By Newsbreak Producers Matthew Veeran & Hoosen Ebrahim - Athletes from around the continent have thrown their names into the hat ahead of the 2024 Durban International Marathon. It's the only race in KZN which enjoys World Athletics Label Road Race status. As it was in its last two editions, the event will double up as Athletic South Africa's Marathon Championships. But there will be another layer added to the race this time round with it also playing host to the Confederation of African Athletics Region 5 Championships. KwaZulu-Natal Athletics President Steve Mkasi joined Newsbreak to tell us more, he's been hard at work with preparations ahead of the event...
