By Newsbreak Producer, Matthew Veeran - The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) officially introduced upgraded banknotes and coins into the South African market today. Many of the upgrades to South Africa's new bank notes provide greater support to the country's blind and partially-sighted community. The modifications comprise of colours that have been subtly enhanced and the introduction of tactile marks that resemble braille. The coins see the biggest changes, while Nelson Mandela's portrait will still be present on all note denominations. Reserve Bank Head of Currency Management Pearl Kgalegi says a number of security features have also been added to help combat counterfeiting & stay abreast with technological advancements...
