Katie Couric is back with a new season of Next Question, this time with a new format: Katie + 1! While the good ol’ classic Katie Couric interview isn’t going anywhere, Season 8 boasts a variety of co-hosts, who bring their own style and new perspective to the conversations.
In the season premiere, Katie is joined by Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, to interview John Stamos, Saget’s “Full House” co-star and close friend, for a conversation that’s intimate and poignant while also irreverent and a lot of fun.
Future conversations include Katie and Kara Swisher’s interview with Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom for a deep dive on the past, present, and figure of social media. In another, Katie and author Kelly Corrigan are joined by David Brooks to discuss the growing social disconnect in our culture and the surprisingly simple (but not necessarily easy) ways we can bring people closer together.
This season is more relaxed, a little more conversational, a little more spontaneous, and quite frankly, a little more fun. So join us for season 8 of Next Question!
Hi everyone, I'm Katie Kuric and I'm back with the new season of Next Question. Yay. This season it's all about being more conversational. I love doing interviews. At this point in my life, I think I could do them in my sleep. But I wanted to mix it up a little bit this season, so I've been inviting different people to join me, to be my plus ones, to ride shotgun if you will, and sometimes actually get in the driver's seat.
I'm so honored to be a or plus one and be your partner in crime.
My date today is the one and only Kara Swisher.
I didn't know we were dating.
This is so exciting for me as a lesbian network, finally finally admitting our deep and abiding affection and really lust for each other.
It's fantastic because I think these three ways does that sound dirty? Might be a little more interesting than your traditional one on ones.
And you know what, you're the first person to ask me about that.
But I think you need to understand where you're good where you're not good, and sometimes that can be a painful process.
I think bringing in new voices will add a little Jennisequa a little to this season of Next Question. By the way, I'm not totally abandoning the idea of a one on one interview. Sometimes that's the best format. I know that during this concert that you live streamed, you sang something to your son.
It was you or my Sunshine. That's a song I used to always sing to my kids, you know, to put you know as lullabies when when it was time to go to bed.
I'm hoping it'll be more relaxed a little more spontaneous, and quite frankly, a little more fun. So please join us for this season of Next Question. I'm super excited and can't wait. I hope you'll join me or, in this case us, listen to Next Question with me Katie Couric on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
