then Derrek do his things. Shout out to the tight ends tight ends as well.

The guys that make up this locker room understand who we are, what we are. Bless you, and we're not gonna let this again avalanche. The guys that we have in this in this building, they're smart. The guys have played a lot of football in their careers, so they understand the the ebbs and flows of an NFL season, and this is going to happen time to time. You know, sometimes you walk into a building and they were a bush all tonight. They kicked our butt, you know, That's what it comes down to.

Josh Allen very polite during the press conference, which we appreciate.

Not very nice.

The Ravens offensively, for the first time ever in the NFL, have out rushed their opponents for four games straight to start the season by over one hundred yards.

It's just been ground game for the Ravens.

Peter, I have to apologize to a few players on the Ravens, Patrick McCarry, Daniel Falaile, Tyler Lindenbaum. We came out after the first two weeks of the season and we said, well, they lost three veterans on the offensive line. They've taken a major step back. I have to apologize to Zach Orr, who we said, well, you know, Mike McDonald took the job out in Seattle and their defense has taken a hit. And most importantly, I have to apologize to Derrick Henry, who I said after two weeks, I'm not sure if that's the identity of this Ravens team, and he's been unbelievab four hundred and eighty yards through four games, and he absolutely destroyed.

The Bills last night.

And he looks faster, he looks more physical, and he looks happier than he ever did at the Tennessee tight And in the post game he had.

A smile a mile wide. And it's like, these guys, maybe it's right.

Maybe September you kind of kind of find yourselves. The last two weeks, the Ravens have been dominant in this backfield of Justice Hill and Derrick Henry has been running right behind what Lamar was saying. Great offensive line, two tight ends blocking, and even the wide receivers are out there throwing blocks and getting in front of it. A dominant victory real quick. Defensively, I think it can't go overstated just how far this defense has come. They were lit up by the Chiefs, they were lit up by the Raiders in that fourth quarter. Even the Cowboys came back last week. The Bills came into this game averaging thirty seven points a game. Every time they tried to get it going, that Ravens defense was on it. And it was guys like Kyle Hamilton, and it was guys like oh way. But then you have the old warhorse van Ney making that big play at the end. This is the complete Ravens team. But we saw all right there last night. This is the one that we see contending for his Super Bowl. And I'm going to say I apologize to those folks who I questioned the first few weeks. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get going when you're in a new role and you've been thrust into that position after such luminaries are there before you.

I think you're absolutely correct, and I'm going to say that this Ravens offense especially is dangerous Michael Jackson, because these guys, it's exactly how they drew it up. I know a lot of people had questions in regards to that. You know, was this a great acquisition for them? Are they going to utilize Derrick Henry the winning which he used to usually is And the answer is yes, anytime that you could utilize a big boy back like him, and then you could mix it up by putting heel in there as well. This is a cold combination. And then you have the fact that, well mar Jackson only has to throw the ball eighteen times a game, but Mark Jackson only has to throw this thing out of his head eighteen times a game, and he's able to turn back around, hand the ball off Derrick Henry. He's able to go into I formation, he's able to go in the pistol, He's able to go.

Out there and give different zone read looks.

This is going to be very difficult for teams to try to figure out because there's just so many looks and so many things that you have to be concerned about. Motions across the fort nations, pulling guards, pulling tackles, misdirection all over the plays. This isn't going to be a problem for any team that decides to try to line up against these guys, and there's a lot more that has to come from that going forward.

It really is.

And you know, in this power rankings culture that we live in, you know, the Bills were maybe one, maybe two in the whole league going into this game. They just looked absolutely dominant and Alan MVP and all the stuff that we've talked about.

It was a terrible game.

Terrible game, not competitive from start to finish, never even showed up for it. One of my favorite MMA fighters is this guy, Jorge Masvidal, huge personality in a sport of shrinking violets. But one of the craziest fights I've ever seen is he runs across the cage and watches a flying knee knocks the guy out.

In two seconds, it's over.

It kind of felt like that's what Derek Henry did to the Bills last night.

It's like, let's get it on.

