View descriptionShare

Mike Ferguson in the Morning 12-04-24

Dr. Marschall Runge, Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Michigan, talks about a recent study revealing the groundbreaking results that ChatGPT outperformed doctors in diagnostic accuracy! We discuss how AI is revolutionizing medicine, its benefits for doctors, and how this technology is reshaping healthcare.

Fifty physicians, including 26 attending doctors and 24 residents, tackled six medical case studies. Without AI, doctors achieved 74% accuracy. Those with AI assistance reached 76%, but ChatGPT alone excelled with an impressive 90%.
