By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - As today marks 11 years since the Marikana Massacre, the Mineworkers Development Agency (MDA) says they are making great strides in creating employment and sustainable livelihoods in Marikana in the North West. Luthando Brukwe, MDA head of strategy and special projects says through the Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES) programme and together with Sibanye-Stillwater, the agency has been able build social cohesion and promote economic empowerment. The PES has, since its launch in October 2020, created opportunities for more than one million direct beneficiaries across South Africa. Brukwe explains.....