Oh, they're unconscious, and then the rest of the game you just kind of played it out. Now they weren't unconscious because he got to finish the game, but it was like like the equivalent of a terrible cut that they just never really recovered from. And they kind of defend themselves and they did a few things, but was that game over after one play? It really really felt like it's And this is also to the MMA in comparison styles make fights right.

We've talked for the last.

Few weeks about the best tacklers on the Bills are all injured. They're all standing on a huddle on the sideline, and they've gotten away with some things because their secondary is good and Josh Allen's been amazing.

Terrible matchup.

Terrible matchup when you don't have Milano and Bernard and Johnson and all those guys who couldn't tackle anybody, and then they were finally exposed on the Derrick Henry note. We had them on the show last week, and we love him and everybody loves him.

He's been hyped. I feel like last night that run that's to start, the eighty seven yard run to start the game.

Guys, in six, seven, eight, nine years, I don't know, we're gonna see that in Canton when he goes to the Hall of Fame. This is gonna be in the video montage. They're gonna play this run. They're gonna play several others that we know, but just understand the impact of this run on the first play. Derrick Henry's thirty years old. He has over two thousand carries in the NFL. He had over six hundred at Alabama, and he had over four we're eighteen hundred in high school, which means, guys, he is over four thousand carries in his career and he is sprinting away from defensive backs who are twenty four years old, twenty six years old for the longest run in Raven's history. That is not a normal thing. That is a complete anomaly. That's not supposed to happen. He should be beaten down slow, in a shell of himself. And there's some guys playing in the league right now who play his position whose names I won't name, are resembling exactly that he is different. And listen, I have to give Bakbar baj Bamel a credit. In the preseason, he's been like, oh, Derrick Henry joining Lamar, it's gonna be like when Shaq joined Kobe and we're like, come on, Doc Barton, he may be good this year. He's not going to be Shack on the Lakers. If anything, he might be shocked.

Joining d Wade on the Heat. Let me tell you something. Last night he.

Looked like Shack on the Magic, like the Orlando Magic, Shack endorsing all sport and playing with Scott Skiles. He has never looked faster, he has never looked more spry. He's thirty, he has four thousand career carry since he.

Was a kid.

It's not right, it's incredible, and he has the perfect fit with Lamar and the Ravens offense. Absolute butt kicking last night, Shack, you're the man, Derek Henry.

Or him ay KB this ever wont to let you know this, This game gave me a little bit of PTSD back from twenty ten when I was playing with the Patriots. We played against the Ravens in the wildcard round and the first play of the game, Ray Rice goes eighty three yards and just goes all the way to the house.

So it was the Ravens little.

Flashback PTSD exactly what it felt like, because like played a video game, somebody hit you and you know your your character's woozy a little bit, and that's what it was the rest of the game for these guys.

Yesterday, Oh my gosh, the contradiction Peter and you were in the building for the AFC title game of like how the air just went out of M and T Bank Stadium Compared to what happened on that first play yesterday, I can imagine so different.

Yeah, and then it was this thing like, okay, with the Ravens have been giving up leads. Well, there's this feeling in the air of oh is it going to happen again?

And then it just didn't.

Like they just pummeled at that trick play that they tried with the Bills.

That was it. But you're right, Jamie, it says, there's.

Always this great like fear that it's going to all come away from Ravens fans because they've been down this road before.

Last night, it didn't happen Derrick Henry.

They had that finishing punch, which maybe they haven't had in the recent years. This might be the finishing piece that they needed all along to get over the top.

Man who knew All right, let's check in with Ian Rappaport.

Good morning to you.

Ian.

You are our league insider assigned to us this morning. Coming into town last year for that AFC title game was the Kansas City chief They've they're unbeaten this month, but that doesn't mean they haven't lost some of their top weapons.

Another another significant loss for the Kansas City Chiefs. Really, in a season full of them young season, have already lost significant big time, big name players on offense. The latest Rashid Rice, their young star receiver who really has emerged as one of the best young receivers in the NFL, is feared. You have torn his ACL on his knee.

You're going to see it right here.

It's actually Patrick.

