Police are conducting raids at Dragon City in Fordsburg in Gauteng today. This raid comes in the wake of rampant looting and destruction of shops owned by foreign nationals in Johannesburg over the past two weeks. Officials are confiscating fake goods bearing brand names such as Guess, Nike, Kappa and Champion. Police spokesperson Captain Mavelo Masondo is at the raid at Dragon City....

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy is pushing for a zero-tolerance drinking and driving law proposed through the National Road Traffic Amendment Bill. This after analysis has proven that drinking and driving largely contributes to road fatalities in the country. Therapeutic Manager for The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Rudhika Naidoo, says a ban on drinking and driving is welcomed, however work needs to be done to do the same with being under the influence of drugs while behind the wheel...
