SABC News and Current Affairs — by Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Tributes continue to pour in for legendary playwright and performer, Clinton Marius. Born in KwaZulu-Natal, Marius recently moved to Knysna in the Western Cape where he passed away yesterday following heart surgery at the age of 53. Lotus FM drama producer and close friend of Marius, Raeesa Mahomed, described his well known drama called "Lollipop Lane" as one of the best series to ever air on the station. She described his talent as prolific and says he had many more great years ahead, as he recently opened a theatre in Knysna where he and his partners where doing well in the performing arts industry...

At just 16-years-old South African activist, Vernon Moodley, was exiled in the early 1960s and ultimately died after a drowning incident in 1967. Over 60 years later, his family has found a sense of closure after Moodley's remains were repatriated to South Africa and laid to rest on home soil on Friday. This follows the successful repatriation of 42 freedom fighters who were honoured by government in a ceremony at Freedom Park, in Pretoria. Speaking to Newsbreak Talk's Shanell Daniel, Moodley's sister, Veronica Ally, goes back in time and shares the family's turmoil after Moodley's exile and shocking death... #sabcnews #NewsbreakTalk

By Newsbreak Producer Rachel Vadi - Latest reports suggest that a fourth wave of COVID-19 is predicted to hit South Africa in the first week of December. CEO of the Kwazulu-Natal Doctors Healthcare Coalition - Professor Morgan Chetty says this fourth wave could last longer that 75 days. Professor Chetty says the best protection against the looming fourth wave is the non-surgical interventions of social distancing, wearing of mask and sanitising. However, he says the best protection against the coronavirus is to get vaccinated. He says a small portion of the population - who are being referred to as "anti-vaxers" - are causing more harm than good by expressing their views on social media...