Mahomes who hits him, hyper extends his knee, puts it in a really awkward position, and it seems to be one right away when this happened, they knew it was serious. You could see on the sidelines the reactions were not good. Andy Reid actually telling Tracey Wolfson at have time it's not good, and in fact it is not. It's gonna have an MRI today, But the belief is where she Rice is gonna be out for this season. The lost Hollywood Brown for the regular season. They've lost Isaiah Pacheco for weeks. Not good for the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, for the Indianapolis Colts, I would say much better news. Anthony Richardson, their young quarterback, was knocked out of the game.

With the hip injury.

My understanding is it is a hit pointer and it is not considered to be serious. In fact, there was a chance he could have gone back into the game.

Maybe if it was a more important game.

Or a playoff game, he might have been able to go back in, gonna have some tests and such. But from what I understand, there is a chance he doesn't even miss this week's game. If he does, obviously Joe Flacco would go in and just do what Joe Flacco does, which is be awesome despite being very old. And then there was the injury to Jonathan Taylor, their star running back, more than one hundred yards from scrimmage. We'll take one of the best players on the field yesterday. My understanding is he suffered a high ankle spray and the MRII confirmed last night that it was a high ankle sprain, but it's a pretty mild one and the words of one source, he's okay, So we'll see how much time he has to miss. Obviously, missing minimal time is possible for the code seem to have avoided the worst case scenario.

Ian, thank you man. To circle back to the first story you did.

Mahomes must feel terrible to be even in the vicinity of an injury of one of his teammates.

I can't imagine.

We don't want to hear that news later today, but we'll be anticipating the information in Rishie Rice.

Thanks Ian.

The Vikings have their suitcases open, they got their passports out, Sam Darnold and the crew. They went to Lambeau. They took care of business and now they head to the UK. Does that mean that they are the top team in the NFC?

Kyle and they looked incredible yesterday on the first half.

They had him on and they are undefeated and it's unlikely and it's fun.

And now they're going to international. Hey the Eagle, that's a cheery story. They have a Buccaneers problem.

They may have a quarterback problem, may have all kinds of problems. They lost again in a really really bad way to Tampa Bay. Baker and the Bucks look fantastic. Is this gonna be some sort of sea change in Philadelphia? Or are we just riding the news cycle talking Eagles.

We're talking every team.

We're talking your favorite team, your least favorite team, every team.

A good morning football, Good morning football.

Let's go Rams Bears Highlights. Let's get right into it here.

Caleb ver Stafford, two first overall selections, playing in Soldier Field, Bears taking a commanding lead.

Can the defense hold.

Stafford trying to get something to go?

Nope, interception, Bears win. Bears win at home.

Caleb fired up, Stafford just engulfed by Chicago.

Rams go one for five in the red zone.

It would haunt them. Bears win.

They are now two and two in the NFC North.

Loose the closest loot loose and so are the Vikings. Jordan Love is starting, maybe a bit of a surprise, but he's down twenty one to nothing. Maybe a bit of a surprise there too, and it's intercepted. That is Love's second interception of the first half, twenty two unanswered points. Is this really gonna happen? I thought the Vikings the best team in the NFL. Hold on, She goes back to Jefferson, who has one sock up and one sock down now and he goes for another big game. He's gonna signal first down. Jefferson has scored in every game this year. He's just been fantastic. Ladies and gentlemen, you're twenty twenty four. Vikings send him home to Appleton and eu Claire and Sheboygan and Lacrosse and Oshkosh and they are undefeated, not one to no, not two and zero four and oh thirty one to twenty nine. And we have the superstar justin Jefferson, who hold on a second, is he having flashbacks to LSU.

Twenty nineteen?

LSU had was my last four And I mean, but it feels great. I mean, just the whole team is playing together on all three phases. That's something that we've been preaching every single week, and you know, to see it come out out here and for us to be dominated is great to see. Of course, we gotta not let them come back at the end of the game like that and I make it a close game. But I'm very proud of his team.

Sure, there's this cool stat where it's like the Vikings haven't trilled for less than like five minutes this season, Like they've led every single game that they've been in.

They've won every game, Isaiah.

That doesn't mean they didn't have to make it stressful yesterday from some fans.

They definitely stressed out a little bit. But at the end of the day, these guys are three and zero in the NFC, yeah, and they're four and oh in general. Listen, I think it's time that we have to put some respect on Sam Donald's name.

