Gold Star father Mark Schmitz, from The Freedom 13 and father of Marine LCpl Jared Schmitz, talks with us about their inaugural Angels of Abbey Gate Memorial Ride & Paintball Shootout on Saturday, September 7. You can join hundreds of patriotic bikers, cars and trucks on an 80-mile memorial ride. The pack will be led by the fully custom-wrapped semi from Bennett Family of Companies with all 13 Warrior Angels pictured on it.

The goal of The Freedom 13 is to build a Recreational Camp in each of the 50 states consisting of 13 individual homes honoring the 13 American Heroes lost in Kabul on August 26, 2021. They'll hire one veteran to work full-time on-site as a property manager and they will live on-site rent free.

The Freedom 13 Organization was set up to not only remember and honor Mark's son Jared and his 12 fellow American Heroes, but every American Hero who has made the ultimate sacrifice.
