This Youth Month, AWARE.org is concerned that about 19.9% of young people claim their first drink of alcohol by 13, highlighting that underage drinking is alarmingly prevalent in South Africa. Nearly 50% of high school learners say they have consumed alcohol. Vee Gani from the Parents Association of KZN and Brandon Pillay from the Bayview Ubuntu Community Centre joined the discussion.