I'm just saying, I don't know.

How everybody's feeling out there, but Sam Donald is doing what he needs to do to put these guys in position to win ball games. Talk about somebody who was the third pick overall back in twenty eighteen. He he didn't have a great start to his career. He jumped around from the Jets to the Carolina Anthers to San Francisco, and now he find himself in Minnesota.

Where he brought him in to be the backup to the tenth overall pick and J. J. McCarthy, and now all of a sudden he finds himself.

In a starting position and all he's doing is just balling, find his guys, making good decisions. He has eleven touchdowns already, almost seventy percent completion rate. These guys are winning ball games the hard way, and they're doing it with somebody that was highly unexpected. But now he is able to step into the fold, and these guys are trusting in their new QB one.

It's a historic start in that it was so unlikely and unexpected.

Now in that building, the.

Vikings will tell you none of this is unexpected. We believe in ourselves and you know whatever, Since two thousand, no team has started four and oh. Who's had as low a projected win total by Las Vegas than what this Vikings need.

They're supposed to.

Win six games this year.

They're already four and oh, And to your point, Isai, they're four and oh, and they've beaten the forty nine ers, the Texans, and when into Green Bay and beat the Packers with their starting quarterbacks. Those are three teams that everyone had as a Super Bowl contender before the season.

It is a historic start.

And I know the scoreboard tells you what it does, and they give all these points. We're like, what Flores has done from the defensive side is n't being talked about because this defense was causing problems for Jordan Love right out of the gates, intercepting passes. They had him up twenty eight to nothing, and we're rattling Love's cage. And this is in Green Bay after you know, Love took another week to get ready after last week he might have been able to go and said, let's give it one more week. With Malik Willis, I'll just say this, You look at that Shanahan offense, and I say that as a big tree like the Shanahan offense. They've now beaten the Texans, where Bobby Slowick.

Runs the Shanahan offense.

They've beaten the.

Packers, where Matt Leaflora essentially runs a combination of the Shanahan offense. And they have now beaten the forty nine Ers, where Shanahan obviously runs the offense. Brian Flores has found a way to stop those offenses. Those are the hardest offices to stopped in the league. That's the hard stuff. The rest will come easy. They've gotten through a gauntlet of a schedule and they are four and oh, the best start ever for a team to be projected with as little wins before the season as they are. Kudos to them. Am I a believer? Well, I believe what I see like they look great. It's a long season, and usually Las Vegas and the rest of us pundits are not crazily wildly off on this. The ninety nine Rams are the last team that I think came from absolutely nowhere and just like steam roll the league and won a Super Bowl, this would be that equivalent with how unlikely this squad is?

Well the unlikely? What are the undefeated teams still standing here?

We have the back to back world champs, we have the Vikings, and then we'll see what Seattle does tonight against Detroit.

It's unbelievable.

To your point, Peter, even if you were really optimistic about the Vikings, even if you were really excited, I don't think literally anyone in the world had four and oh three and one. Sure, maybe listen, the Steelers fans probably thought they could start three and oh, the Seahawks fans.

The Chiefs fans.

I don't think the Vikings fans thought four and oh. It is unbelievable. And I'm trying to resist using this phrase that's just everywhere now. But then when I watch, when I watch the Vikings, the vibes immaculate.

Guys, I finally said it.

I hate that phrase and it's too ubiquitous, but it is true. Like even if you're a red zone watcher game to game in the early window, there's such a tone shift when it goes to certain teams like yesterday, every time that Scotty would go to the Vikings, there's a positivity and there's a body language. And it's not only when it's scoring touchdowns. They just have it together. And I look at the coach now. Listen, he goes to East Rutherford yesterday and the Jets game, Like, the vibes are not great there. There's all kinds of weird stuff and it's some of it was the weather and we'll talk about the Jets today. The Vikings just have this deal where they feel a positivity coming off of them. I will also say, like Week four is also a comeback down to Earth week. The Bills got destroyed, the Steelers lost to Joe Flacco and the Colts like they got knocked off. And if you thought the Vikings were gonna Lambo and Jordan Love is back, well they started out twenty eight to nothing.

It could not have been different.

