By Newsbreak Producer Shanell Daniel - Universities Alliance South Africa will have its challenge against the University of the Free State's (UFS) mandatory vaccination policy heard at the Bloemfontein High Court next week. Nathan Pillay says the Covid-19 Regulations and Required Vaccination Policy was approved in November 2021 and implemented from February 2022 - despite significant opposition from within the UFS community and contrary to evidence available at the time which led to many other universities to decide not to adopt similar policies. He says the policy infringed on the rights of thousands of stakeholders, threatening to strip students and staff of their freedom of choice...
