His journey was forged in the back pens of livestock sale barns before shifting to being on the auction block. However, winning the World Livestock Auctioneer Championship at just 24 years old in 2026 has offered him a new leadership opportunity for the next generation. Thompson talks about what it means to become the first father-son duo to earn the World Champion title with his dad Ty Thompson and gives his advice for those navigating the ups and downs of the cattle industry.