So I understand, like maybe they're not gonna win the super Bowl yet, but this is not two and oh, this is not.

Three and zero.

I do have to say, like Peter, you had a very very low sentence after you hype them and the coaching defense where you said, well, it's a long season, Like what's the subtext?

And it's a long season, go ahead and put it on the table.

There's ups and downs and what we do in this network, and we do.

Like I was watching last night, Chris Rose asks our colleague David Carr, like, are the Commander's.

Going to win the nfcas it's too soon, Like we can't.

Do that yet, and Car was like, and I'm with David Carr on that, Huh are the Vikings going to win the NFC North? I don't know yet, And I think it's fair to say, let's just play the games and enjoy them.

But they're playing as well as anybody in the.

League right now.

What used to be the exhale on the long season for the Vikings is the fact that you had that game at Lambeau in late December that.

You're like, it's coming. We got to go through Lambo. It's done. They went to Lambo, they already won. They did it in September.

Now, the next time I have to see the Packers in the regular season might be at home. One thought justse Jefferson was great, But one thought I wanted to share is that if you're watching our show to toy your football fan, you probably watched Alabama Georgia on Saturday. I saw this great tweet that was like, you know how good you have to be offensively if you're Kalen de wor run this offense to make a Kirby smart defense confuse.

Like that's how I see.

What Brian Flores is doing to all the Shanahan offenses, Like do you know how good you have to be defensively to continue to take down this offensive tree?

Really really good?

Okay.

Also that Alabama Georgia game, Alabama trying to give it up like the Vikings did, and they did not, So it all comes full circle, all right.

The Vikings there four and oh all.

Right, this is the Niners coming in.

They got some guys back, We've got.

Kittle, we've got Debo, and they're going up against a team that just got bruised and beaten in New York.

The Niners did not blow out the Patriots.

It was a lot closer than it probably should have been, but they did get the win. Party has been really good this season. Forty nine ers very much needed. Thirty to thirteen. They put it on buy Hi mom, I'm.

It's slow mo Hi mom a here we go ahead.

Jamis all right, So Jalen Hurts trying to get things back on track, as is Baker.

Mayfield.

Tom Brady in the booth had a lot of things to say.

We're going to talk about it. Jalen Hurts, gotta hold on to the ball. I mean he's shaking his head. Siriani looks confused.

Those are two you really like star powered quarterbacks, and the Bucks win this one thirty three to sixteen. Baker back on track and the Eagles massive question markyle I.

Watched Marvin Harrison Junior of the Arizona Cardinals. Watch how it gets ready for games?

This is cool?

Up any bit about bout he juggles now, he says he gets his hand eye going great needs the evanescence like Will Ferrell in the office.

I love that one.

So maybe Arizona, my sweet sweet Arizona Cardinals, could beat these upstart commanders. I will promise you it doesn't happen. And this turned into a route. The Cardinals just didn't have the defense to keep up with that guy or that guy or anybody wearing yes, a commander's uniform. You may not like their mascot, they don't care. You better like their team, and you better like their quarterback. And you gotta like how he handles it after he goes on the road to get the three and one just destroys the Cardinals forty two to fourteen. And it's all about staying humble and modesty.

I didn't have any expectations. How much can we learn? How can we keep growing from me personal? And how much can I learn and keep going? How can I learn? How fast I learned to become a prom keep going from there?

In general?

Coming back to Arizona, obviously, this is where my college career started. So obviously, you know, practicing at ASU, first time, being back, things like that, So it could have been a lot of distractions, but you know, you got to put your focus where as meant to be, and you know that's football.

Rookie looks great. Rookie looks great. In Washington. The Commanders are out to an NFC East topping three and one record in September. Peter, your level of impression from Jane Daniels.

I think I might have been higher on Jay and Dan for the season than anybody, and he's blowing me away.

Like I said, he was a.

Number one breakout player. I say, he's the offensive rookie of the year.

I thought that Jaden was going to be fantastic because of his college experience. Fifty five games in college going into an NFL offense.

Is easier than less than that.

And yet, guys, he's completing eighty two percent of his passes in the NFL. Yeah, and it's not like he's throwing six passes in a game.

They're throwing the ball twenty six of thirty. I say this run.

