Abraham Guem who took part in the men’s 1500m track and field event at last year's Tokyo Olympics as a representative of South Sudan after a long training camp at Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture came back to Japan in May 2022 and joined "Ami Athlete Club SHARKS”.
He has been training with Yasunari Kusu and other athletes, and participated in the World Championships in Oregon, USA, in July and is now aiming to compete in the Paris Olympics to be held in 2024.
We interviewed Mr. Abraham, who is based in Japan, with his heart set on his home country.

今年5月に再来日し「阿見アスリートクラブSHARKS」に所属。

楠康成選手らとトレーニングに励み、7月にアメリカオレゴンで開催された世界陸上に出場。そして2024年開催のパリ五輪出場を目指します。

母国に思いを馳せ、日本を拠点に頑張るアブラハム選手を取材しました。
