Eskom says it aims to maintain loadshedding between stage 3 and 5, however stage 8 is a possibility if planned interventions to minimise loadshedding are not successful. Independent Energy Analyst, Hilton Trollip says Eskom's failure to implement adequate interventions to minimise strain on the grid will indeed result in more frequent bouts of loadshedding over the winter period.