Watched the offensive line they've had twenty three rescoring drives in four weeks, they've had nineteen incomplete passes. Take that again, twenty three scoring drives and nineteen incomplete passes. Put that into context here and think that this is a rookie quarterback. If you, if you were at home, you've watched our show for a long time. I talked to Cliff Kingsbury.

A lot aw summer.

It was like, I'm telling you, it's this kid's special. This kid's special. And it's okay, well, everyone says that about their prize rookie, but like, this kid is special, and he's so grounded and he's so not like impressed by the moment or the spotlight that it's a let me willow in all this, it is such a relief to have that quarterback in that market, for that franchise which has.

Been just waiting and waiting, and it's been through so much crap over the last decade.

New owner, new head coach, new offensive coordinator, new GM and this beautiful, accurate, wise beyond his years quarterback that is new in that team with even a new go, a new name and all whatever else is going on there, it feels fresh, it feels different, and we haven't been this excited about a Washington team, I think even.

Since before the RG three days.

This is like they are a delight to watch and the sky is the limit.

Right now, he looks happy, like on that touchdown celebration, smile on his face is just so joyful. Just to be clear, Peter's breakout players, this is not breakout rookies. This is not like rookies trying to get on see you put him at number one for breakout players on a list with like third year guys.

And the response was, rookies, shouldn't rookie takeout player. He's changing the game, Yeah, changing the game.

Don't question what Peter says. Trust what the man says. Anyways, Jaydon Daniels is a beast. Okay, he's balling out. And the thing is, you talk about his wisdom, he's calm, he's confident, and there's just just this aura about him. Right He's just kind of here, like he's gliding through the game. And you talk about his eighty two percent completion rate, which is absolutely insane. I don't care if you throw the ball ten times a game. That's absolutely insane for high school, it's insane for anything it's insane for Madden.

So this dude is out here. He just doesn't mess up.

Three passing touchdowns, one interception, and four rushing touchdowns.

Understand this. Every since their first week.

Loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, these guys.

Have controlled the ball. That means they have won the possession game.

Okay, thirty seven minutes, thirty three minutes, thirty three minutes.

These guys are possessing the ball.

And when you're able to have that kind of control and be able to not make make mistakes, not turn the ball over with the defense of a Dan Quinn, you're going to set yourself up for success. And that's why these guys are at at the top of the NFC right now.

There used to be this ad campaign, I don't know if it still exists. The company Maytag and they make appliances, and their angle it was very brilliant was they had this repair man who would wear a cap and a jacket and the joke was he sits around just tediously bored. No one ever calls because the appliances don't break down, So the Maytag repair man just sits around and does nothing. Do you know who the Maytag repair man of the NFL is right now.

It's a dude named.

Tress Waay trash Sway is the command punter.

Tressway is the Maytag repairman.

Do you know He's been in the league ten years, He's punted over seven hundred times. And in this season, the twenty twenty fourth season, the Commander's punter, tress Way has punted four times, just four punts. And we're almost in October now, guys, I thought that the offenses were slowed down this year. I thought nobody can move the ball and the passing numbers are down, and all the punters are out there constantly. Not with the Commanders with a rookie quarterback and a new head coach. This is an incredible thing that's going on here. It's we're trying like hell to backflip and sell it. We're still not doing a good enough job. He do what I said, sixteen straight scoring drives they had, which is the longest streak in the league in thirty years.

Do you understand what that means? That literally the.

Ninety nine Rams did not go as long as the twenty four Commanders, that the seven Patriots did not go as long as the twenty four Commanders. Those guys had MVPs and Hall of famers, like this guy is Jeremy Nichols and scary Terry McLaurin and a rookie.

It's not right what is happening here?

And it's so incredible, and I understand, like everyone wants to say, well, they're going to take the East, and like I think Peter literally said it his take that he's changing the.

Game, and I don't even know if he's wrong.

It looks so natural, so easy, and the Cliff Kingsbury thing is working, and the offensive line is working and the defense is working.

And this is a franchise. Nothing has ever worked here ever.

Ever, It's not just like okay, like the Eagles or such a Cowboys or someone who usually all due respect, has their act together organizationally, and they puts out.

