By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - The Umhlangane River catchment, Palmiet River catchment and the Umhlatuzana River catchment have been earmarked as part of a study aimed at mitigating the impact of future floods. The study is a collaborative initiative by the French Investment Agency, the eThekwini Municipality and other stakeholders. The three catchments were identified as priority sites where experts will assess river health maintenance, waste management and human impact. Zoé Ramondou, who is the AFD Municipalities and Urban Development Team Project Manager - says the goal is to find solutions to better maintain Durbans 7,400km of rivers and streams for future planning...
