It shows that over 40% of South African households are using credit or borrowing money for necessities like groceries and food. It also alarmingly concludes two out of five individuals have gone without electricity for the past 12 months. The situation amongst citizens is becoming worse as the world recovers from restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 era.
