Twenty-three year old Tarika Naidoo was killed on May 15th in an accident on the N2 near Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. The fifth year medical student from the Walter Sisulu University was on her way to a local clinic when a truck crashed into her vehicle. The driver of the truck has been charged with culpable homicide and investigations into the accident is on-going. Tarika's mother - Nishi says the family desperately seeks justice and closure. At just 16-years-old South African activist, Vernon Moodley, was exiled in the early 1960s and ultimately died after a drowning incident in 1967. Over 60 years later, his family has found a sense of closure after Moodley's remains were repatriated to South Africa and laid to rest on home soil on Friday. This follows the successful repatriation of 42 freedom fighters who were honoured by government in a ceremony at Freedom Park, in Pretoria. CEO of the Kwazulu-Natal Doctors Healthcare Coalition - Professor Morgan Chetty says this fourth wave could last longer that 75 days. Professor Chetty says the best protection against the looming fourth wave is the non-surgical interventions of social distancing, wearing of mask and sanitising. However, he says the best protection against the coronavirus is to get vaccinated. He says a small portion of the population - who are being referred to as "anti-vaxers" - are causing more harm than good by expressing their views on social media...