They put out good, respectable teams.

Maybe they don't win all the games over year, but it's a product you can get behind. The Commander's product has been one of the worst products in the league for years. I feel like since I was a kid, and now this is the one. And here's the crazy thing. They don't have a primetime game on the schedule. It's like we as a group right here, as a show, we want people to watch the Commanders, Like please, if you're just watching this on red Zone, it's not the real experience. The Vikings have been really cool when they're undefeated. This to me is the most astonished thing that's happening in the league. And they don't have a primetime game until week eleven.

We got to go like two more months.

So I don't know when the flex kicks in, but Roger Goodell should bust an eye vessel flexing these guys into prime time. Like now, we need the people to see Jaden Daniels. He is the best thing going right now, the coolest, most fun most astonishing thing, the.

Best show right now. It's not the Vikings. It's not the Chiefs.

It's not it is the Commander's offense and the Commanders in a hole. And I have never said that in my life.

I think what Kyle said is really spot on.

The delta or the change of what your typical team is and then what you're getting now is so great. I think you have to understand the context of just how downtrodden this franchise has been. In the headlines, ownership changes ugly stuff with the logo and the nickname like stuff that wasn't football related necessarily. And now Commanders fans, after years of dealing with all of that and bad football, have a likable head coach, a likable owner, and a really likable football team led by this kid. In quick note, a couple of weeks from now, who do they play? They go in that DMV battle, they play Lamar Jackson in the.

Run, and that's going to be the game of the week.

And I don't think anyone circled that before the season started.

It has never been a game of the week when those two meet up. It's always been like, oh, here we go again. The Ravens are gonna run rough shot all over the Washington team whatever they were named at the time. What I loved about the Jeremy McNichols touchdown is that when you look him up now, his nickname in high school was Mic Weapon, which is the exact thing I needed to know on a Monday morning. Also applicable to Dereck Henry. I feel like his nickname could be Mick Weapon. And the Ravens they ran all over the Bills again. That game to be played between the Commanders and the Bills in two weeks. But we got to look back. We got back to Sunday Night football. We're inspecting the Ravens. We've got highlights. We're also going to go Browns Raiders.

We go all on the league.

Okay, We're not just Commander's talk all day all the We kind of want to be.

Good Morning Football.

Welcome back to Good Morning Football on this Monday now. Earlier this season, our guy Kyle called wide receiver Mike Evans the greatest buccaneer of all time. Well after Sunday's performance, it might be hard to find a doubter. Evans scoring on the team's first drive, making him Tampa's all time leading scorer, passing Martin Gramatica for the honor ar Very owned Sarah Walsh catching up with Evans after the game to talk about what this needs.

Baker in particular, on fourth and one, the Baker keeper, how many times he was almost brought down an extended place, took care of the ball, threaded passes that were really ridiculous today. Just speak to what this guy is doing for you.

I mean, he's extremely difficult to defend. He's one of the best do with threat quarterbacks in the game. Right now, he keys plays alive. He's the ultimate competitor.

You became the points later for this franchise. No one has scored more points for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Put that in perspective.

That's a blessing.

God has been really great to me and my family, and I'm super humble and appreciative of this opportunity. Oh, this accomplishment, it has.

An awesome game.

Congratulations Mike and joy it.

Thank you, sir.

Well.

Time now for this week's replay review.

We look at an impactful official review of a play from Sunday. We're gonna take you to Broncos and Jets Aaron Rodgers connecting with wide receiver Mike Williams for a twenty one yard catch along the sideline.

Look at this.

The initial ruling was an incomplete pass, saying William's feet didn't get down. Well after the review, yeah, the call was reversed to a completed pass. Watch this again, just as tippy toes. Yeah, he's got that ball. A great job by Williams keeping his feet just in bounds making the grab. Now coming up the plays having us run it back. We had to see it twice to believe maybe it was that one. But you got to check out what we got to rewind that is next.

Grab you remote. There were a lot of games on Sunday. The one o'clock windows started to pick up steam as we went. Kyle, what play did you want to run it back from yesterday?

This is an obvious one.

It was a good day for the Bears yesterday. So I'm going to talk about their superstar rookie, not Caleb.

