The legendary author and activist Zuleikha Mayat was laid to rest today in Durban. The 97 year old editor of the world famous "Indian Delights" was instrumental in bringing women from all walks of life from the 1950's through the Women's Cultural Group in Durban. It is here that her love for human rights and civic engagement flourished- leaving behind a legacy that will stand the test of time. In this special edition of Newsbreak Talk- we pay homage to the unforgettable Zuleikha Mayat.

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy is pushing for a zero-tolerance drinking and driving law proposed through the National Road Traffic Amendment Bill. This after analysis has proven that drinking and driving largely contributes to road fatalities in the country. Therapeutic Manager for The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Rudhika Naidoo, says a ban on drinking and driving is welcomed, however work needs to be done to do the same with being under the influence of drugs while behind the wheel...