Give me Tory Taylor, the rookie punter. Give me the rear.

Angle, the boom sixty four yards?

Does he get the hop with you? All the way over the park Hut? Think Think, Think coffin Bleepin' corner.

Nearly into Lake Michigan, Caleb Williams beat Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay.

Then went right to his Instagram.

And posted this play of all the plays that he wanted to hype.

Caleb did it? Tory Taylor?

Remember they spent a fourth round pick on a punter, a legend.

Out of Iowa. And if only, if only he had.

Gotten some preseason hype on some sort of watch list from some sort of morning television show.

People might know about him. Peter had him on the Austin on there.

We love that Ully.

We can't go from a more different story as an Australian punter who went to Iowa then to the guy who I'm picking a Heisman Trophy winner out of Alabama.

Give me the eighty seven yard Derrick Henry run.

First play of the game for the Baltimore Ravens.

Want to talk about setting the tone port Tamar Hamlin. I'm watching him here, I was feeling for him. I'm like, I've been there, bro been.

There, been there, chasing my kids around, chasing anyone in the.

Athletic yes, my goals, like yeah, right, yes, looking at my workout calendar like yes, Like there's number three, poor.

Guy Derrick Henry, And it was just set in the tone.

He would have one hundred and ninety nine yards. But are you kidding me?

Back in Baltimore after they played that horrible game against the Raiders two weeks ago, Derek Henry starts the game with that, that's my rewinded awesome one.

He stops running and he looks like he could have kept going very easily ridiculous.

So for Hamlet's hamstrings on that play about who trying to catch him. Anyways, I'm gonna go with the man over there in San Francisco, mister freet Warner himself, the man.

Who just and make all the play. Let's take a look at him. You see him there?

He backs up in the cover two dropping out. Sorry for set, that's gonna be mine. No you thought I was down. No, this is in college, this is the NFL. I'm gonna get up and I'm going to house this thing all the wait, wait a minute.

I got it you. Let's go ahead and run that thing back one more time. Listen up.

This man is at the line of scrim is showing blitz and then he backs out of the blitz. Okay, Taste Care's responsibility number two. Taste caret man across bumps over the coverage and then goes.

Up and makes a big boy play.

It says, nah, I forgot eight years ago, I was drafted.

Me go ahead and get up and run this thing out. My hammies are heavy, but I have to store. Thank you very much. Right now, that man is a problem. Every time. You have to know where he's at, and all he does is make plays.

Helps him You get pushed into the end zone by the other team as well. Yesterday during Eagles Buccaneers, Tom Brady was filterless if you will, you unfiltered on his Baker takes on his stances about some of the play calling, and then Kevin Burkhardt asked him, how did you decide to come to Tampa? And a little nugget came out that no one had ever heard before.

Take a listen.

Chicago was a team and I've never told that story before. They were very stealth in their recruitment. I was seriously consider empleat so you were almost a Bear.

Chicago was a team that I what did everyone's head explode?

And I don't know the.

Zip code in Chicago? Kyle, please speak to this.

Yeah I know.

I mean listen, everyone in the seven seven three, that everyone too in the eight four to seven.

Never mind what Brady said. Everybody in Chicago was.

Like, all right.

So that would have been the twenty twenty Bears.

They had just drafted Cole Comet, they had Khalil Mack, Naggie was still there.

Could we have won something?

Would have been Brady versus Rogers during the COVID season.

It never happened. He won a Super Bowl and I doubt he would have done that with them.

I guess it was Trubisky and Foles. I'm just thinking off hand, is that who the quarterbacks were? And you know we I'm ever doing a graphic.

We had eight different teams on the board and include the Niners and the Chargers, and of course the Bucks and the Dolphins, and even the Saints because you had the Sean Payton.

I don't remember the Bears ever being mentioned.

The sneaky part of that too, was that Brady like they had to zoom out because he brought his notes from how he decided to go to the box.

I'm like, only Brady keeps that stuff.

Here are all the reasons why, and then like the everyone's probably screenshot and zoom in on it, like what is Tom Brady said? It was such a great little nugget. All the Bears fans are.

Like, wampwomp, what could have been? We saw more to come on GMFP. He's under one day

Tory Taylor talk
